Elkdom nationwide had lost over 21,000 members. Now for the Good news, Glastonbury Lodge 2202 won First Place in Membership by having a net increase of 10.2%. We are well on our way to doing it again. We had a large class in May and another in June. September will be the next class. Let us keep up the good work you are all doing. I thank all who helped out with the fishing derby; we had over 20 Elks helping. How about you? I want to thank the Boy Scouts, their families, our guest speaker Robert, and our Officers & members who attended. Next year you should be there if you missed it. The Lodge will be having a Steak and or Lobster dinner on July 19 it s a great deal get your tickets before they are gone. You can t find prices like this anywhere. July 12 th I ll be heading south to New Orleans for the Grand Lodge Convention. I ll report at the July Lodge meeting. You can follow and read the daily newsletters online at web site. Did you know that Lodges can propose changes to the Grand Lodge statutes by making a resolution on the floor at the Lodge level and sending it to Grand Lodge? To find out more just ask. The Lodge Officers and myself are planning on doing a Child Safety day, hopefully in August. It will include child safety seats, Drug Awareness and I would like to have the Lodge Soccer Shoot at the same time. We can use your help. Contact myself or any Lodge Officer. We had a new class come in at the end of June. Make sure you say hi and welcome our new members and encourage them to get active. So make sure you take up my challenge. As in the past we invite you to bring any hand gun of any caliber and try your hand at "Picking Off" the sticks. Just learning to shoot, no problem we have plenty of experienced and responsible coaches to help you along. Come out and spend some fun time with like minded shooting enthusiasts. If you don't have your own one will be available for you to borrow. Eye and ear protection are recommended, and can be purchased on site. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Open to all levels The range is closed on Sunday s during Trap Shooting.
