1 FAIRPORT HARBOR BOARD OF EDUCATION REGULAR MEETING April 27, :00 p.m. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Education Of the Fairport Harbor Exempted Village School District Held on April 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Paolino called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following members present: Mrs. Kathy Paolino Mrs. Marci Lipps Mrs. Nan Harless Mrs. Mary Javins Miss Amy Dolan APPROVAL OF AGENDA BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs Harless, seconded by Mrs. Javins, to adopt the agenda as presented and with such modifications made by the Superintendent. Ayes: Miss Dolan, Mrs. Javins, Mrs. Lipps, Mrs. Harless, Mrs. Paolino APPROVAL OF MINUTES BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs. Javins, seconded by Mrs. Lipps, to approve the minutes of the Regular meeting on of March 23, OLD BUSINESS Domenic Paolo gave an update on the progress of the PBL activity that was assigned to the 6 th grade to 1

2 design informational signs to be posted directing the public to the proper school entrances. It was reported that this assignment will now be completed by one of the art classes. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE TREASURER BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs. Javins, seconded by Mrs. Dolan, to approve the warrant list and spending plan report for the general fund for the month of February REPORTS OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM Mr. Paolo did not have Administration in attendance due to upcoming event in their perspective buildings. He spoke briefly about Mrs. Polak and the grant she is perusing to help off set the cost of the IB. He also spoke about the energy project and the meetings that Scott Hribar is having and how the information for those meetings would be brought back to the faculties committee for their review. RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE SUPERINTENDENT BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs. Javins, seconded by Ms. Dolan, to engage in the following personnel actions listed below; provided, however, that should any item included within this motion be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be void or illegal, all remaining items within this motion shall remain in full force and effect notwithstanding the status of the voided item.
