Entry Fee is US $ per team. Register prior to June 30, 2018 and pay only US $200 per team. Each team must complete a separate entry form. PROVIDE TWO VOLUNTEERS FROM YOUR ORGANIZATION for 2 hours of assistance on race day. If your fee is waived then you need to provide 4 volunteers for 2 hours each on race day. 2 ONLY ONE (1) DAY OF RACING JULY 28, 2018 We will only have one (1) day of racing. We will attempt to squeeze all divisional races and industry races into one day. For New Participants We encourage you to get involved!!! For teams who have never entered a Dragon Boat race, all you need is a wild gung ho crew of 18 paddlers that are willing to picnic with friends, families and their children at Ala Moana Beach Park (closer to the Magic Island area). We supply the boat, paddles, personal floatation devices (pfd) and the steersmen with approximately two (2) practice sessions per team. If you win your race heat, you advance to the next bracket. GOVERNMENT TEAM PARTICIPANTS, including all military and armed forces All Federal, State, City and County teams are free (No Charge). All levels of government may enter more than one team. There will no charge for additional teams. Although your team entries are free (meaning no charge) you will still need to provide 4 volunteers to assist the dragon boat committee for 2 hours. Please contact Denton Chun to select your volunteer time slots. Each team must provide volunteers. INTERNATIONAL RACE TEAMS, CONTINENTIAL USA TEAMS AND OUTER ISLAND TEAMS If you team is travelling from an international country, from the continental USA or from any one of our outer islands, your team entry fee will be paid for by one of our sponsors (meaning no charge). However your sweep(s) will need to assist throughout the day and you will need to provide 2 volunteers to assist the dragon boat committee for 2 hours. You may enter more than one team and there will be no charge for additional teams. Please complete the Team Volunteer form to select your volunteer time slots. Each team must provide volunteers. Race for your charity! Win money for your charity, in accordance to IRC 501(c)3 or 501(c)! To qualify your team must meet the following criteria: Pay the team entry fee; Each member of the team, including your flag catcher, drummer, and sweep must be a registered team member (your sweep must be a member of your team and steer all of your team s races); and Place in the top three of the Champions division. o 1 st place - $1, o 2 nd place - $ o 3 rd place - $250.00

To qualify your team must meet the following criteria: Have team spirit; Have good sportsmanlike conduct; Have a team uniform; and Have a flag catcher and/or drummer in costume. First to register is first to practice. We will allocate two (2) practices for each team with additional practices slots available based upon available time slots. If your team sweep is in training, then your team may have additional practice times, if a time slot is available.

This is a public service and/or advertising announcement. We will use this information to fill in air time during the races. Please tell us a little about your team. The information provided may be funny, serious, a mission statement, your purpose or cause, a specialty you have, something unique, different and/or unusual. We just want to know more about your organization or your business.

5 TEAM VOLUNTEER In order to keep our costs down, each team is to provide two (2) volunteers on the race day for 2 hours each. Teams whose entry fees are waived will be required to provide four (4) volunteers on the race day for 2 hours of assistance per person (or 3 volunteers and 1 trained/certified sweep). International, Mainland and Outer Island teams will need to provide 2 volunteers and 1 sweep. Volunteers will be required to check-in 15 (fifteen) minutes prior to their scheduled shift at the race announcer tent. Your assistance will involve being in waist high water. You will assist other team participants in entering the boat, getting off the boat and pushing the boat from the sand into the race area, etc. Contact Denton Chun via at: ChunBuns@hotmail.com if you have any questions. 6 TEAM PRACTICE SESSION In order to assist in scheduling your practice sessions, please this completed form to Wendy Loh at There are no make-up practices if a team is a no show or cancels on the day of the practice. We reserve the right to not allow a team to practice if there are less than 8 persons, or we may require a team to combine with another team if both teams do not have a full paddling team. If you start late you are required to end your practice at the scheduled time. Teams may not extend their practice time without the approval of the on-site practice coordinator. If you are entering more than one team, fill out a separate entry form for each additional team with a different team name. 3. If your team is paying the team entry fee, then they qualify to win money for the non-profit organization of their choice; however, each person on the team, including the flag catcher, drummer, paddlers, and steersperson must be a member on their team roster prior to the 1 st race of the day. 6.
