2 CENTRALS The Central District Football Club has always held a special place in the hearts of people north of Adelaide. The Club s name was derived to represent a district, bringing together people from the fast growing and passionate football areas of Salisbury, Elizabeth, Gawler, Adelaide Plains, Barossa Valley and Mid-North. The Club gave our entire area a team to follow in the South Australian National Football League competition. Today the Club represents and draws it s local players from an area of Adelaide s North spanning from Salisbury and Golden Grove in suburbia and through the Barossa Valley and Kapunda & Light regions. Each season our players represent this area (our area) of over 250,000+ residents with pride on a state-wide stage and give their all for the reputation of our patch. As a Club we are relatively young - the Central District Bulldogs only began playing League Football in 1964 (after doing a 5 year apprenticeship in the SANFL Reserves competition). Since then, Centrals, despite having many great players and building a large supporter base and unique culture built off the back of the area s English Migrant Heritage, endured a 36 year initiation before breaking through for our first ever Premiership in the year Amazingly following that year, the Bulldogs won 8 more Premierships in the next 10 years to become a force of the competition and the crown jewel of Sporting Clubs north of Adelaide. 3 MESSAGE FROM THE COACH The Central District Football Club has a proud history of representing the northern suburbs of Adelaide and Gawler, Barossa Valley and Mid North Areas. While our area has always been predominantly working class and not as prosperous as some of the more well to do regions of SA, it is important for our hard working and honest local business Community to stick together. As a Footy Club we absolutely love the fact we represent the people and local businesses of our area through football. Through our representation and past successes at SANFL League level we have been able to install some much needed respect for our region through sport. As a Sponsor you can play a very important role in the community. There is no way a football club could survive or be successful without valued sponsors such as yourself being prepared to invest into the local community and giving the Club the best chance of representing our people, lifting spirits of locals and boosting morale in our community through winning football games. I personally take enormous pride in the Central District Football Club achieving the ultimate goal winning a Premiership. Achieving a goal such as this means we can stick it up the opposition, and show that our area, which is very young in history terms, can punch above our weight and show the others what our great community can achieve with the right determination and application. I have no doubt that when Centrals are up and about and going well, there is a real buzz around our local area. With the advent of some looming changes locally, the current economic climate and an era of unknown expectation, it is important we all stick together. (and current Club Sponsor) MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Prior to becoming the President of CDFC two seasons ago, I have been a Sponsor of this great Club since the early 1990 s. After following Centrals since I was a young kid I decided to get more involved and become a sponsor through my family business. It was the best decision I ever made, as the friendships I have made and the enjoyment that has followed only led to my passion for this great Club growing. Attending home match luncheons, the annual dinner auction and other Club events became part and parcel of my football year, and my wife Kerry and I felt a real sense of belonging and part of a great social circle. The ability to bring business contacts and clients along to the football club for match days or functions is certainly something they also appreciate. There is a whole community involvement which makes me feel proud, that I am giving something back to the area and the many wonderful local people that the Club represents. Football brings out so much passion, and there are no more passionate supporters than Central s. Sponsorship is a key to any club s success and, as a sponsor, seeing the Club achieve the ultimate goal of winning a premiership gave me a great sense of pride. Especially knowing that myself and fellow sponsors play a role. In helping the Club I have followed since I was a kid, survive, remain competitive and achieve it s goals makes me proud. 4 NOT JUST A FOOTBALL SPONSORSHIP CDFC is a not-for-profit organisation, representing the local community Over the last 15 years, the Central District Football Club has set the benchmark as a leading Club in the South Australian National Football League, with unparalleled success winning 9 Premierships from the last 15 seasons. This success has been the result of an on-going willingness to expand the Club and take on a variety of new ventures on and off the field. We are very proud of our record and reputation, with many regarding the Club as one of the best sporting organisations in Australia. It is our involvement and support from organisations within the local community that is instrumental to the on-going success. As a Club, we are determined to maintain the lofty standards set on the field in the last decade and to do this we have introduced a number of programmes within schools and the community to lead our youth to become potential future League footballers and important citizens within the local area. The CDFC Robert Zerella Under 15 S Academy Provides coaching and guidance to talented footballers at a young age, creates the platform for these juniors to be future League footballers with our Club, as well as leaders and role models within our community. Our Development Team Visits In Excess Of 20,000 Children Annually Through a variety of school programmes, our development team educate children about football, nutrition, interaction with people and healthy lifestyles. The Club cannot sustain such programmes within the community to continue to build the Club without the support of its sponsors, and it is this involvement for which we are very appreciative. Youth Mentoring Programmes The Club has engaged with a few youth mentorship and life skills programmes which use the Club culture to develop young community leaders and open up opportunities for teens. Workshops for young people will address drug and alcohol awareness, driver safety, party safe messages, respect, responsibility and cultural diversity. We currently provide our venue to host a programme for local students who struggle with academic and mainstream school environment. These students are being trained in life skills, first aid, sports training and strapping and hopefully will go on to become volunteers and community leaders of sporting clubs and organisations. 4

