2 The Charity The objective of The AWARE Foundation (Action With Awareness Regarding Education) is to give dispossessed, disadvantaged and vulnerable children in India the right to an education. AWARE reaches out to children in deprived communities throughout India by using education as a way of transforming their lives for the better. It also provides street/runaway children and orphans with a protected childhood so that they can go on to make well-informed decisions in life. Thanks to generous donations from the Indian community and supporters in the wider area, AWARE has successfully created projects that ensure education for these children is a reality. AWARE have teams working on the ground to find forgotten children who are in need of help. AWARE has successfully educated children through junior school, high school and university. Some of these children have gone on to graduate as doctors, pharmacists, accountants and to obtain arts degrees. They then go on to share their newly founded experience and knowledge to help other children who are in the same situation they once were. "Turning Our Wheels For Education"

3 The Event Starting in the south of France we will head west, initially with flat riding and then heading up into the infamous Pyrenees. Once in the mountains a few days of putting your body and mind to the challenge await. We climb high to the highest Capital City in Europe (Andorra) where we will spend a night at altitude before crossing into Spain and heading to the east coast and finishing at the steps of where Game of Thrones is filmed. This trip crosses three countries, so don't forget your passports. The itinerary: (subject to change dependent on conditions at the discretion of the organisers) Saturday 8th July Fly from Birmingham to Venice Sunday 9th July 2017 to Friday 14th July days of cycling Saturday 15th July Fly from Avignon to Birmingham The only thing cyclists will have to concentrate on will be turning their pedals and raising donations along the way. Everything else will be taken care of by the event organisers. Tour Organisers Team AWARE Cycling is part of The AWARE Foundation. AWARE has worked with this support team for the past four years and with their support, have cycled over 2,500 miles. Two motorcyclists help guide the riders, keep them safe and supported and our support van will transfer the bikes to and from England and along the way each day so there is no need to cycle with bags.

4 The Cycle Team This is a team event, which will consist of cyclists making up a peloton. Some of the more experienced riders will lead and train less experienced riders throughout the event. It is not a competitive event. Team AWARE Cycling has always focused on starting each day together and finishing each day together. Fitness Requirements The tour is suitable for most road cyclists, who have attempted an endurance cycling event before. Anyone worried about this aspect need not be; we can be contacted to discuss requirements and help with equipment and training advice. It is recommended that riders follow a fitness plan in preparation for the event. Fundraising Targets 800 per rider. * Aiming for a Team AWARE Cycling Total over 10,000. *If you raise your target of 800 you can have your initial 100 deposit refunded

5 Tour Price 900 per rider. Payment process: 100 by 31st December 2018 to confirm your place. 400 by 28th February 2018 to ensure your package is fully inclusive including flights.* 400 by 31st May 2018 to complete the balance. Can be paid on a monthly basis. *In order to include your flights this amount must be paid by 28th February 2018 otherwise flights will not be included. Payments to be made online, to The AWARE Foundation, via BTMydonate. Includes: Professional event organisation Qualified cycle guides on motorbikes (the guides are ex traffic police) Seven nights hotel accommodation Dinner, bed and breakfast Transfer of bikes from the UK to Venice before the event and back from Avignon after the event to arranged pick up points Flights (if up to date payments made by 28th February 2017).
