4 LOCATION General Information and Sale Notes The sale will be held at the Livestock Market, The Heath Meadow, Nunnery Way, Worcester. The market lies on the A4440 eastern ring road and can be approached off the M5 from either Junction 6 (Worcester North) or Junction 7 (Worcester South). Follow the signs to HOSPITAL A & E. METHOD OF SALE All sheep will be sold in guineas and in catalogue order unless any alteration is authorized and announced by the Auctioneers. CONDITIONS OF SALE The sale is held subject to the LAA Conditions of Sale in addition to the Auctioneers General Conditions of Sale. SETTLEMENT AND CLEARANCE OF STOCK Settlement in full is due to the Auctioneers immediately at the close of the sale. No animals will be permitted to leave the premises without an official pass obtainable upon settlement. Upset Prices: There will be an Upset price of 300 gns for Shearling Rams and Ram Lambs. Rams that do not reach this figure will not be sold. The upset price for individual shearling ewes will be 150 guineas and for individual ewe lambs 120 guineas. Individual females that do not reach this figure will not be sold. All sheep will be sold through the sale ring and will be sold in guineas.
5 Inspection There will be an Inspection for Health, Teeth and Testicles for all rams and females which will take place between a.m. on Saturday, 12 th July. The decision will be final and there will be no appeal. Any sheep not passing the Inspection should be removed from their pens by a.m. on Saturday, 12 th July, and will not be allowed to be shown or sold through the sale ring. Genotyping - Genotyping is voluntary but if sheep are tested, the genotype must be declared on the entry form and official certification available, if required, from one of the following companies: NSP, Innovis, SAC or SVS. All vendors will be responsible for the genotype stated and if it is found to be incorrect must take full responsibility for any dispute arising. All sheep must be penned by 9.30 a.m. Limited straw for bedding will be provided but Vendors must provide their own feed stuffs/buckets etc. Catalogues: Catalogues will be sent to all members and to all those who request catalogues prior to the sale day. Please remember to bring your catalogue with you.

7 IMPORTANT NOTE For vendors with MV Accreditation The Scottish Agricultural College Sheep and Goat Health Scheme (S.E.H.S.) for Maedi Visna Accreditation is policed through Signet Farm Business Consultancy in England. Vendors are reminded that all accredited stock entering the market must be accompanied by a SAC Valid Certificate of Status which must be signed and dated for the current event (show and sale). These certificates will be collected at the gate of entry to the sale centre and sheep will not be allowed into the accredited section without a current certificate. In order to protect the accreditation of all vendors the Sheep Breeders Association has asked that all vendors of MVA sheep send or fax a photocopy of the S.E.H.S. form to the Auctioneers at least one week prior to the sale day. Please note that the original forms still need to accompany the sheep and be presented to the Auctioneers PRIOR TO UNLOADING. The old MAFF SH20 Certificate is not acceptable and has been obsolete since 31 March, Scrapie Monitored Sheep A copy of the Certificate of Registration under the DEFRA Scrapie Monitoring Scheme must be lodged with the Auctioneers at least one week prior to the sale day. Export Buyers wishing to export must make their own arrangements to satisfy the regulations of the country to which the sheep are being exported.

36 CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. The highest bidder shall be the purchaser and if any dispute shall arise between two or more bidders, the lot in dispute is to be put up again at the sum last bid or the Auctioneers may declare the purchaser. 2. The bidding is to be ruled by the auctioneers who may without giving any reason refuse to accept the bid of any person. 3. No person shall retract a bid without permission of the Auctioneers, who reserves the right to himself of refusing a bid, and also the right of withdrawing any lot or lots from the sale. 4. No bidder may advance less at a bid than the sum named from time to time by the Auctioneers. 5. The Purchaser must declare their name and address and if required to, pay the Auctioneers or his clerk the amount of purchase money immediately on the fall of the hammer.
