3 1. ACTIVE CONGU HANDICAP - COMPETITION ELIGIBILTY An active congu handicap is achieved by submitting 3 qualifying cards in the previous calendar year. Ladies must have an active handicap to win a prize in a ladies club competition, including knockouts and winter league. Ladies with a category 6 handicap (36.5 to 54) can enter any ladies trophy competition including knockouts, but there will be a maximum allowance of 36 for most trophy competitions and knockouts. Handicap limit to enter the club championship is 36.4 Ladies can play off their actual handicap (including category 6 golfers) in the following competitions:- Hi Lo, Macmillan, Bring & Win, Captain v Vice Captain, Joy Vase, Leverett Cup, Painters Pot, Early Birds and Eclectics.. 2. COMPETITIONS Competitions may be freetime or a draw is held for markers. EACH COMPETITOR MUST SHOW HER INTENTION TO COMPETE BY REGISTERING AND PAYING THE ENTRY FEE IN THE PRO. SHOP. Following the competition, SCORES MUST BE PUT INTO THE COMPUTER IN THE CLUB HOUSE. The cards, correctly completed, should be posted into the box - including NO RETURNS. Stroke play ties will be decided on Last 9, Last 6, Last 3, Last 1 hole Ladies' Trophy competitions must be marked by a LADY MEMBER Drawn competitions - if a marker/markers are required these can be found at the discretion of the Lady Captain Medals, eclectic and supplementary cards may be marked by a responsible person acceptable to the committee. These are to be marked in twos, threes or fours as by order of the Committee. Qualifying Competitions are identified on the website diary. Ladies with a CONGU UHS handicap of 0-36 may play in Club competitions. Please note that some competitions have playing handicap limits. 2.1 Entry to Ladies' Competitions Sign on the notice board in the ladies' locker room at least one week prior to the competition to be included in the draw. This is not necessary for free time competitions. Register in the Pro-shop on the day of the competition PRIOR TO PLAYING Pay entry fee in the Pro shop prior to playing. Entry fees for knock-outs, winter league and eclectics to be posted in the fees box in the ladies locker room.(see section 17 ) After playing, enter scores into the computer and place your card in box marked cards' This includes NO RETURNS.

4 3. MARKING CARDS You are requested to complete a score card when entering any competition. When completing any competition card it should contain:- 1) The name of the player 2) The date the competition was played 3) The player's handicap 4) The name of the competition 5) The signatures of the player and the marker Medal cards may be marked by a responsible person acceptable to the Committee. ALL CARDS MUST BE RETURNED 4. LADIES MEDALS Please check fixtures diary for the dates. The aim of the Committee is to enable as many members as possible to play in the Medal Competitions. Members may play in any Medal Competition if they have an active, current handicap. Medals may be marked by a responsible person acceptable to the Committee. Medal rounds are marked in twos, threes or fours as by order of the Committee. Register in the Pro- Shop on the day of the competition PRIOR TO PLAYING. Pay entry fee in the Pro-shop prior to playing (see section18). N.B. you may enter without paying an entry fee, however if you win you will not receive a prize voucher. The score for each hole must be recorded and totalled for each of the 18 holes. These are added together - this is the GROSS score. The player's handicap is deducted - this is the NETT score. After playing enter scores into the computer in the Club House and post the card into the box. This includes NO RETURNS. The lady with a handicap of 36.4 or less who returns the best 4 aggregate net scores during the year will be eligible to represent the club in the England golf medal regional final the following year.

