Chaska High School Boys Soccer 2018 Program Information
Our PURPOSE is to create a program where young men can be their best through Competition, Fellowship and Service.
We seek to fulfill our PURPOSE by following the guidance of The Four Agreements: 1. Be Impeccable with Your Word. Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love. 2. Don t Take Anything Personally Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won t be the victim of needless suffering Don t Make Assumptions Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life. 4. Always Do Your Best Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret. These are derived from the book The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom. You can find out more HERE. You can order the book HERE.
School Policies Chaska soccer players are subject to rules and conditions as set out in the Chaska High School Athletics Coaches / Athletes / Parents Handbook. Click on the title to link to the PDF of this document on the Chaska High School website. This will open the file and allow you to save it to your computer or other device. These include personal responsibilities, travel guidelines, chain of communications, and much more. Please familiarize yourself with these rules and policies, as they apply to all players on all teams. Playing Time No one is guaranteed playing time. It is earned through attendance, effort, academic eligibility, ability and team needs at the coach s discretion.

Lettering and other Team Awards Any player who is selected to participate in a varsity match is eligible to letter. All senior players in good standing will receive a letter. Other awards are determined based on performance and eligibility. Game Make-Up Every effort is made to play all matches as scheduled on the Master Schedule on the CHS website, and to reschedule postponed matches. All home matches are played on the Chaska Middle Schools Campus. Uniforms Uniforms issued to players are on loan. All equipment is expected to be returned at the end of the season, clean and in good condition. Items that are lost or destroyed must be replaced or paid for. The team will replace items that are damaged during competition or through normal wear and tear. Seniors may purchase their uniforms at the end of the season.
Spectator Code Support all of our players and teams. Enjoy the game for what it is: a game. After each game and practice inquire how they and the team played that day instead of asking about the score. Be respectful to all players, coaches and referees. No sideline coaching. Please do not direct any player to do anything. A good rule of thumb is to start any comment to a player on the field with a positive word Good. Nice. Do not argue with the referees or question their judgment.
