2 The Senior National Team athletes have made great progress in terms of general physical strength, endurance, flexibility, technical skills, responsibility and accountability. The results at World Championships are disappointing. In some event, the routines should have placed slightly higher ahead of Greece, Brazil and closer to France and Mexico. The athletes were noticed for their nice look: long legs and good extension and athleticism. They both made good progress especially with routine skills. The athletes have great lines for synchro. They swim with a lot of energy and good presentation for this age group. The results in Italy were very good at prelims but not in finals. Figures results were improved from previous years. The team seems more difficult than in the past because of the number of pattern changes. The technical abilities of this group was stronger at the beginning of the summer with better support scull, better understanding of vertical line and better leg height. Duet athletes matched very well but had some synchronization issues both in prelims and finals. 2. Development Camps Location and Dates: 3 weeks of training camps in Riverside, CA. 18 athletes per week, 54 athletes from all around the US. 10 coaches Training Contents: Gymnastics, Acrobatics, Flexibility, Conditioning, Technical Skills for trials. all athletes evaluated on flexibility and conditioning. 6 athletes identified for the National Talent Pool. 3.