5 5. STABLEFORD COMPETITIONS This is a POINTS competition. The player is given a NUMBER OF STROKES, often this is full handicap allowance. e.g. handicap 20 - strokes received 20. The strokes are taken as the player plays. To do this the player will refer to the stroke index of each hole. Once the player has determined her NETT score for each hole the points are as below. Two or more over nett par for the hole : 0 points scored One over nett par for the hole : 1 point scored Nett par for the hole : 2 points scored One under nett par for the hole : 3 points scored Two under nett par for the hole : 4 points scored Three under nett par for the hole : 5 points scored The gross score must be entered into box A, and the number of points scored in the result box. e.g. M.Mouse has a handicap of 25, therefore she receives 25 strokes. That is one stroke per hole except on stroke index 1 to 7 where she will receive two strokes. Example : Hole 1. Par 4 SI 4 - Gross score 6 Strokes allowed 2 = nett 4 = 2 points

6 6. PAR COMPETITIONS This competition is played against the NETT PAR of each hole. It is scored using the following method: The player is given a NUMBER OF STROKES, often this is full handicap allowance. E.g. handicap 15 - strokes received 15. The strokes are taken as the player plays. To do this the player will refer to the stroke index. M.Mouse has a handicap of 25, therefore receives 25 strokes. That is one stroke per hole except on stroke index 1 to 7 where she will receive two strokes. The gross score must be marked in box A and the result in the results box. At the end of play the player totals the number of holes lost and won. The final score will be as follows: 1 If the player has won 5 holes, and lost 5 The final score is recorded as level - all square 2 If the player has won 5 holes, and lost 6 The final score is recorded as 1 down 3 If the player has won 7 holes, and lost 4 The final score is recorded as 3 up Example: Hole 1. Par 4 SI 4 - Gross score 6 Strokes allowed 2 = nett 4 = level par One or more under nett par for the hole is a win : marked + Nett Par for the hole is level : marked 0 One or more over nett par for the hole is a loss : marked -

KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS LADIES SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE AVAILABLE TO PLAY IN ALL ROUNDS BEFORE ENTERING THESE KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS. 9.1 Pearce Plaque : Format : Foursome match play Handicap allowances (1/2 of difference between pairs combined handicaps.) The winners qualify to represent the Club in the Daily Mail Foursomes the following year. If one of the winning pair cannot play in the next round of the competition, the other player may seek the approval of the committee to substitute another player to play with her. No substitution may be made in any subsequent rounds according to the rules fixed by the Daily Mail. 9.2 Haggerty Bowl : Format : Singles match play Handicap allowances (full handicap allowance) 9.3 RULES Ladies should sign on the notice board of their intention to enter. Each competitor must pay an entry fee when signing up for the competition (see section 17.) Ladies should place money in an envelope with their name and competition, noting which competition entered, put in fees box. Draws will be made for the opposition. It is each entrant's responsibility to play these matches within the stipulated time. Ladies should contact their opponents as soon as possible with suggested dates that must include a weekday and a day at the weekend Any circumstances causing delay must be reported to the Lady Captain. In the event of a tie after 18 holes, the first three holes must be played again, after which it becomes sudden death'.

10 10. ECLECTIC COMPETITIONS Summer 1 st April - 30 th September Winter 1 st October - 31 st March These are non- qualifying competitions Entry fee is for 10 cards. Fee is to be placed in envelope stating name and competition entered, prior to taking out first card and put in the fees box. Enter your name in the Eclectic File at top of a page and place that record sheet in the alphabetical index. Enter the number of the eclectic round at top of card e.g. Eclectic 2 Enter the date on which you play in the appropriate space on your sheet in the eclectic file. After rounds record your initial score in column one and any improvements in the columns 2 to 10 Each column must be signed by the marker of your card Return the card to the box marked cards' in the Ladies Changing room after the eclectic score has been entered on score sheet in eclectic file. Eclectic cards may be marked alone or in conjunction with medal competitions and supplementary cards, but may not be marked with any other club competition. Cards may be marked by a responsible person acceptable to the Committee. Results are calculated at 5/8ths of final handicap

