15 MISS WAIKATO EWE HOGGET COMPETITION This competition is open to all Competitors. Class 2270 MISS WAIKATO EWE HOGGET WOOL COMPETITION Class 2271 MISS WAIKATO EWE HOGGET MEAT COMPETITION Rules: 1. The competition is open to ewe hoggets, 18 months and under. 2. One entry per breed, per exhibitor. 3 Animal must be bred by the exhibitor. 4. Entries will not be eligible for any other class in the breed, interbreed or the Allbreeds sections. 5. All entries will be scanned on the day of the show between 6am and 9am Saturday. 6. Judging to be performed by three judges. One meat breed judge, one wool breed judge and one sheep industry judge. The meat and wool sections will be judged separately. The overall winner will be selected from the winners of those two sections. 7. Every animal will be placed with a maximum of 50 points from each judge, plus the points from the scanning figures using the McCawley formula A,B,C. Scanning kindly undertaken by Melinda Wheeler. 8. Judging to take place on Saturday at 1pm. 9. Shearing: All sheep in this competition to be shorn on/or after 20th July All sheep in this competition will be paraded in the ring during judging. 11. 18 FLEECE WOOL SECTION All fleeces must be at the A & P Office by midday FRIDAY 19 October 2012 unless other arrangements have been made with the Head Steward. Fleeces must be suitably packed and properly labeled using catalogue identification cards which will be supplied immediately your entry form is received. All fleeces to be skirted and to be not more than 12 months growth. All hoggets to be shorn as Lambs. Fleeces may be donated to the wool section, proceeds from this and any wool not uplifted by 4.00 pm on Tuesday 30th October 2012 will be used to improve facilities in this section.
