We had a good turn out of different clubs coming out to pass out candy to the children of Mercerville. The clubs that participated were Student Council, Beta, FCCLA, and Leo Lions. It is a lovely, safe environment for everyone to hang out and get some candy. 2 Senior Night The Senior Night football game was South Gallia vs. River Valley on October 27th. Our seniors this year are Tristan Fox, Tristan Janey, Chad Bostic, Gavin Bevan, Garrett Saunders, Wyatt Rapp, Tanner Dennison, and A.J. Woodall. Rachal Colburn, Volleyball senior, Nickole Beaver, Cheerleading, and Jessica Luther, Cross Country senior were also featured. South Gallia Rebels Seniors that attend Buckeye Hills: Wyatt Rapp and Tanner Dennison Athlete-Cheerleading Olivia Harrison Olivia Harrison is this issue s star athlete for cheerleading. Olivia has been cheering for 6 years. She is a junior and the co-captain of the cheer squad. Olivia likes that this school is such a family-like environment. Olivia is also a part of Beta, Student Council, FFA, FCCLA, and National Honor Society, and she also runs track. In addition, Olivia has been power tumbling for eleven years. Congratulations, Olivia! Athlete- Cross Country Garrett Frazee Garrett Frazee is this issue s star athlete for cross country. Garrett has run cross country for three years. He is a sophomore currently. Garrett likes getting to be with all of his friends at school, and he likes cross country because of all the people he gets to meet. Garrett also plays basketball and runs track. Congratulations, Garrett! Athlete-Volleyball Christine Griffith By Tristan Janey Junior Christine Griffith is this issue s star athlete for volleyball. Christine plays the middle position for the Lady Rebels, and her favorite thing that she likes about volleyball is that it s fun! In addition to volleyball, Christine also plays basketball and is in the Beta Club and FCCLA. Congratulations, Christine! t ransferred. I think the better

3 Star Marching Rebel- Ariel McGuire The Marching Band star for this issue is Ariel McGuire. She is a 16-year-old sophomore, who plays alto saxophone.she is the saxophone first chair. Ariel loves how close all the band members are. They share a special bond. Congratulations, Ariel! Athlete-Football Tristan Fox Tristan Fox is our football star athlete. He is a senior and has played football for two years. He plays offensive tackle and defensive end. Tristan is also a member of Business Professionals of America. Tristan loves being part of the football family. Congratulations, Tristan! question is, Why hasn t it been transferred yet? Everyone wants answers, but the people that would know them are the Richards themselves, and no one is willing to go near their house or them. The house is surrounded by mold and dying plant life. Their house is made of cracked bricks. The house seems awful, which it is, but it s not any worse than the family itself. All of them are pale with a slight, but noticeable,blue tint to them. Their hygiene is just as bad. Messy hair, ripped clothes, and rotten teeth are traits they allshare. No one will go near them,and they won t go near anyone else. This should be comforting; however, people are still scared. It makes sense. If only they knew that it is all an act. Scary Story Feature By Hannah Polcyn The Richard s Curse has been passed through the family for generations and generations. What is the curse? The person who inherits it has everything in their life decay, even themselves. Nobody knows how or why the Richard family has this curse. The only thing they do know is that they are afraid of it. Rumor has it that the curse can be transferred to another family. Now, everyone is paranoid and left wondering who will get the curse and when will be be There Costume Contest The Student Council recently sponsored a Halloween costume contest held on Friday, October 26th. The winners were the Chipmunks: Isabella Cochran, Makayla Waugh, and Madisyn Spurlock. Also participating were Student Council President, Madison Graves, and Hannah Polcyn.

The main character of the movie is Eddie Brock, played by actor, Tom Hardy. The antagonist of the movie s name is Carlton Drake, played by actor Riz Ahmed. Really, this movie is meant for an audience that really can support a character. Throughout the movie, we see Venom and Eddie exchange dialogue and really get to know each other. They share similar personalities and really work well together when it comes down to the final fight in the movie. All in all, this is a really good movie that I recommend for people to go see! Restaurant Review By Bryceton Folden This issue, I m doing my food review on Taco Bell. It is a very good place to eat. All the food is good. I always get a Nacho Bell Grande or a Bean and Cheese Burrito. And, I usually get one of the Mt. Dew freezies! Congratulations to all of these students!! Music Review By Bryce Nolan Don t by Bryson Tiller Don t was released on May 20, 2015, as the first single for his debut studio album, Trapsoul. The song ended up peaking at #13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100; it was his first top 20 hit. My opinion of the song is that it s a real chill vibe, and I recommend this track to anyone who appreciates music in the R&B and soft rap. This song is a 7/10 to me.