11 11. LADIES' CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Format - 36 holes stroke play To be played on the first Sunday in August each year. Lady Club Champion - scoring the best 36 holes gross. Entry by signing entry sheet on notice board - (Max handicap is 36.4) Draw for starting times to be made in strict exact handicap order, at the time that the Start Sheet is published. The highest handicap players to tee off first. Pay entry fee in Pro Shop prior to playing first round (see section 18). Play to be in two or three balls. Tie for Gross Club Champion to be decided on sudden death play off Ties for all other prizes to be decided on count back (last 18/9/6/3/1) then at the discretion of the committee. Handicaps not to be altered in between the two rounds, this is to take place after the completion of the competition. Prizes to be awarded in this order 36 holes gross 36 holes nett 36 holes gross runner up 36 holes nett - runner up 18 hole nett Am 18 hole nett - Pm Any player may win both trophies but only take one prize THE ALTERNATIVE TROPHY Presented by Mrs Joan Lennard and Mrs Avis Griffin For those ladies who cannot manage 36 holes, but would like to be there to support the Ladies Club Champion at the end of the day. Format - 18 holes Qualifying Stableford Competition -- Full Handicap To be played on the first Sunday afternoon in August immediately prior to the Championship second round Enter by signing entry sheet on notice board Entry fee to be paid in Pro Shop prior to playing (see section 17). Draw for play which will be in two or three balls. Prizes to be awarded - Winner and Runner up If play has to be suspended/cancelled for any reason on the day, a subcommittee shall be formed of at least four committee members to decide the most favourable outcome for all concerned. This subcommittee's decision shall be final There will be a MEAL and PRESENTATION following the days' golf.

LADIES' OPENS 12.1 LADIES' OPEN ( June) Enter with a partner, entry forms to be sent to the organiser with payment Competition format is a 18 holes Medal, for the Turnor Cup followed by 16 holes foursomes stableford Forms are available from January each year in the Ladies Opens File, and on SRGC, Lincolnshire ladies, Golf Empire and Open Golf Competitions websites The competition committee are responsible for any decisions due to exceptional circumstances LADIES' AUTUMN OPEN (October) Enter as a team of 4, entry forms to be sent to the organiser with payment Competition format for 2018 is a Am-Am Stableford, team of 4 with 2 scores to count on each hole (9/10 handicap allowance) Forms are available from January each year in the Ladies Opens File, and on SRGC, Lincolnshire ladies, Golf Empire and Open Golf Competitions websites The competition committee are responsible for any decisions due to exceptional circumstances. 13. LADIES' INVITATION Lady members may invite a guest to play in the Ladies Invitation There is no entry fee, but lady members pay for their guest's meal Competition format is a Four Ball Betterball Stableford (9/10 handicap allowance) Fill in the entry form on the notice board and put a cheque for both meals in advance in an envelope in the fees box. State preferred starting time slot on entry form if requested You may indicate your markers on the entry form, or markers will be allocated for you. Starting times will be displayed in the locker room prior to the event.

