Our 10 Grand in the Hand draw gives you the chance to share in $15,000 cash every month! Each draw night will have 20 prizes up for grabs with prizes varying from $100 through to the major prize of $10,000! Tickets for the first 10 Grand in the Hand draw can be purchased on Saturday 6th January from 4pm at either club for only $1 for 6 numbers. The draws will kick off at 8pm. Stay at the club on the night of the draw for our new Bonus Draw between 10pm and 11pm. Our Bonus Draw now starts at $1,000 cash and jackpots $1,000 every month until won. 3 ENJOY YOUR CLUBS JANUARY 2018 PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE I hope you are enjoying the festive season and sharing some quality time with family and friends, it is a great time of year. This year saw the completion of many major renovations to the RSL Club, so we hope you are happy with the relaxing and open feel that we have provided across both clubs. We have welcomed over 356,000 visits to our clubs this year and now have over 24,000 members. We take great care in providing you all with a safe and friendly environment for you to catch up with everyone. I must thank the management, all staff, Allan and Ivy (Pearl Chinese), Mat and Lauren (CNL Catering) and Brendan and Bronwyne our managers of the Motel. They all make our clubs the great success that they are today. Recently we celebrated our 70th Birthday with an evening on the bowling greens. They were opened up to fun, food, entertainment and a firework show which was probably the best ever seen in Wagga. The night was a huge success with a great time had by all, it was a real family event. It is evident that members would love this to become a regular event, so stay tuned! On behalf of myself, the board and staff at both clubs we wish you all the best for a safe, happy and healthy BOWLERS SUPPORT WAGGA RURAL REFERRAL HOSPITAL CHILDREN'S WARD On the 13th December, Wagga RSL Men's Bowling Club kindly donated $4,125 to the Wagga Rural Referral Hospital Children's Ward. The generous donation was collected through a number of fundraising efforts including raffles and bbqs over the last 12 months. The ongoing support of the Wagga RSL Men's Bowling Club provides funding to purchase much needed equipment for the Children's Ward. Last year's donation was used to purchase the latest model of digital vital signs machine, with this years money going to the purchase of diagnostic equipment for use in admitting children. Special thanks goes to Lex Plant, O'Briens Wagga Hot Bake, Bunnings, Plumbtec and Southern Plumbling for their assistance in the fundraising efforts. THANKS STAFF On Monday the 4th December it was great to see so many of our staff enjoying each other s company at the Staff Christmas Party. Andrew Bell (CEO) and Peter Thomas (President) were very thankful to all staff for their dedication and commitment to our clubs and the motel. A special congratulations goes to Lu McDonnell and Shel Uphill who shared the special award of Staff Member of the Year! Both ladies are hard-working, dedicated, loyal, well respected and great team leaders in our business and for that we are very thankful. We also wish Di Mller a long term employee to our clubs the very best in her retirement. Di who finishes up this month will be missed by her work mates and many members.
