Right Fielder 1) Catches all balls hit in outfield between right base line and center fielder. 2) Throws the ball to first base, second base, third base, or home to stop advancing runner. 3) Backs up first baseman (stand behind first baseman) on all balls fielded (being caught) by first baseman in case the first baseman misses catching the ball. 4) Backs up first baseman (stand behind first baseman) on all balls thrown to first base in case the first baseman misses catching the ball.
