1 Food & Beverage Booth Information and Application The mission of the Skagit River Salmon Festival is to celebrate our amazing Skagit River and its vast resources while inspiring community conservation. The event is a fun-filled experience for families featuring youth activities and crafts, recreational and educational booths, live music and cultural opportunities. Through the day s events and activities, participants will come away with a greater understanding and appreciation of our Skagit River, our salmon resources, and our many communities it sustains. The 2018 Skagit River Salmon Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Edgewater Park in Mount Vernon. Our food and beverage booth objectives are to provide Festival visitors with a variety of food options, including salmon, and align with the farm-to-table movement at affordable prices. What is Farm-To-Table? The farm-to-table movement advocates for local, seasonal, fresh and organically-produced foods, and is promoted by farmers and restaurants as a means to connect consumers to the source of the ingredients in their meals. Booth/Food Truck Fees. The Festival requires a $165 Booth Fee. We require food vendors to set up and sell on September 7, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are a limited number of electrical outlets available. Outlets will be available on request at an additional fee of $35. Please return the attached application as soon as possible if you are interested in participating this year along with the menu you plan to serve. The Skagit River Salmon Festival will review all vendor applications and make a determination of appropriateness and acceptance. We also need to know if you have any unusual electrical requirements. Please note that you MUST have current a food handler card, business license, catering permit, and pass inspection by the Skagit County Health Department.

ZERO WASTE The Festival organization is committed to promoting the preservation and conservation of the Skagit River as an invaluable community resource. Therefore, we participate in the Skagit County Zero Waste Events Program. All food service-ware and drink containers must comply with the Zero Waste Vendor Packaging Rules. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The following, when executed, constitutes a legal contract between the vendor and the Skagit River Salmon Festival. Please print this contract, initial each line item, sign it, date it and include your 9-digit UBI or Tax Registration # on the appropriate line. Incomplete contracts will NOT be accepted. 4 Initial on all lines below: Insurance. A Certificate of General Liability Insurance is required. Ask your insurance provider to your Certificate of General Liability Insurance to skagitriverfest@gmail.com. Deadline for submission is July 19, The Certificate of General Liability Insurance must cover $1,000,000 minimum, naming the Skagit River Salmon Festival as Certificate Holder for the date of September 7, Certificates must be ed or mailed to arrive no later than July 19, 2019, if you have questions about the insurance requirement, please contact your insurance provider. I agree to keep my booth open and in operation during the Festival hours Saturday, September 7, 11 a.m. 6 p.m. No booths shall be taken down prior to 6 p.m. In case of a real emergency, contact the Festival to negotiate a mutually beneficial arrangement. I understand that if I do pack up my booth and leave Festival grounds prior to 6 p.m. without notifying a Festival official, it is considered a breach of contract and that any future application will not be considered. I understand that the Skagit River Salmon Festival is a Zero Waste event. I acknowledge that I have read and agree to follow the Zero Waste Vendor Packaging Rules at the event. Liability Release I, the undersigned vendor and anyone in my services hereby agree to hold harmless the Skagit River Salmon Festival or its members, Festival coordinator, any landowners or their agents or any person, place, or thing, fictitious or real, against any breakage, damage to goods, the weather, acts of god, sickness, accident, theft, fire, or any claim I may make against any or all the above mentioned parties stemming from my participation in the Skagit River Salmon Festival. I will be totally responsible for any liability I may incur while doing business at the Festival. I agree to collect and to pay any taxes, which may result from my sales and I assume full responsibility for my own wares. Events generate a tremendous amount of waste, much of which can be recycled and composted. As a certified Zero-Waste Event, we will be composting food scraps, recycling cans and bottles, and collecting used cooking oil for biodiesel. A Zero-Waste Event is more than just an event with recycling bins. As a participant, our event earns the right to use Skagit County s ZWE certification logo to promote our mission toward zero-waste and attract greater attendance! We expect to save on disposal costs for garbage. Being a Zero-Waste Event also benefits the Skagit River Salmon Festival the following ways: Makes our event more attractive to sponsors and attendees Provides a clean, positive environment for attendees Supports long-lasting community change toward recycling, composting, and waste reduction As a vendor at a Zero-Waste Event, we ask you to act responsibly by adhering to the following guidelines: 1. Constrain your use of packaging and service ware for the food items you provide, consistent with the attached list. Simplification of your waste stream is essential for making recycling and composting easy for event attendees. 2. Recycle all recyclable materials that you use in your booth, including all clean and dry containers. 3. Compost acceptable compostable materials that you produce in your booth. Items acceptable for composting include food waste, wooden food service products, uncoated paper packaging and paper towels.

6 4. The Zero Waste Events program provides specialized bags and bins for the collection of compostables, as well as bags and bins for recyclables and garbage. Strongly Recommended Provide your food products in compostable packaging and containers, for example: Wax Paper Compostable wooden utensils and bowls Uncoated Paper Plates Paper Napkins Uncoated Paper Boats Uncoated Paper Bowls Paper Bags Paper or Compostable Clamshells Large Condiment Dispensers Strongly Discouraged We ask you not use non-recyclable materials to package your food products.
