2 April 29, 2017 Dear Parents and Friends of Mercymount, It is with great pride and pleasure that I welcome you to our 23 rd Annual Auction. The Auction Committee has spent many months planning and organizing this event to benefit Mercymount Country Day School. Through their efforts and the efforts of many donors, sponsors and friends of the Mercymount community, our Bids for Kids Auction promises to be another memorable social and fund-raising event. Special thanks to Keli Sanford and Lisa Lydon, our chairpersons for this year, and to our committee, sponsors, donors and guests in attendance. From the very beginning of Bids for Kids, our school has benefited significantly. The auction has grown to be our largest and most enjoyable fundraiser. Now, as we gather together tonight, I hope that you will all experience the wonderful spirit that continues to make Mercymount so special. It is a labor of love and mercy to preserve the historic stained glass windows that adorned Mount St. Rita Chapel for 55 years and to beautify the school facility with meaningful works of art. This project is being undertaken in honor of Sr. Martha Mulligan as she retires after 25 years of service as Principal.

Your child can check out books, process Accelerated Reading books and teach a class!! He or she can also invite a friend to enjoy a special lunch in the library. Do they love to be in the spotlight? This special package will feature your child or children to be in the spotlight at our annual art gallery during The Celebration of the Arts. Your child(ren) will have a designated spot with ALL their work displayed. Each piece will be specially matted and framed or in the case of sculptures put on pedestals. They will, if they choose, stand with their work and talk to the viewers about their pieces. Their work will continue to be on display in the foyer for all to admire for the remainder of the week.
