Completed application form (page 3) 2. Recent headshot picture of the candidate attached to the registration form 3. Waiver of liability sheet (signed) 4. Copy of medical insurance card (front and back) 5. Non-refundable $20 application fee. No Personal Checks will be accepted. The following forms of payments are acceptable: Money Order, Cash, Cashier s Check, Booster Check *All of the above documents (1-5) must be complete before you register at auditions. When you register you will hand them in. Do not mail them to the band hall prior to tryouts. 2 Audition Process Individual Routine Candidate will perform a 3-5 minute routine to the music of his/her choice. The routine must include two batons, three batons, and multiple turns. Appropriate small props such as ribbons, hoops, knives, etc. are encouraged, but not required (NO fire batons). The candidate will be judged on speed, showmanship, level of difficulty, and appearance. Music A CD player will be provided for your use. Bring a CD labeled with your name and number of performance track. Your CD must be playable in all devices, and we are not responsible if yours does not work properly. You may use a smartphone or mp3 player if you prefer. Please remove the case prior to the audition. We strongly recommend a CD as a backup. Music chosen for the individual routine is completely up to the candidate; however, it should be tasteful. What to Wear Candidate may wear a performance costume of his or her choice. Costume should be tasteful and complimentary. Hair and make-up should flatter the individual. Earrings may be worn. Additional Information Auditions are closed to the public. Video recordings will not be accepted as a form of audition. At the time of the audition, each candidate should be currently enrolled at Mississippi State University or admitted to the university for the Fall 2018 semester.
