3 Club History The club was incorporated in 2003 as the Joondalup Touch Football Association, originally operating its Summer competition at what iss now known as HBF Arena A in Joondalup. The competition was purely social forr a number of years, ranging from approximately 8-12 teams. It first sent a representative team to the TFWAA State Championshipss in 2005 inn the Mixed Open division. In 2009 the club made a strategic decision to change venues to the sports fields at ECU Joondalup campus. As part of the process of becoming an approved ECU club, it also changed its incorporated name to Edith Cowan University Touch Football. F The club steadily increased in size to 16 or more teams each Summer. In 2013 the club entered the Mens Open division for the first time, and by 2014 it wonn the coveted title. Since then the club has regularly featured in the finals series with most of the teams it has entered. The club has won five state titles at this event for the past four years, including the Mens Openn (2014, 2015, 2017) and Mens Over 40 s (2016 and 2017) ). In 2015, partly due to the strategic alliance between NRL and Touch Football Australia, but also due to limitations at its ECU venue, the clubb made a decision to create a stronger alliance with the Joondalup Giants Rugby League Club. Since 2015, the club has conducted various one- day events at Admiral Park, home of the Joondalup Giants. In 2016/17, the club re-branded itself to be known as ECU Giants Touch Football. For the first time, the club sent teams to the Junior Statee Championships, and it also won two titles (Mens Open and Over 40 Mens) at the State Championships. Following a very successful season, the club moved its Winter season to Admiral Park. On 2nd August 2017, after various discussions and planning by both parties, the Joondalup Giants Rugby Leaguee Club formally offered its support to the then ECU Touch Football to t re- brand itself to be known as Joondalup Giants. By Summer 2017/18, the club had renewed its constitution to reflect this direction. It has reverted to its originally incorporated name Joondalup Touch Football Association, and is now known in the community as Joondalup Giants Touch Football.

4 MEMBER PROFILE Over 300 people acrosss 20+ teams attend for our regular competition during Wednesday evenings from pm. This includes approximately 16 rounds of fixtures. Club membership database includes over 1000 past and present players. Approximately 300 participants are registered as active participants each Summer, which drops to approximately 150 in Winter. 5 Club Activities Representative Teams The TFWA Junior State Championships is schedule for the last weekendd of November, currently held at Lark Hill Sports Complex in Rockingham. The club is likely to have 3 or more m teams represented in this tournament, which is the most prestigious event for juniors in WA. The TFWA State Championships is schedule forr the second weekend of February, currently held at Lark Hill Sports Complex in Rockingham.. The club is likely to have 3 or more teams represented in this tournament, which is the most prestigious event for open and over-age division d players in WA. The club has won five state titles at this eventt for the pastt four years, including thee Mens Openn (2014, 2015, 2017) and Mens Over 40 s (2016 and 2017). At the conclusion of the Summer season, the open and over-age divisionn representative teams and supporters attend a formal presentation evening. Events Up to 1000 people will attend each of the following events: 1. Family Tournament to celebratee the launch of the Summer season, conducted c onn the first weekend in October annually. This attracts people of all ages, mostly from the local community plus visitors from other parts of Perth and surrounding areas. 2. Touch Football Western Australia (TFWA) Super Leaguee tournament (elite competition) hosted by the club, including 16+ teams plus supporters from all over Perth metropolitan area. 3. The end of season finals will be conducted on the third Saturday evening in February, from 5pm-8pm. This includes an awards ceremony and function in our clubrooms.

All important club information including fixtures and results are displayed on this site, which ensures the vast majority of memberss need to visit on a regular basis. The website includes a sponsors and partners section which provides an opportunity to openly display and resognise sponsors support on an ongoing basis. Apparel and merchandise All representative players and officials purchase mandatory uniforms to wear w during tournaments such as singlets, jerseys and shorts. Additionally, the vast majority of players andd many supporters also choose to purchase other merchandise such as hats, hoodies, supporter shirts, bags. Referees The club has approximately eferees eachh season, plus each teamm is required to supply a referee every second week to assist with officiating during the 16 weeks of the regular season. There are usually two referees on each match (approximately 12 matches each week).

7 About Touch Football Inclusive Touch Football is a sport which anyone and everyone can play, no matter age, gender, experience or ability. Touch Football also caters for persons who may suffer from a disability or some form of impairment. The inclusive nature of Touch Football ensures there is a place on the field for everyone. Social Nature Playing with friends, family, even total strangers is a significant part of Touch Football. The sport creates a social environment which few sportss can rival. Men and women can play together in the same side, just as parents can play with their children. The Touch Football family spreads far and wide, it only takes a game or two to realise how special the sport is and howw welcoming and considerate its people are of one another. Family Orientated Touch Football is a sport which for generations has involved families at all stages in life. It provides the opportunity for everyone in the family to be involved and even play together in weekly competitions. Mums and Dads can play with their sons and daughters, with even grandparents and grandchildren running around together in park competitions across the country. Health and Fitness Touch Football has a number of inherent mental and physical benefits, which can improvee the longevity of a person s life. Touch Footballers are constantly on the move, walking, running, jumping, stepping and everything in between. The fast paced nature of the sport ensures participants are always getting a workout no matter what they are doing. Time Efficient A game of Touch Football is over in just 45 minutes. A standard game is split into twoo 20 minute periods with a five minute half-time break. Given the social nature of the sport, players tend too arrive at their local field anywhere from 30 minutes to one minute before their game is set too commence.. With no formal training expectations, Touch Football is the perfect sport for f the person who is time poor but keen to keep active, in the most social environment possible. Participantss are able too arrive, play and leave their local field in under an hour.