5 Barossa Light and Gawler Football Association We support our local country zone by sponsoring the Barossa, Light and Gawler Football Association which has both Senior and Junior levels. This region has always been a big part of Centrals and our relationship is extremely strong. We also support the local match day guide and local newspapers overall coverage of sport in the area. Saturday Morning School Football (SASFA) Is run at Ridley Reserve starting with a carnival in May and running through until the end of August each year. Last season teams from 10 schools in the local area participated with about players involved. School Holiday Coaching Clinics We run 2 day clinics at Playford Alive Oval each year and another clinic in our country zone. We have between 50 and 100 children at each clinic. Each participant receives > > 2 days of coaching from CDFC League Players > > A drink and a sausage roll at the end of each day > > A T-shirt > > A show bag with stickers, pencils, stress footy, drink bottle > > Opportunity to win a bag, towel, football or hat. Top Dogs In School Programme Has been in operation since The current format is aimed at year 4 7 students and is a 6 week healthy lifestyle programme. It is run throughout or promotional zone including the Barossa region. Last year approximately 2,200 students we re involved. Auskick CDFC (Playford Alive Oval) is an Auskick destination for kids in the local area. CDFC also run Craigmore Auskick Centre (over 50 participants) and Salisbury Heights as well. Netball & Lawn Bowls We have also supported clubs such as Harlequin Netball Club which represents our local area participating in the State League Netball Competition. We run one Bingo session a week at Grand Central with dividends going to our next door neighbour the Elizabeth Bowling Club. In South Australia, responsibility for the development and promotion of the game of Australian Rules Football rests with the SANFL and its League Clubs (such as CDFC) 5

6 Scholarships This year we launched a Scholarship Award in conjunction with our local Technical College St Patrick s. This scholarship will enable junior players from our Club to pursue a trades-based career outside of football. To be eligible the player must show a high level of dedication and core values both to the Club and School. Mini-League Each home match at Playford Alive Oval (and for a small number of AFL matches at Adelaide Oval) throughout the year, local Clubs from our Zone compete at half time of the main match. These players get to experience the match day atmosphere and compete in front of the home match day crowd. It is an experience not to forget. Match Day Activity At home matches played at Playford Alive Oval we often provide activities for children in attendance. Activities such as bouncy castles, face painting, showbags full of goodies are some examples. Kids under 18 are free every match. Novita Children s Services As our chosen Charity Partner the Central District Football Club assists Novita Children s Services to raise much needed awareness and funds for their cause. In 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 we helped the Novita brand reach over 350,000 people by wearing special one-off Guernseys (2011), Shorts (2012), Boots (2013) and Guernseys (2014) for a chosen home match during each season. Much media coverage was gained through this gesture and through Club Auctions, functions and our terrific supporters at these games, we have helped raise over $33,000 for Novita in the last 4 seasons. As we now head towards Season 2015, we seek the support of organisations that will back us both on and off the field as we continue to strive to lead the competition. A partnership with the Central District Football Club is not just a football sponsorship. It s an investment that assists the local community and also sees your organisation recognised within this community area. 6

Centrals televised home matches in 2014 went to air on the Main Channel 7 channel and won its Saturday Afternoon Timeslot, also outrating the corresponding AFL Match airing on Foxtel at the same time. The Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide have Reserves teams competing in the SANFL competition. Our (CDFC) Website receives an average of 15,307 visits per month. Unique browsers to our website averages at 6,263 people per month. 33.3% of our web browsers are new visitors and 66.7% are returning visitors Average time spent on the site is 1 mins and 55 seconds (based on figures over 3 months June/July/Aug 2014) Home matches and Business Lunches are great networking events. Our Annual Report goes to Adult Members. We have in excess of 7,000 people on our Contacts Database. 14 PLAYFORD ALIVE OVAL SIGNAGE Premium Mound Signage Due to the popularity of 12 new signs added on the eastern mound in 2011, 2012 saw 6 new Premium Mound signs erected on the Northern Mound at Playford Alive Oval. These prime positions give your business an elevated standing at Playford Alive Oval. Measuring approximately 7.6m long x 1.2m high these signs are in prime viewing range for both TV viewers, in CDFC and SANFL website highlights packages and from Playford Alive Oval match day attendees. Available on a One Year Agreement - $2,750 inc GST per annum Oval Fence Signage Signage at Playford Alive Oval is an ideal way to promote your business all year round to a captive local football audience. Your signage will be captured in a variety of still photographs displayed throughout the football season, used on the Club website galleries, in the local press as well as seen on Channel 7 at various times. An average crowd of approx. 3,000 per home game will also view your signage as the backdrop to all the football action throughout the season. In 2015, we are offering two package options for all oval signage, with a significant saving offered by accepting a three year agreement: One Year Agreement - $1,450 inc GST per annum Three Year Agreement - $1,100 inc GST per annum for 3 years (to be invoiced annually) Oval Fence signs are approx. 6m x 900mm Please note that all costs associated with production and installation of signage are to be incurred by the sponsor/sign holder. The Central District Football Club will only cover associated with the structural maintenance of signage. 14

