3 ABOUT DREAMTYME ALL STARS: Cheerleading is a fun way to get fit and make life long friends while gaining experience with stunting, tumbling, jumping and dancing. With such a wide variety of skill sets cheerleading is a sport for both females AND males. DreamTyme All Stars is run by four cheer professionals, all of whom have extensive backgrounds in cheerleading and are IASF credentialed coaches. All four have represented Australia in the World Cheerleading and Dance Championships multiple times. In addition, each has helped bring several state and national titles to their respective programs and have demonstrated success as athletes and coaches at the state, national, and international levels of competition. Together, Liz, Nat, Shan and Jay have a combined 53 years experience in the cheerleading and dance world. All of them have a passion for spreading their cheer and dance knowledge to anyone who is willing to learn. DreamTyme All Stars are excited to be bringing quality cheerleading and dance programs to you in 2013 The Dream Factory is a fully equipped training facility, providing both the novice and advanced cheerleaders with the opportunity to develop and perfect cheerleading skills at all levels. All competitions are compulsory, if you have issues with any of these dates please inform your coach by the third week of term 1 as this may affect choreography. Please also note that as terms 2, 3 and 4 are preparation and competition terms we will also need to be informed of any planned absences during this time. 5 FEES AND COSTS: 1.5 Hour Classes: $15 a session 1 Hour Classes: $12 a Session 45 min Classes: $10 a session o Invoices will be sent at the commencement of each term. Payment must be made within the first 3 weeks of term otherwise a late fee will be incurred. o Fees will be capped at $45 a week. Summer classes: Classes are Pay As You Go, until the commencement of term Payment is required at the beginning of each class. Unfortunately athletes will not be permitted to participate if they have not paid for the class. One off Costs: $20 covers your DreamTyme All Stars and AASCF membership & personal accident insurance. Music Levy: $20 to cover the costs of the routine music Uniforms: costs are TBA. Athletes will be required to purchase their own uniform, and bow. DreamTyme All Stars will provide ample notice before payment is due. We endeavor to keep the costs down. Cheer Shoes: all athletes are required to purchase their own proper cheer shoes. See further down. Competition Entry Fees: Competition costs range between $35 - $70 per competition. Additional costs for multiple routines. As soon as the 2013 prices are release we will send notification. Workshops: TBA Clothing Training Attire We will be ordering training t-shirts in 2013 but for the meantime appropriate training attire should be worn. This includes T-shirts or singlet s and bike shorts or leggings. Loose fitting clothing is not appropriate for cheerleading, no denim, zippers, etc. Cheer shoes: Initially runners (Not Volley s) are fine for training. However, athletes will also be required to wear white cheerleading shoes to train in if continuing into 2013, other white sports shoes are also unsuitable due to the grip on the shoe s sole, which can cause injury to other athletes. Cheer Shoes cost between $65.00 and $ *To purchase cheer appropriate shoes please speak to your coaches. Please tie hair back so that it is out of your face and not likely to get caught during stunts. Also ensure that your jewelry is removed prior to training (small studs or sleepers are worn at your own risk and it is recommended that they be removed prior to training), and that your nails are kept to a short length. If you arrive at training without appropriate clothing or shoes you may be asked to sit out. This is for safety reasons and will be at the discretion of the coaches. As cheerleading is a sport that requires close contact with other people, we also ask you to be especially aware of your hygiene when attending training. Showers and deodorant are essential. Competition Uniform Uniforms will be supplied for each athlete. All athletes will require their own white cheer shoes, club shorts and training t-for competitions.

6 PHOTOGRAPHY AT COMPETITION There is often professional photography at all competitions. This means that team and individual shots are taken and available for purchase by you and the club. It is also a possibility that these photos are used for promotional purposes by the coach, club and Gymnastics Victoria/Australia. If you have any problems with this, please let us know as soon as possible. If DTAS wish to use an image of your child for club promotion we will contact you before publishing. COACHES CONTACT DETAILS If you are going to be late to any training session or if you need to contact your coach outside of training times, their details can be found on the front page. Also please notify your coach at least 2 weeks prior to missing any training sessions. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions or let your coach know about any training or Cheerleading related issues as soon as possible, they won t bite! Don t wait a week until the next training session, you might forget! If you are ill please contact your coach via (or mobile) as soon as possible. Camps AASCF Super Summer Camp o 21 st & 22 nd January at 14a Hayward Road, Ferntree Gully (Our Home ) What age: 7 years and upwards ages are all separated- you train with your age and level. What Standard: Beginner- Level 1 Intermediate- Levels 2-3 Advanced- Levels 4-6 What time: 9am 5pm both days How much: $160 for 2 day package $85 for day 1 includes camp tee shirt. Registration Deadline: December 18th 2012 or when places fill. A $15 1 day/$25 2 day late fee will apply to all applications accepted after this date. ** Please ask your coaches for more details. Workshops: DTAS Cheerleading will be offering workshops with some of the World s most expert Cheerleading Coaches These will incur in additional fee, however we will keep these as low as possible. FUNDRAISING Fundraising is an important part of the DTAS Cheerleading program. It helps to take some of the financial burden off you, the members. Fundraising pays for things like uniforms, pom pons, music and will occasionally take money off your entry fees or other expenses. Every member of the squad is expected to take part in fundraising. If anyone fails to do this to an acceptable level, they will lose the benefits the fundraising produces.

