In The Company of Trucks Be Seen, Be Alive! Discusses several things the driving public should be aware of as they share the roads and highways with big trucks. The main points are that trucks need more time and distance to stop than regular passenger vehicles, there are blind spots behind, in front of and on either side of trucks where the truck driver can not see another vehicle and other tips on how to reduce the likelihood of causing, or being involved in, a crash with a big truck. 10 Minute DVD from NC Association of Professional Loggers Beginning Drivers The High Risk Years This video listens to 16 year olds tell why they want their driver s license and what driving means to them. Parents of teenagers who died in crashes tell how the tragedies happened and how their families have been affected. Livestock Safety for Kids (DVD) o 11 Minutes Fire Safety For Kids (CD ROM) (Targeted for children under 10) On this CD ROM you will find short lessons about fire escape planning, smoke alarms and general home fire safety. It is recommended that an adult quide children through the lessons. Each lesson is followed by a brief five-question quiz to test children s knowledge of the subject after they have worked through the lesson. Also on the CD, you will find games to reinforce the information learned in lessons.
