1 March Newsletter 2018 Phone PRESIDENTS REPORT Summer for 2017/18 is now over and we are now entering the period of the year where you will see many yearly events taking place. During the next few months most of local golf clubs including MGR will be holding their Open events, plus, Pennant is not far away. During the next couple of weeks, the final stage of the Mildura Golf Resort subdivision will commence. Included in this stage is a total of 42 housing lots to be developed. Plans of this stage have been displayed on the notice boards in the Clubhouse. The housing lots vary in size between 645 and 301 sq/m. Details should be available in the very near future for anybody interested in buying an allotment. Also, in the next couple of months work will commence on the construction of the new 18 th hole, a detailed map has been placed on the noticeboards for you to view. Work will also commence on the construction of a roadway behind the 1 st tee to service the new work sheds and carpark for the eventual construction of sheds for motorised golf carts. Finally, Easter is only a few weeks away and I hope you all enjoy the break and, we look forward to seeing you all on the golf course. HANDICAPPERS REPORT Those who don t know who I am I wish to make myself known to you and wish to invite you to contact me if you have any issues relating to your handicap. I am Bev Stone your club handicap manager. My address is kevsbev@bigpond.com My phone number is Just remember I am human (some may query it) and do make mistakes. If you have an issue with your handicap or do not quite follow how it works please do not hesitate to contact me and I will try to resolve your issue. SUMMER MEMBERSHIP Just a reminder to all summer members that your summer membership expires on the 31 st March 2018 and your GA Handicap will become invalid on the 1 st.april and you will have no further golfing rights at the club. If you wish to upgrade to a full membership you can do so now and will receive 3 months free (April May & June) There are other memberships available you may wish to look at. Contact the office staff who will be able to discuss this with you. GOLFING MEMBERS WHO WISH TO GET A GA HANDICAP Welcome to all new golfing members, especially the Williams family who have joined under our new family membership. To gain a GA Handicap you must PLAY & RETURN 3 (Three) 18 hole cards or 6 (six) 9 hole cards (3 Front nine)& (3 Back 9). These cards must have players names and dates on them and be signed by player and marker who should be another golfing member. BALL CREDITS AT PRO SHOP Please note:- Balls held at Pro Shop which are not collected by 31 st March will be converted to house credits on April 1 st. 4BBB EVENT On 28 th February Micro Power created a programme for processing 4BB cards The computer will pair you from the position you are on the time sheet. Player 1 will partner Player 2 and player 3 will partner Player 4. Remember when you put your names on timesheet that you are with the partner you prefer. Please note when marking a four ball card that the scores are correctly recorded for each player. Col Harrison.