7 DreamTyme All Stars (Effective from February 2013) Direct Debit Available... FEES AND COSTS: One off Costs: $20 covers your DreamTyme All Stars and Personal Accident Insurance (AASCF membership) Music Levy: $20 per routine to cover the costs of the routine music o Athletes competing in Group Stunts and Dance Doubles will have additional costs - TBA Uniforms: costs are TBA. Athletes will be required to purchase their own uniform, and bow. DreamTyme All Stars will provide ample notice before payment is due. We endeavor to keep the costs down. o All Dancers and Cheerleaders in Competitive Squads must purchase our DreamTyme All Stars Training uniform T-shirts for all performances and travelling to & from. PAY-AS-YOU-GO: Payment must be paid at the commencement of each lesson. Failure to pay means the student will not be permitted to participate in the lesson 3 4-hour class per week - $10 1- hour class per week - $ hour class per week - $15 3-hour + class per week - $ 20 (We will arrange a personal payment plan for University students or Apprentices to help them pay for their fees for the Senior aged squads please talk to your DTAS staff)... 9 Information for DTAS Cheer and Dance Squad Members & Parents Attendance a) Attendance to all training sessions is compulsory, unless prior arrangements have been made with the coaches. Please inform the coach of absences two weeks in advance in the lead up to competitions or at the prior training session during non-competition season. b) Last minute illness must be reported to the coaches prior to training session. Coaches contact details can be found in the Welcome Pack. c) Squad members will be expected to stay for the entire length of the training session except by prior arrangement. 2 - Punctuality a) All training sessions will begin on time and squad members should aim to arrive at least 5 minutes early to avoid last minute hold ups. If you are more than half an hour late without sufficient reason this may be noted as an unexplained absence for the entire session. This will be at the discretion of the coaches. b) Regular late-comers will first receive a warning and may even lose their position on the squad. This will be determined solely by the coaches. 3 - Commitment a) In the lead-up to any performances or competitions, any extra training sessions will require compulsory attendance. A minimum of 2 weeks notice will be given and training times will be organized to best fit in with the majority of the squad s availability. b) Any non-availability for competitions or performances must be reported to coaches immediately upon notification of the competition/performance dates. c) Team members are expected to read all notices, sms messages and s. 4 Uniforms and training attire a) Squad members must always arrive at training changed and in suitable attire, including footwear. Please see the welcome pack for what is deemed appropriate. b) Each squad member will assume complete responsibility for his/her uniform when in their possession. c) Uniforms may not be altered in any way without permission from the coaches. d) Members need to ensure their uniform is well maintained, as those wearing a damaged uniform will be unable to compete.

10 5 Competitions and performances a) Each squad member is required to attend ALL competitions. b) Each squad member is required to arrive at performance/competition arena at designated time. c) Each squad member is required to arrive dressed as requested by the coaches. d) When distributed prior to a performance, all team members are responsible for bringing their own uniform and poms (if applicable). e) All squad members will remain in designated area before and after performance and are expected to act professionally at all times, on and off the performance space. f) It is a possibility that my or my child s photo will be used for promotional purposes by the club or gymnastics Victoria/Australia g) No smoking or drinking is permitted 6 Respect a) Squad members will act with complete consideration and respect for the coaches and fellow squad members. b) Cheerleading is a team sport and squad members are expected to always be supportive of others to encourage the squad to advance as a unit. c) Coaches will always act in the best interest of the squad as a whole and therefore squad members must always be respectful of coaches decisions, even if they do not agree. Any genuine concerns and opinions will always be considered by coaches but only if approached in an appropriate manner. d) If the coaches feel you have failed to comply with the above may result in being asked to leave/be picked up from training immediately, and possible suspension or expulsion from the squad. 8 Fees a) The DTAS Cheerleading program endeavour s to run quality cheerleading programs at an affordable rate. Squad members are required to ensure that their fees are kept up to date. Outstanding fees will result in an inability to be entered in competitions.

13 DreamTyme All Stars Photo Consent Form DTAS Cheerleading members may be photographed for promotional and marketing material and for use on its website in order to promote the squad to the public. DTAS would like to be able to use and reproduce any photographs that are taken of you in practice and/or in uniform and is seeking your consent to do so. The photographs may also be use on the DTAS Cheerleading facebook page. Photographs of you that are sufficiently clear to identify you are considered personal information, therefore permission of use is required.