MIXED COMPETITIONS - STROKE ADJUSTMENT Entries for Mixed Pairs Competitions must enter in pairs; individual entries will not be accepted Mixed Four-Ball, Foursomes or Greensome Competitions Lady competitors receive two additional handicap strokes for the SSS Differential (Gents SSS is 70 and Ladies SSS is 72) which is added to the Ladies Handicap prior to any Allowance calculation being made. The Gents Score Card is used for Par and Stroke Index for all Mixed Four-Ball, Foursomes or Greensome Competitions Individual Stroke Play competitions Where Ladies compete against Gentlemen, Lady Competitors will play to the Ladies Card' and Gentlemen to the Gents Card'. Net Prize winners will be decided by an adjustment to Stroke Allowance as directed by CONGU-UHS (Appendix O). The variance in SSS and Par results in Ladies receiving two additional strokes in medals Individual Match Play Competitions Where Ladies compete against Gentlemen, Lady Competitors receive two additional handicap strokes for the SSS Differential (Gents SSS is 70 and Ladies SSS is 72) which is added to the Ladies Handicap before any Allowance calculation is made. 17 18. S.R.G.C. LADIES SECTION WINTER LEAGUE RULES 1. Entry Fee for Winter League per person to be paid prior to playing the first match (preferably on entry). 2. Format FourBall Betterball Matchplay over 18 holes. 3. Shots to be taken, 9/10 difference, from the lowest handicapped player in the four-ball. 4. Calculated shots to be taken on the relevant holes according to the Ladies Stroke Index. 5. Each pair to play everyone else in the Winter League within the allotted time 1 st October 31 st March 6. Mutually agreed date and time to be arranged within each four-ball. 7. If one member of the team is not able to play and it is impossible to rearrange the match, then the second member should play by herself. 8. Scoring:- Two points for a win, one point for a half, no points for a loss. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE FULL RESULTS OF EACH MATCH ARE RECORDED ON THE LEAGUE TABLE (e.g. 3 & 2, 2 up etc) 9. The winners of the Winter League will be the couple with the most points. The runners up will be the couple with the next highest points. In the event of a tie, in either position, the result will be determined by a countback on the total number of holes won (e.g. 5 & 4, 3 & 2, 1 up = 9) 10. If more than 13 couples enter the competition then a ladder system will operate, with the order drawn, and the relevant rules will be displayed. 11. Any match which has not been played will count as a loss to each pair. 12. If a match is conceded (Rules of Golf 2-4), 2 points will be awarded for the win with no credit given for holes won. 13. If a team has to withdraw for a legitimate reason, ratified by the Lady Captain, then all the games that they have played will be removed from the results. However, if one member of the team is still available, a substitute may be permitted, provided no more than half the matches have been played and that player has not already participated in the Winter League that season. 14. Players are asked to be as flexible as possible if circumstances necessitate a fixture to be re-arranged. 15. Any queries/disputes or discrepancies to be referred to the Lady Captain in writing. 18 LINCOLNSHIRE LADIES COUNTY GOLF ASSOCIATION HANDICAP LEAGUE RULES 2018 (Amended January 2018) 1. Four ball matches only. 2. Eight players in each team, all players must have a competition handicap. 3. All matches to start from the first tee and to be played over 18 holes. Matches to be played to a natural conclusion i.e. 3&2 etc. 4. In each Division teams will play both home and away matches within the year. The home team will offer a minimum of 3 dates for every match to include both weekday and weekend dates. 5. To be played of handicap (maximum 24). Any player over 24 handicap must play off A Captain must play the lowest handicap team available at the time of team selection. The teams must play in handicap order, selected by playing handicap. In the event of several players having the same handicap, exact handicaps are to be used to differentiate players. If two or more players have the same exact handicap, then it is the captain s choice of who plays in the team and which order they play in. 7. Matches to be played off a 90% difference of playing handicap. 8. At the beginning of each season any member belonging to more than one affiliated club may play for either club in the scratch or handicap league, but she must stay with that club for the year in that particular league. 9. Clubs entering two teams: (a) The teams shall be designated A, B, C. On the date of selection, clubs must refer to the current handicap list of players ranked in order of their exact handicap. Subject to (b) below: Players ranked 1-8 can only be considered for the A team. Players ranked 9-16 can only be considered for the A or B team. Players ranked 17 onwards can be considered for any team. (b) A player having played for the A team 3 times, may not play for any other team in the Lincolnshire Ladies Handicap Leagues in the same year. A player having played for the B team 3 times, may not play in the C team in the same year. In the case of a dispute, the County League Secretary may request a Master Handicap list for the relevant date. It is therefore essential that Captains retain a copy of the list showing the exact handicaps of the team played on the relevant day. 10. If for any reasons a team cannot field 8 players, rule 6 must apply. If players are missing or late they must still play in handicap order, moving down the order of play until the missing player arrives. The game in which the player is missing plays last against original opponents, if necessary one player playing two players. However if a missing player arrives after her team member has teed off she can join in the match at the next or subsequent hole. If both players have still not arrived 10mins after the rest of the team have teed off then the game is deemed forfeit and will be entered on the score sheet as a 10/8 loss. This also applies if a player or pair is disqualified. Rule 30-3a applies.

