1 The Nelson Agricultural & Pastoral Association presents the Equestrian section schedule for the: 2018 Nelson A&P Show A ROYAL EQUESTRIAN EVENT HOSTED BY THE NELSON A&P PARK SHOWGROUNDS Saturday 24 th November & Sunday 25 th November 2018 The Nelson A&P Show is delighted to have been awarded a Royal Equestrian Event by the Royal Agricultural Society and this year will feature a full range of breed classes and Horse of the Year qualifiers. As a Royal the Nelson A&P Show will count for two attendance ticks for HoY qualification. We have extra special prizes generously sponsored for section winners as well as the Royal event medals and sashes! While we are unable to offer Show Jumping classes at the 2018 Nelson A&P Show, we will be running a full range of Show Hunter classes with a special offer this year of FREE ENTRY for Introductory level classes (N.B. ESNZ charges & other levies will apply). 4 2018 NELSON A&P SHOW EQUESTRIAN SECTION 2018 Royal Equestrian Event hosted by The GoldenEdge Nelson A&P Show Royal Event is run under the by-laws and regulations of the Breed or Kindred Society, the RAS and the Nelson A&P Association. In the event of conflict, RAS rules and regulations take precedence. Please refer to the RAS Equestrian Rules at the following website address This Show/Event supports the RAS 'Yellow Card System" AND Clean Sport Rules AND Arrears Policy After close of entries, if there are less than five (5) animals and/or three (3) exhibitors entered in the classes/sections, Nelson A&P Association may choose to amalgamate classes/sections as necessary. Class 1025 Pony Breeders Society of NZ (Inc) Youngstock Open to Pony Breeders Society of NZ registered three year olds, two year olds and yearlings. Foals are not eligible and youngstock not to mature over 148cm. The winner must be able to show the ring steward their registration certificate prior to receiving the sash. If it is subsequently found that the winner of a Pony Breeders Society sash is not registered with the Society, they will be required to forfeit this award. Sabino marked horses are not eligible for this section. Western or English attire, plaiting optional for this section. Height certificates are not required for this section, and all classes are open to any height including Ponies, Horses and Miniature Horses.
