Sacramento defeats Las Vegas 8-7 to sweep the series: The River Cats defeated the 51 s 8-7 last night to sweep the four-game series in the finale of the road trip before a crowd of 7,918 at Raley Field. Las Vegas offense: The 51 s recorded 9 hits and rallied from a 7-3 deficit to tie the score at 7-7 on a ninth inning solo homer with two outs by shortstop Phillip Evans (4-for- 5, two doubles, 2 RBI, two runs scored). First baseman Jhoan Urena (1-for-3, walk) hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning and third baseman Jeff McNeil (1-for-5) hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning. Sacramento offense: The River Cats recorded 14 hits and built a 7-3 lead after six innings.
