1 HOW TO QUALIFY At NDA Summer or Fall Camps Regional or Classic competition By video (form found in this packet) THREE DAY, ONE VENUE FORMAT! CHAMPIONSHIP RESIDENT PACKAGE Two nights accommodations at your choice of one of five Universal Resort Properties: the Portofino Bay Hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel, the Royal Pacific Resort, Sapphire Falls Resort or Universal s Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Registration for the Championship (participants and coaches) Each performer is allowed two routines (included in fees). Additional performances are $70 per person Gift (Participants and Coaches Only) Free admission into all performances (a $75 value) One Hard Rock Cafe meal voucher (resident package only) Discounted park tickets available Opportunity for practice time on Thursday, March 1 st or Friday, March 2 nd at the Universal Sound Stage for resident package teams only. Times are limited and all teams may not get the opportunity for early practice. CHAMPIONSHIP COMMUTER PACKAGE Includes all amenities of the championship package except hotel accommodations, early practice times and meal vouchers. ITINERARY THURSDAY, MARCH 1 ST Early arrival day. Teams purchasing the NDA resident package may sign up for a practice time at the Universal Sound Stage. Please be advised that hotel check-in cannot be guaranteed until 4:00pm. Early registration will be held this day at the Hard Rock Live. A Coaches Meeting will take place this evening for those coaches that have arrived in Orlando. FRIDAY, MARCH 2 ND, REGISTRATION Arrival Day: Teams purchasing the NDA resident package that did not arrive on March 1 st will have the opportunity to sign up for a practice time at the Universal Sound Stage. Commuter and resident Coaches can check in at the NDA Registration Desk, located at the Hard Rock Live between 8:00am and 9:00pm. Coaches arriving late Thursday or on Friday can stop by the Coaches Hospitality Room to get the Coaches Meeting Information from a NDA representative. Preliminary Competition will begin at 8:00am. The following division categories preliminary competition may take place on Friday: JHMS - Jazz; JV - Hip Hop, Kick, Pom; SV - Hip Hop, Jazz, Kick, Team Performance; MV - Hip Hop, Kick, Pom, Team Performance; Large Varsity - Jazz, Kick, Pom, Team Performance. SATURDAY, MARCH 3 RD Preliminary competition continues for all remaining division categories in the Hard Rock Live. Final competition for select Friday division categories will be held this evening. SUNDAY, MARCH 4 TH Final competitions and award ceremonies take place for all divisions. If you re in a Saturday Preliminary Competition Category, we suggest that you do not book flights before 10:00pm. page 1 of 14

2 INTERNATIONAL DIVISIONS NDA is offering an International division in the Team Performance and Pom Categories. Teams from the United States that participate in the Small, Medium or Large Team Performance and Pom Categories may choose whether or not they want to be considered for qualification for this Division. Qualification will be based on Preliminary Day scores. At least one team from each of the Small, Medium and Large Team Performance or Pom Divisions will qualify to participate against international teams. The International Team Performance and Pom Divisions will take place on Sunday. The winning team will receive the NDA International Championship trophy. No additional registration fee is required for U.S. teams. More information will be included in the NDA Nationals Confirmation Packet. ACCOMMODATIONS The Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, the Royal Pacific Hotel, Sapphire Falls Resort and Universal s Cabana Bay Resort are the official host hotels of the NDA National Championship. Additional room nights may be purchased at the NDA rate at the following hotels: Portofino Bay Hotel, Royal Pacific Resort and Hard Rock Hotel: $351 per room, per night (tax included) Universal s Cabana Beach Resort Standard Room: $231 per room, per night (tax included) Universal s Cabana Beach Resort Family Suite (accommodates up to six with a full size pull out couch): $297 per room, per night (tax included). Sapphire Falls Resort: $291 per room, per night (tax included) Reservations must be made through NDA in order to receive these rates. Make note of any additional room nights on the event rooming list and/or the registration form. Your invoice will reflect these additional charges. LIMITED SPACE IS AVAILABLE SO BE SURE TO REGISTER EARLY IN ORDER TO GET YOUR PREFERRED HOTEL. TRANSPORTATION A I Travel is the official air transportation provider for NDA. NDA TEAM PLACEMENT PROGRAM This program has been put in place for all traveling teams not using the NDA Championship Resident Package. All Performers, Coaches and Spectators not purchasing the