2 WYNHDAM A&P SOCIETY RULES & REGULATIONS 1. All exhibits must be the bona fide property of the Exhibitor. The age, name and breeding of animals exhibited must be stated when entering them for the show. 2. Under no conditions whatever may two or more persons (unless two or more persons are trading together in partnership) exhibit. Livestock in combination in any class whatever. 3. All bulls over one year for exhibition, to be led by a ring. All cattle, except Fat Stock, to be shown in the ring. 4. No diseased animal or animals from a flock or heard known to be infected with a disease will be allowed to be shown. On this point a declaration may be required by the secretary from the Exhibitor. 5. In awarding Championships, the judges will select another animal, to be called the Reserve, to supplant the Champion in case of disqualification. Reserve Champion to be selected from first and second prizes in respective decisions and a certificate issued to the Reserve Champion. Championships will only be awarded as provided where there are at least three exhibitors, unless, in the opinion of the judge, an animal is deemed worthy of the award. 6. Ages of sheep reckoned from July 1 st, Horses from August 1 st, Junior Cattle from October 1 st, Senior Cattle from June 1 st. 7. Stallions are eligible only for entire, jumping, side saddle and costume classes. 8. The committee reserves the right to alter the conditions of, or delete, any classes in their catalogue. 9. The JUDGES WILL COMMENCE THEIR INSPECTION AT THE DESIGNATTED TIME. They will decide, without the names or inquiry as to parties or places, and will refer merely to the quality of animal exhibited. Judges are directed not to give undue weight to high condition (except in classes of Fat Stock) but to award prizes to the animals in each class which they consider best represent the particular breed or description intended to be encouraged. Judges are directed to pass over all those whose want of condition betokens any weakness or constitution, however great their merits may be in other respects. Any cow or ewe, which in the opinion of the Judges, is barren, shall be eligible to take a prize only in the Dry or Fat Stock Classes. In all classes, the Judges decision shall be final. 10. In the event of there being only one entry in any class, no prize will be given, excepting the Judge certifies to special merit. 11. Stock for exhibition to be in the yard before 8:00am on the morning of the Show. No removal of the exhibits will be allowed before 4:00pm, without the sanction of the Committee. 12. Exhibitors to give any information relative to their exhibits that the Secretary may require. All protests must be made in writing, with a deposit of $10 and left with the Secretary within two hours of the prize ticket being affixed to the exhibits and the Committee, whose decision shall be final, will decide the same as soon as practicable. The deposit will be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. There shall be no limitation of time for objection, in case of fraud or misrepresentation. 13. All competitors in the Competitions will receive a numbered ticket. No one is allowed in the Ring without having their class ticket fastened to the right are and competitors will only be permitted into the Ring while their event is being run off and must leave as soon as the same is finished. 14. Special Prize are subject to the same conditions as Society Prizes, and the executive reserve the right to allot special prizes where Society prizes are given. Where there are nine or more entries (other than specials) in classes for Horses, Ponies, Cattle, Sheep, Dairy, Produce and Baking, a third prize will be paid, equal value to half that of the second prize either in cash or goods.

3 15. The committee reserves the right to substitute donated goods in lieu of cash prizes. 16. In the Prime Sheep Classes, where maximum weight are specified, the system of live weights will be adopted. Every animal will be weighed separately before the Judge proceeds to his duties, and in the event of any animal in a pen exceeding the weights, that pen shall be disqualified and will not be judged. Judges are requested to form their decision on quality alone. 17. Progeny where used in the schedule, means their son (or sons) and/or daughter (or daughters) of an animal. 18. All stock shall be under the direction of the respective attending Members of the Committee throughout the day. Any exhibitor or person in any way interfering with or using improper language to the Judges or any Officer of the Society in, or as to, the execution of their duty, or being guilty of improper conduct on the premises, may be disqualified from exhibiting at future shows of the Society, and if an exhibitor at this show may forfeit any prizes he or they may have won. 19. Right of the Committee: The Committee or its Supervisor reserves the right to refuse any Side show or Setting Stand permission to enter the Show Grounds without giving any reason therefore. 20. Performing Animals: All dogs and performing animals must be kept tied up or in cages within the camping area. Horses, mules, donkeys or cattle will not be allowed on the ground prior to the opening of the Show. No freak or malformed living animals will be permitted on the Show Ground. Public Risk Insurance The Society s Public Risk Policy covers legal liability of Exhibitors and Competitors up to $30,000 for any one accident happening on the Showgrounds. This Policy does not protect any Exhibitor or Competitor who has already privately arranged Public Risk cover. All protected Exhibitors and Competitors will be bound by the conditions of the Society s Policy. The Society s Policy covers Exhibitors and Competitors against claims for which they may be personally liable in their aspect of Exhibitors and Competitions. Competitors are advised that there may be random tests taken during the show. * All stallions, regardless of age, must wear an identification S at all shows at all times. * In Novice Classes, performance cards must be presented to the Steward, failure to do so will result in elimination. * No measuring of horses and ponies on day of the show unless in case of dispute. * Every horse or pony entry must be accompanied with the name of the horse. * All horses and ponies competing in competitive classes or ring events, must be entered in the name of the bona fide owner, or a member of his or her family. * All leased horses or ponies competing must be registered with the RAS Head. Such lease must be for a term of not less than 12 months and must be registered before any entries are made.
