2 COLt SFORAGE HOLDINGS 07 FISH DCEMBR 1, 1952 ALL FISH Stocks of all frozen fish in Canada amounted to 60,022,000 lb. on December 1, 1952, of which 56,736,000 lb. were frozen fresh and 3,266,000 lb. frozen smoked. In these figures estimates of 575,000 lb. frozen fresh and 80,000 lb. frozen smoked are included for firms failing to report on time. These holdings are lower by 6,379,000 lb. frozen fresh and lower by 171,000 lb. frozen smoked than those at November 1, )952. Compared with December 1, 1951 figures,, they are higher by 5,771,000 lb. frozen fresh and by 986,000 lb. frozen smoked. There was an "outofstorage" nvement for all classifications of b.6 million pounds as compared with a similar movement of 7.2 million pounds during November, SEA FISH COD Stocks of frozen Cod, not including estimates for late firms, were 10,496,000 lb., consisting of 9,06,000 lb. frozen fresh and 1,428,000 lb. frozen smoked. The apparent net decrease during November was 1.9 million pounds as compared with a similar movement of 675,000 pounds during November, The quantity reported as having been frozen during November was 1,500,000 lb., but no estimate 18 mde for firms falling to report on time. Stocks or frozen Haddock, not including estimates for late firms, totalled 1,764,000 lb. of which 1,466,000 lb. were frozen fresh and 298,000 lb. froz.n smoked. Haddock holdings were 37,000 lb. higher than the stocks on hand last year and 43,000 lb. higher than last month. There were 391,000 lb. reported as haying been frozen during November, ALUON Frozen Salmon stocks at December 1, were 11,501,000 lb. without estimating for late ririns, as compared with 15,025,000 lb. last year and 12,273,000 lb. last month. The apparent net decrease during November was 772,000 pounds as compared with a similar movement of 1.5 million pounds during the same month of Freezings during November were 1,522,000 lb. SLA UEflRING Frozen stocks of herring including kippers were reported as being 8,732,000 lb. of which 7,525,000 lb. were fresh and 1,207,000 lb. smoked. Last year at the same date the combined figures were 6,218,000 lb. This month's figures show a decrease of 1.2 million pounds over last month's total. The quantity frozen during November was 158,000 lb. OThIR SEA FISH Other frozen stocks amounted to 18,578,000 lb., being reported as frozen fresh 18,354,000 lb., and frozen smoked 224,000 lb. All other sea fish reported as having been frozen during November totalled 2,660,000 lb. INLAND FISH There were on hand 8,296,000 lb. of inland fish frozen fresh. There were 173, 000 lb. of inland fish frozen during the month of November,
