C-USA TV Seniors Amanda Chamberlain and Holly Milam and junior Karley York have continued to cement their legacy in the program by working their way up the program s career records lists. Milam became the first player in program history to amass 900 kills (995), 600 digs (613), and 250 blocks (259). With 995 career kills, Milam passed Tara Hooser for seventh in school history and inched closer to Jessica Brown s 1,002 kills. Milam s 220 career block UAB assists rank 10th all-time. With a career attack percentage of.358, Chamberlain is on pace for the best mark in school history. She is just the ninth player in program history to amass 300 career blocks and is two shy of passing Carly Collins for seventh in school history. Chamberlain s 254 block assists rank sixth all-time and she needs five more to move to fifth in school history. York has compiled 1,756 career assists, which rank eighth in program history, and she needs 173 more to pass Heather Maddox for seventh place. Home Sweet Home BLAZERS (9-10, 3-1 C-USA) The North Texas Volleyball Center has been a tough place for opponents to come into. Nearly every home match is a sell out and the low roof provides an advantage to the Mean Green. In the Palileo era, the Mean Green own a record when playing at home.

The Mean Green placed two players on the C-USA Preseason Team in senior middle blockers Amanda Chamberlain and Holly Milam. The Mean Green was declared the champion of the North Texas Invitiational (2-0), Beantown Challenge (3-0), North Texas Challenge (3-0) and the Maroon Classic (3-0). Setter Karley York was named to the alltournament team in each of the four events, earning MVP honors at the North Texas Challenge. Tradition of Academic Success The North Texas volleyball program received an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the seventh consecutive year. Additionally, the Mean Green made the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, which indicates a top-25 grade-point average among Division I programs. The AVCA introduced the honor roll to mark the 25th anniversary of the award.
