2 THE ULTIMATE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP EXPERIENCE The Game Day USA National Championships and World Famous Bat Wars Event is a four-day national tournament (Thursday thru Sunday) for 8U through 15U baseball and fast pitch 8U through 18U teams, played at some of the best facilities in the nation. There will also be plenty of free time for families to enjoy the flavor of local attractions and amenities throughout their tournament play. From our Opening Ceremonies to Championship Sunday players, coaches and fans will enjoy a memorable family experience. 3 about the nationals This four-day event features a blend of teams from throughout the country, opening ceremonies and parade of teams, Wilson Skills Competition, DeMarni Home Run Derby, and the World Famous Bat Wars. Players from this event will be invited to participate in Game Day USA All-Star weekend events presented by DeMarini. PRICING INFO $ Team Entry Fee $ Prepaid Spectator Admission Fee OUTSTANDING FACILITIES Our Chicago Nationals main facility will be at beautiful Atten Park located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Our Indianapolis event will be held at award winning Billericay Park in Fishers, Indiana, a Northeastern Suburb of Indianapolis. In addition, we will use local high school fields for the older age groups. OPENING CEREMONIES Opening Ceremonies in Chicago will take place at U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox. Opening Ceremonies in Indianapolis will take place at Victory Field, Home of the Indianapolis Indians, affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. THE COMPETITION The Nationals will feature teams from across the U.S. and Canada. International teams have also attended Game Day USA National events in the past, and are being invited for 2014.
4 TOURNAMENT FORMAT This event will feature a 5 game guarantee, most likely with four pool play games and a single elimination championship round based on pool play record. SKILLS COMPETITION Our Nationals will feature the Wilson Skills Competition and DeMarini Home Run Derby for all age groups. The Wilson Skills Competition will be team orientated with players participating in Around The Horn, Road Runner, Golden Arm, and the DeMarini Home Run Derby. COACHES HOME RUN DERBY Not only do the players get a chance to compete in the DeMarini Home Run Derby, but so do all the coaches. Coaches (optional) will be competing for the largest trophy you ve ever seen! world famous bat wars
5 AWARDS Championship Rings will be awarded to all age group Champions and medals to the Finalists. Champion and Finalist Coaches will receive a special commemorative award. Individual and team medals will be awarded for all Champions and Finalist in each age group for all Wilson and DeMarini Skills Competition contests. MVP AWARDS Most Valuable Players will be selected for all tournament games. Selectees will be chosen by opposing coaches and will receive a Game Day USA MVP bag-tag and opportunity to participate in one of our All-Star weekend Events. BAT WARS The World Famous Bat Wars will be on-site on Friday to provide a fun opportunity for all players. They pitch, they shag and you hit and hit and hit! Bat Wars will have all the newest bat products on hand for you and your players to try and try and try!