Home Club (the Captain) to be responsible for sending the results, on official result sheets, as soon as possible to: - League Secretary: Mrs Polly Brettle 4 Somerby Green, Somerby, Barnetby, N Lincs, DN38 6TX lincsleaguesec@yahoo.com.this should include the Captains name, address and telephone number and specify whether this is the (A) or (B) team, if the club has two teams. The Result sheets to show venue, date, and name of all the players together with their playing handicaps or exact handicaps in the case of players having the same playing handicaps and the exact result, i.e. 7 and 6, 2 up etc. 12. Points will be awarded for each match as follows: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw. In a conceded match winners will receive 2 points, the loser 0 points. No count back of games or holes from the conceded match. In a conceded game the winners will be awarded the conceded remaining holes. 13. Matches to be played by August 13th In the event of an arranged match being called off prior to play starting the teams should rearrange the date. If after three attempts have failed because of inclement weather or repeated course closure, the two team captains may ask for the match to be halved and one point awarded to each team. This will be at the discretion of the County League Secretary. In the event of a match being halted once started due to inclement weather and the course being closed, teams should attempt to re-arrange as above. 14. The Divisional Winners will be determined by the team with the most points. In the event of a tie on points the winner will be determined in order by:- a) Individual games won b) Holes won c) League Committee 15. The winning club of Division 1 North will play the winning club of Division 1 South on a neutral course for the title Lincolnshire Ladies League champions. A club must field their lowest exact handicap eight players available on the day (subject to Rule 9) In the event of a tie, the first pair of each team will play a sudden death playoff from the first hole to determine the winner. Strokes will be applicable. Clubs must not ask for the courtesy of the course hosting the final. 16. Players must walk at all times during league matches unless permitted to use a golf buggy by the League Secretary. Permission will be given to those players having a current medical condition on the day of the relevant match, who have given prior notification to the League Secretary and the opposing team Captain/Representative. The Association will take each player on trust and will not enquire into the nature of any said medical condition, nor will it require evidence by way of a medical certificate as proof of such a condition. The buggy shall be for the use of the player and her equipment. Hiring of the buggy shall be the sole responsibility of the player. Players are expected to familiarise themselves with the Health and Safety policies of the host club in so far as it relates to ride on buggies. 17. 20 LINCOLNSHIRE LADIES COUNTY GOLF ASSOCIATION SCRATCH LEAGUE RULES (Amended January 2018) 1. At the beginning of each season any member belonging to more than one affiliated club may play for either club in the scratch or handicap league, but she must stay with that club for the year in that particular league. 2. Captains must exchange their completed team sheets on arrival at the club. 3. Three singles matches only.a player up to 5 handicap, 6-10 and handicap. If a team is unable to field a player within these catagories then they may substitute as they wish but must still play off scratch. All matches to start from the first tee. 4. Matches to be played to a natural conclusion i.e. 3&2 etc. 5. Teams will play both home and away matches within the year. If possible, the home teams should offer at least one weekend date to the away team when arranging the matches. 6. Points will be awarded for each match as follows: 2 points for a win, 1point for a draw. In a conceded match winners will receive 2 points, the loser 0 points. No count back of games or holes from the conceded match. In a conceded game the winners will be awarded the conceded remaining holes. 7. This should include the Captain's name, address and telephone number. Results sheets to show venue, date, names of all players together with the results of each match. 9. In order to determine the winner or in the event of a tie: when all matches have been played, the total points won determines the winner. If a tie then a count back on individual matches won. If there is still a tie, count back on holes won. If there is still a tie a play-off on a neutral course will be arranged. 10. Matches to be played by August 10th Permission may be requested for a new date if matches have to be cancelled due to inclement weather. In the event of a match being halted once started teams should rearrange. If this is not possible a halved match will be awarded. 11. The winning club from the North will play the winning club from the South on a neutral course for the title Lincolnshire Ladies Scratch Champions. In the event of a tie the first pair play sudden death to determine the winner. 12. Players must walk at all times during league matches unless permitted to use a golf buggy by the League Secretary. Permission will be given to those players having a current medical condition on the day of the relevant match, who have given prior notification to the League Secretary and the opposing team Captain/Representative. The Association will take each player on trust and will not enquire into the nature of any said medical condition, nor will it require evidence by way of a medical certificate as proof of such a condition. The buggy shall be for the use of the player and her equipment. Hiring of the buggy shall be the sole responsibility of the player. Players are expected to familiarise themselves with the Health and Safety policies of the host club in so far as it relates to ride on buggie 13.