Resident Package, staying in the Orlando area, are required to utilize one of the NDA hotel blocks set up by Connections Housing. NOTE: If you are utilizing the NDA resident package, you must complete required forms included in this information packet. Please see page 8 of this packet for Categories and Divisions offered. DIVISION CHANGE DEADLINES Teams making division/category changes between February 5 th 23 rd will be charged $500. No division changes will be accepted after February 23 rd. DEPOSIT A $30 per person deposit is required at the time of registration. BALANCE All remaining balances are due on January 15, All payments made after January 15, 2018 must be in the form of a cashier s check, credit card or money order. Credit card payments need to be made through the coaches registration portal or by calling the NDA office. If one payment is to be applied to more than one team, please indicate the amount to be credited to each team. Checks should be made payable to NDA. You may pay by school check, money order, or cashier s check. Do not send cash. Do not send individual checks. No personal checks will be accepted. Incomplete registrations will not be processed and may result in teams and spectators not being housed in the same hotel, or lack of hotel accommodations. Please be sure to complete all required forms prior to sending in your registration. Please confirm your division at nda.varsity.com. Within two weeks of receipt of your completed form(s) and deposit(s), you will receive an invoice and general information regarding the Championship. Final payment is due in the NDA office on or before each due date noted in the event information. Payments not received by these dates will result in the Team/Spectator being automatically removed from the event, which will result in a complete forfeiture of all monies paid according to the cancellation deadlines for that specific event. Note: A $50 returned check fee will be charged for each insufficient funds check. Any payments received after the final payment date must be in the form of an official school check, cashier s check, money order, or credit card. In order to pay by credit card call 877.NDA.2WIN ( ) or Coaches may use their payment portal online. LATE REGISTRATIONS If space is available, late registrations will be accepted after the designated deadlines by sending in the total amount due with your registration. If you are registering late, the full payment must be submitted in the form of a school check, cashier s check, money order, or credit card. The standard cancellation policy will apply to all late registrations. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS Notification of cancellations and request for refund must be made in writing, and ed or faxed to NDA. No cancellations will be accepted by phone. Cancellations may be faxed to NDA at NDA is not responsible for faxes not received. All cancellations must be received during business hours, Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, CST. If your cancellation is not received during these hours, it will be dated the next business day. ACCOMMODATIONS/ROOMMATE PREFERENCES (RESIDENT TEAMS ONLY) List the full name(s) of the individuals sharing a room. Registrations for Resident Packages that do not have a completed rooming list cannot be processed until all information is received. Due to hotel requirements, the maximum number of people per room is four (exception: Cabana Bay Beach Resort Family Suites, maximum six). Participants, Coaches and Spectators may room together. While the hotel will try to block all group rooms close to each other, they cannot guarantee this. Additional room nights at the NDA rate are available before or after the actual event date. Please note any additional room nights on the team rooming list and/or the Spectator Registration Form. Cancellations or changes to the number of people in the room may effect the rate. Your invoice will reflect these additional charges. 11 SCHOOL TEAM PERFORMANCE ROUTINE OUTLINE Routines must clearly encompass at least 30 consecutive seconds of all four styles: Jazz, Pom, Kick and Hip Hop. Each style will be judged. 12 VIDEO QUALIFICATION This form must accompany your video. Please be sure to check the division for which your team is trying to qualify. Teams should perform a routine displaying their best performance ability. Any of the following categories may be used: Pom/Hip Hop/Kick/ Jazz/TP. The routine must adhere to the NDA Rules. Each team will be judged by the same criteria as those teams that competed in the Home Routine Evaluation at Summer Camp. In most cases, you will be notified of your qualification status within two weeks of receipt; please check with NDA to verify receipt. Double check your division accuracy prior to faxing or mailing in your registration.
