1 The Evening of Champions will be skated on Sunday evening, October 23, 2016 at the Holiday Skating Center in Delanco, NJ. Doors open at 6:00 PM. After the show there will be social skate until 9:30 PM, so bring your skates and roll with the stars of the Eastern Region. The Super 50/50 Raffle The tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00. The drawing will be held during the EOC on October 25 th. You need not be present to win. This year the Eastern Region is sending one of our best skaters to 2016 World Championships at Novara, Italy starting on September 28 th. The skater is: Kayla Rodriguez in Sr. World Class Women s Figures & Sr. World Class Solo Dance from the Holiday Skating Club Admission Tickets Admission tickets to the EOC cost $8.00 each. The admission tickets also benefit the travel fund. It will cost more than $2500 per skater to get them to the competition. Please note that the Evening of Champions is not only a celebration, but also a fundraiser. As such, each skater, coach, or parent will need a ticket. However, children under the age of 5 are free. Check out the special-super-sizecombo-deals for program advertising that include free admission tickets. Skater/Coach Of The Year Ballot Each Eastern Region club that is in good standing with dues paid up gets one vote in each category. Each registered USA/RS Eastern Region Coach member in good standing with dues paid gets one vote in each category. Club presidents; please make copies for your coaches. National Finalist and Competitor Certificates The Evening of Champions Committee has decided to award all skaters who competed but did not place at the 2016 National Championships with Finalist Certificates or Eastern Region National Competitor Certificates. Skaters who placed will receive their appropriate plaque. Skaters who would like to upgrade the Finalist or Competitor certificate to a plaque can do so for a fee of $25.00, which will also include two free admission tickets to the EOC. To upgrade from a certificate to a plaque, mail a check to: Eastern Region, PO Box 13903, Reading, PA 19612, or call Jeanne Sincavage with a credit card at Plaque Orders MUST BE RECEIVED by October 5, 2016.

2 Plaque Presentation Skaters who placed at Nationals receive a large engraved plaque. Skaters who qualified to skate a final event at Nationals receive a Finalist Certificate or may upgrade to a plaque. Each skater, placement, finalist or participant receives only one plaque or certificate with all placements and final events and participation on the same plaque or certificate. Skaters who qualified for Nationals but did not make finals or place will receive a Participation Certificate or may upgrade to a plaque. Solo Numbers at the Evening of Champions EOC Dance Skating World Class dance skaters who are members of the World Team will perform three numbers of their choice. World Class dance finalist will perform one number of their choice. Each solo or team dance placement will skate 4 repetitions of a dance of their choice in a group or solo dance number. Solo and team dance finalists may register to skate in a group finalist solo and/or team dance number. If you would like to skate please notify jeannesk8s@hotmail.com with your intentions ASAP but no later than October 5, EOC Figure Skating Each figure World Team member and placements will be introduced to the floor and will start performing a figure or loop of their choice. The group of remaining figure finalists will be introduced to the floor and skate a figure or loop of their choice. The World Team Members, placements and finalists will be called off the circle one at time to receive their plaques and certificates. EOC Freeskating World Class freestyle skaters who are members of the World Team will perform two numbers of their choice. World Class freestyle finalists will perform one number of their choice. Freeskating placements will perform a 2-minute exhibition program. Freeskating finalists may register to skate a 1 2 minute finalist exhibition program. If you would like to skate please notify jeannesk8s@hotmail.com with your intentions ASAP but no later than October 5, EOC Club Group Numbers Each club may have one group number of approximately 3 minutes. The group may feature the club s placements and finalists. The club should a list of the skaters with notes regarding the number and featured skaters for the program and use of the announcer to sgh1@aol.com no later than October 5, A list of skaters names needs to be provided so they may be included in the program. 9/2/13 Page 2 of 8

3 Program Advertising (special-super-size-combo-deals) (All skaters receiving awards are expected to purchase an ad in the program) Program advertising directly pays for the award plaques and certificates to be presented to all the Eastern Region National placements, finalists and competitors. The program will be a folded 8-1/2 x 11 format distributed free to all who attend the EOC. In order to continue the tradition of the Eastern Region Award plaques and certificates it is strongly recommended that each club and/or the recipient s family and friends purchase ads congratulating them on their successes in Albuquerque, NM.
