2 Movie Review By Alexia Bryant Tittle- Midnight Sun Rating-Pg-13 What it is about- The film follows 17-year-old Katie Price (Bella Thorne), sheltered since childhood with a life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight. Katie s world opens up after dark when she ventures out to play her guitar for travelers. One night, she meets Charlie (Patrick Schwarzenegger) whom she has secretly admired for years. She hides her condition from him, and the two embark on a uniquely powerful romance. You can also make some spring trail mix what you need is peeps, M and M's, Chex-mix, Cheez-its, and other candies of your choice. First, get your bag or whatever your putting this in. Add your peeps and chex mix. Then add m and m's cheez-its and whatever else you want in it. Then you can make some Kool-aid or whatever for the drinks.

4 Spring Break By Kaylee Leslie Chapmanville schools will not be having spring break. We will be making up all the days we missed. We are sad about it but we got a week of school so that was basally our spring break. We missed 1 week off school not counting weekends. Some kids here at CMS got an education leave so where they could go somewhere over spring break Track and Field By Madison Yeager Track and field is a sport which involves running and jumping hurdles. CMS also has a track and field team. Track and field has many different events like shot put, javelin and hammer. Track and field is one of the oldest sports, coming from ancient times. Their coaches are Bill Mullins and Mr. Jones. The people who are on the team are Rj Jones, Trevor Workman, Layken Vance, Larry Vankovich, and Fred Miller.

5 Mother s Day By Chelsea McCloud The day we celebrate Mother's Day is coming up! It is on May 13,2018! The reason why Mother's Day is so important is because without our mothers we wouldn t be alive, and we celebrate them for what they have done for us! So, you should do something very special for your mom on Mother's Day! Spring Formal By Bailey Ferrell The C.M.S spring formal is right around the corner. It is on May 5th from 5 p.m. to 8p.m. There will be a concession stand for foods and beverages. You will be able to take pictures with your friends. This will be a good time to be with your friends and have fun. There will be parent supervisors and guardians. Only C.M.S students shall attend. You should defiantly come and have fun!

7 Activities in the Summer By: Alexia Bryant I surveyed 57 people in the 6 th grade on what activities they like to do in the summer. The most popular activity is Build-A-Bear workshop with 12 people. The second most popular activity is going to the Rec Center to swim and workout with 10 people. The third most popular activity is doing gymnastics with 7people.The fourth most popular activities are softball and cheering with 6 people each. The fifth most popular activities are energy express and camping with 5 people each. The sixth most popular activity is baseball with 4 people. 8 Class News By: Jorja Alderman The class news is based upon what we do in each of our classes. 6th grade students have been working very hard on assignments and have been giving their best efforts. Mrs. Farley We are comparing and contrasting three types of rocks. Also, studying minerals. Mrs. Christian We are competing in a class squad math challenge in order to review 6th grade math skills Mrs. Farris Literacy articles- We read biographies and we re making a book report T-Shirt with all the information on the shirts. We will all wear our shirts to show them off. Mrs. Ball (History) We just finished the unit on the cold war. We have learned about the Korean and Vietnam Wars and the space race. We are watching October Sky and will be doing a reader s theater. Mrs. Ball (ELA) Author studies- We close authors and students researched them and created posters about them. They pretended in class. Next, we will read a book by that author and do T- Shirt book reports. Mrs. McNeely We are competing in a class squad challenge in order to review 6th grade skills just like Mrs. Christian. The winning teams will later compete in the finals in a math relay. Mrs. Maynard Students have been working diligently on their open response essay.

Because their insurance was way too high with little pay. They wanted to have a bigger pay and they ended up with them having bigger pay. Once the teachers get the bigger pay they want they will stop the strike their doing. Because their pay is so, so little they need the bigger pay to get through this.
