On November 13th, it is National Indian Pudding Day! You probably think it is from India, but it isn t. It is from New England. It is necessarily a cold-weather classic. The English brought it to America and changed it entirely. In one of our articles, it will show how to make Indian pudding. They were lacking wheat, and replaced it with cornmeal. Cornmeal was one of the main ingredients in pudding. So was milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, ground ginger, and water. It is a delicious custard. Make you try some Indian pudding. Celebrate this is a Delicious Holiday! World Kindness Day! World Kindness Day is on November 13. From the title I guess you already know what this sub- article is about. Celebrate the known celebration. It started on This Celebration is celebrated all around the world! Some random deeds is doing community service, helping a friend in need, and just being nice to a person that you revolt. 2 The Goosebumps Movie! The new movie Goosebumps came out on October 16, 2015 and was based on the popular kid s series Goosebumps. The movie takes place in Madison, Delaware in which the main character, Zach Cooper just moved. He meets his neighbor, Hannah, and her father warns him to stay away from her. That night, he hears the neighbors fighting, followed by Hannah s screams. He calls the police but it appears the screams came from a horror film. He calls his new friend champ, and they break into the house after tricking R.L Stine into going to the police station for further questioning. They find a bookcase full of Goosebumps books, all with locks on them. They open The Abdominal Snowman of Pasadena book and the ink on the pages come to life to form a monster. They go to capture it, but they leave the key next to the books and Slappy opens all the books and releases the monsters and burns their manuscripts, so the monsters cannot be trapped in the manuscripts again. They dodge through monsters who want to kill R.L. Stine for trapping them in the books for years such as a giant praying mantis, zombies, the werewolf, the blob, the yeti, and many, many other ghouls from the Goosebumps book, trying to get to the high school where R.L. Stine has his magic typewriter he uses to make the monsters come to life. The monsters then attack the school and the high school kids, who were enjoying prom, now blocked off the entrances and fought off monsters so R.L. Stine could continue to finish the story and capture the monsters. Slappy secretly enters and breaks his fingers with the typewriter case so he can t finish the story. After Hannah, champ, Zach, and R.L. Stine set off an explosion to delay the monsters, they escape to a deserted carnival and Zach finishes the story and they capture all the monsters, which includes Hannah and at last R.L. Stine reveals Hannah is a ghost and all the monsters are trapped again. In the end, R.L. Stine writes a book realizing Hannah and the story ends happily. In my opinion the movie was amazing and exiting I definitely recommend it. -By Madeleine Madura 2

Chargers Have a Bad Record? Chargers may be doomed from the playoffs because they have a record of 2-6. They only won against the Detroit Lions and The Cleveland Browns.

3 Chargers Have a Bad Record? Chargers may be doomed from the playoffs because they have a record of 2-6. They only won against the Detroit Lions and The Cleveland Browns. With this record, the San Diego Chargers have to win 8 games in a row in order to have a good enough record to win the wild card. This may be impossible. They lost against the Baltimore Ravens only by a field goal at a score of The Chargers played a wonderful game but there was only one problem with that game, there was plenty of injured players during that game. When the Chargers played against the Ravens, the Ravens had a record of 1-6 but since they defeated the Chargers, now the Ravens have the same record as the Chargers. Hopefully the Chargers can win against the Chicago Bears or else they will have a record of 2-7. Maybe the Chargers could go to playoffs this year. It is very clear that the San Diego Charger are out of the playoffs unless they can win their last 7 games, but have hope that they could win the wild card with a record of 9-7.

Chargers is just doing plain bad and aren t even playing that hard. Many players are injured, lots of dropped passes, and it seems as if the Chargers aren t trying to win the game. They aren t the same unlike last year with a record of 9-7. If the Chargers win their last 7 games they may have a chance to win the Wild Card but it is nearly impossible to win the 7 games in a row. I m not sure about you, but if Chargers are going to move to L.A, then don t you want their last season to great? Chargers right now are disappointing many fans and many Chargers players are getting hurt or not doing that well. For example, Melvin Gordon is doing badly. I understand that this is his first season but Melvin Gordon should be doing well. I just hope that the Chargers get back on their feet because they are doing badly this season. -Michael Carolino 4

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef 1 egg ¼ cup bread crumbs 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper ½ teaspoon seasoned salt ½ teaspoon onion powder ½ teaspoon garlic

5 Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef 1 egg ¼ cup bread crumbs 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper ½ teaspoon seasoned salt ½ teaspoon onion powder ½ teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 cup thinly sliced onion 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 cup beef broth 1 tablespoon cooking sherry ½ teaspoon seasoned salt Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 25 minutes Ready In: 40 minutes Directions: 1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce altogether. Then form it into 8 balls, then flatten into patties. 2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillets over medium heat. Then, fry the patties and onions in the oil until the patties are nicely browned, for about 4 minutes on each side. Remove the beef patties and place on plate and keep warm. 3. Sprinkle flour over the onions and drippings in the skillet. Stir in flour with a fork, while scraping bits of beef of the bottom as you stir. Then, gradually mix in the beef broth and sherry. Season with seasoned salt. Let it simmer and stir over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, until the gravy thickens. Lastly, turn the heat to low, return the patties to the gravy, cover, and simmer again for another 15 minutes. 4. Congratulations! You have finished this recipe! - Maui Wabe 5

Mrs. Van Orden: I am a mom with 2 kids (15 and 16 year old) and they are a sophmore and senior in high school. I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I speak 3 languages, Portuguese, Spanish, and some German. I lived in Europe for a year and I love to travel, go to the beach, do wakeboarding, do snow skiing, do water skiing, and do scuba diving. I am also married to a man named Phil. Maui: Before you started teaching, did you have another job? Mrs. Van Orden: I was a restaurant manager, a preschool teacher, a commercial diver, and I worked at the D.A. office. Maui: What was your biggest challenge while teaching? Mrs. Van Orden: My biggest challenge was teaching misbehaved kids at CPMA Middle School. Maui: What is your biggest joy? Mrs. Van Orden: My biggest joy is when kids showed what they learned in class.