15 CDFC WEBSITE ADVERTISING Central District Football Club launched its new website during the 2012 season. With the added inclusion of web video (a first at CDFC), statistics pages, updated photo gallery and team selection pages, new graphics, new content and the development of new sections and planned video series to run year round, plus a brand new Bulldog Shop for Centrals Members and Supporters to purchase Club Merchandise means our new website is a sensational portal for all fans, Members, Supporters and Sponsors to stay in touch and interact with the Club on a regular basis. The new CDFC website has prime advertising spaces for you to reach a target audience of people that visit the site. In 2015 with the introduction of more video, news and some member only content we are expecting up to and beyond 185,000 visits the site for the calendar year. Prime Advertising Space Ala The large advertisement on the Homepage Prime advertising space on the homepage is available at $5,500 per annum, 1 in 4 rotation. That is the equivalent of just $458/month to be in a prime spot on the CDFC homepage! This advertising can also be purchased at the rate of $500 per month (although with an allocation of maximum 4 advertisers rotating in this space, a yearly (12 month) booking will take precedence over a monthly or bi-monthly advertising request). By advertising in this prime space your business brand and message/offer is sure to be seen by a large portion of the 18,000+ people that visit the site each month. Medium Advertising Space Still in a prominent position on the home pages and situated to the side of content on many of the site pages throughout the CDFC site, the Medium advertising space is available to purchase at $1800 per annum (= just $150 per month). Your advertisement(s) will rotate on a share of up to 10 fellow advertisers throughout the whole calendar year on the home page and other pages that aren t sold under a naming rights agreement. This option gives you great branding and recognition amongst all CDFC website visitors, year round. * As the equivalent investment of an Outdoor Oval Sign (less than Premium Mound Sign and more than Oval Perimeter sign) this advertising investment option is only available as a per annum commitment. * Content can be changed as often as you like. * Like oval signage the sponsor is responsible for ad contributions/artwork. Ads made to size can be fowarded to the club for uploading within 24 hours. 15

16 CDFC WEBSITE ADVERTISING [CONTINUED] Naming Rights of CDFC Page/Section Sponsorship or naming rights to certain sections or pages on the CDFC website are available at $500 per annum. Harb s Rant, the Team Selection Page, Junior Mascot, Past Player Interviews, CDFC People pages, Weekly game review, photo gallery, Juniors/Underage section, Video Highlights are available to align your business brand and advertising message to. Investment: $500 Inc GST (per annum) Note: Although CDFC is a Football Club, our season does effectively last from Pre-Season (Jan) right through to our Best & Fairest Night (Mid October) effectively a 10 month period. From November to Christmas ongoing news also appears on the website (through retirements, player movements, training information, new product lines and next season fixture announcements plus the forum is always alight with regular banter and rumours in the off-season) From December memberships and new years product lines are then available, so certainly it is our intention to provide CDFC supporters with year round content. 16

17 Weekly Members newsletter Advertising your service or product in a small blurb in our weekly Members Update/ Team Selection is also available at $100 per week. The page will become a listing of businesses involved with CDFC and special offers which only apply to Bulldog Members and Supporters. It may be 10% off all purchases at your store, a buy one get one free item or simply a bonus or complimentary addition to an existing purchase from your business? It all helps get people in the door and drive traffic to your business. Bulldog Supporters will have to have seen the listing/ offer on our website and mention it in-store or on the phone to redeem your offer. Your business can be involved in this scheme for FREE if you are an existing Sponsor (Silver, Gold, Opal, Diamond, Presidents or Premier Partner). All you need to do is provide a special offer for Bulldog Members and Supporters. By being involved with this programme people will know your business has an affiliation with the Club and those that love the Dogs and shop in the local area will also love your business - so it s a win/win! *Participation in this promotion is available for non-corporate partners at $400 inc GST per business The Bulldog Rewards programme is another facet of the new website expected to drive more traffic and eyeballs to the sight overall, increasing the effect of your online advertising. 18

For many decades we have had the most passionate supporter base in the SANFL. Our famous chants of U-DOGS and CEEEENTRAAALS on match days are unrivalled often creating an echo throughout the ground (especially in finals) which can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Off the field our Community is close and with a common link of supporters, members and local business in the area, our Club song line All for one and one for all can also be applied with these groups in-turn getting around each other to build a great football community. At our home on Goodman Rd, Elizabeth we have a 7 Day a week Licensed Club Members Facility with Gaming, Sports Bar, Bistro and Function Facilities. Members receive special discounts and loyalty rewards points for being a part of it. 22
