2 Talent Show Please get together and let us enjoy the talent in each of the Chapters. You can do this as a group or individually. You can be humorous or serious. Ya ll put this together and have fun. Please give Dolly and Bill any accompaniment on Thursday morning. If you are possibly going to enter, please let us know as soon as you can so we can determine scheduling. Categories: Chapter Comedy Individual Comedy Chapter Serious Individual Serious Youth Comedy Youth Serious Acts should be no longer than 5 minutes. Points are deducted for going overtime. 3 Collage Contest This year we are going to have each chapter make a collage representing the military and their chapter. The word collage actually derives from the French verb "coller" which means "to glue." And in fact, in its broadest definition, a collage is an act of assemblage in which series of photos or cuts of paper are glued to another piece of paper, cardboard, or canvas. Some collages may also include textured components such as ribbon, jewels, stickers, or other found objects. The crafting art of decoupage is also considered an offshoot of collage. Each collage should be no larger than the size of standard poster board, although you do not have to use poster board (22 x 28 inches). You may use any medium and make it that size. You may place your collage on an easel or stand or we can place in flat on the table. Please join us by participating and enjoy the creativity of each chapter as they compete to win. 4 Goodie Contest You said you wanted the goodie contest back, but we only had one this year. Bring your goodies this year please! All Chapter members are invited to bring their homemade goodies and enter them in the Goodie Contest. Goodies must be brought to the designated area by 9:00 am on Saturday. 5 Chapter Visitation Photo Contest All Chapters are invited to bring their Chapter Photo and enter it in the Visitation Photo Contest. The Chapter taking the picture to enter into the contest must visit another Chapter and take the picture with the Chapter they are visiting. There is a minimum of four people from each chapter in the picture. One photo per chapter please. All entries must be submitted by the 9:00 on Saturday morning, August 3, 2018 to be eligible for judging. 6 Costume Contest (Military Style) We are going to have the regular costume contest including a Military uniform part. Can you still fit in your Military Uniform or a part of the Uniform? Want to try? You can compete in either the regular costume part, the military part, or both. We are going to have fun! You can compete as an individual, couple or group. 7 Chapter Pride Competition Proud of your Chapter? This is your chance to demonstrate your Chapter s Pride/Spirit! This is not a substitute for the Talent Show. Participating Chapter must have a minimum of 6 people Each participant must have a Rally Registration Armband and GWRRA Membership Card with them The time limit is 2 minutes once all participants display their armbands and GWRRA membership cards The Chapter shall perform a chant or cheer that reflects their Chapter Pride and the related Rally theme. 8 Chapter Shirt Contest GWRRA The main purpose of the Chapter Shirt Competition is to have fun, promote participation, and show Chapter Pride through your Chapter shirts. There is a minimum of 4 participants. 9 Chapter Scrapbook Contest All Georgia chapters are invited to bring their Chapter Scrapbook and enter it into the Scrapbook Contest. The scrapbook covers the time period from rally to rally. 10 Chapter Banner Contest All chapters attending the Georgia Wing Fling District Rally are invited to enter their Chapter Banner on the Banner Contest. There will be a Georgia contest and an Out of State contest. Banners must be signed in to be judged. Banners must be displayed in the designated areas by 9:00 am Saturday, August 4, Judging Criteria Points: For each of the categories below, the judges will determine if the criteria items listed exist and if it is easily viewable and distinguishable, is in good condition, and if the placement of the criteria is well balance and appealing. Your chapter banner is a direct reflection of your Chapter s personality. It should show your pride and how much fun your members are having. Be Creative, Unique, and most of all have Fun! 11 Chapter Mascot Contest Please share you chapter mascot and give them the recognition they deserve! There will be a Georgia contest and an out-of-state contest. Dress your mascot in the theme of the rally and bring it to be judged in the contest. In order to be eligible for judging, the mascot must be signed in by 9:00 am Saturday, August 4, One mascot per chapter please! 12 Lighted Bike Show We will line up in front of the Conference Center and ride to a designated area for the lighted bike show. All types of motorcycles are welcome. You do not have to have lights to participate in the ride (location to be announced later). Judging will be based on people s choice, 1 st and 2 nd place.
