2 Since 2014 the Folds of Honor Foundation has partnered with Hole-in-One U.S.A. to be their preferred provider for Patriot Golf Day Tournaments nationwide. We ve developed this catalog to help provide you with more options to make your event even more exciting this year through adding hole-in-one contests, our bag tag promotion or a special format of play. Hole-in-One U.S.A. will donate a portion of every hole-in-one contract fee for all Patriot Golf Day tournaments to the Folds of Honor. As part of the event package, all secondary prizes will be in the form of a donation back to the Folds of Honor and courses will receive customized sponsor signs for their tournaments. In addition to providing the hole-in-one insurance, we also offer a Commemorative Patriot Golf Day Bag Tag Promotion to benefit Folds of Honor. These unique bag tags will honor the five military branches and serve as a reminder of the sacrifices that our military men and women make everyday. Through this promotion, Holein-One U.S.A. will be donating a $5,000 Hole-in-One Contest for every golfer who purchases a bag tag at your facility. 5 MAKE ANY DAY PATRIOT GOLF DAY AT YOUR CLUB BY SIGNING UP FOR THE COMMEMORATIVE BAG TAG PROMOTION. Instead of just taking donations in the golf shop for Patriot Golf Day, you will have a member of your staff or a volunteer out at a par three hole accepting donations. Any golfer that donates $25 or more to the Folds of Honor will receive a Commemorative Patriot Golf Day Bag Tag and also have the opportunity to participate in a Hole-in-One Contest to win $5,000. Hole-in-One U.S.A. will donate the cost of the Hole-in-One Contest to any club that signs up with a minimum order of 50 bag tags. You are responsible for the initial investment of the bag tags, but you will make that money back through the donations that you accept. 6 MAKING THEIR ROUND MEANINGFUL The following are a few ideas for the format of your tournament play. Having a format that provides a meaningful connection to the Mission of the Folds of Honor will give your tournament participants a deeper sense of the role they play and the importance of their round. Make this the most patriotic round of golf they ve ever played. THE WINGMAN SHAMBLE : Each team will consist of four golfers. Each golfer will hit their tee shot, the team selects the best shot and all players will hit from there. Each golfer will then play their own ball for the rest of the hole. The team will count the two lowest scores. THE WINGMAN S SHOT : Each hole will have an American Flag to designate the best shot for that hole. The first group will place the flag in the ground at the location of the best shot for their team. If the next group s best shot isn t better than where the flag is, they will use the WINGMAN S SHOT" and play from where the American Flag is. If the group's best shot is better, they will move the American Flag to that better location. The final group to play each hole will be playing from the best location since the best shot has been improved throughout the entire round. THE DEEPER MEANING : Our lives today are better off because of brave Americans that have come before us. What we do in our lives will help to improve the lives of those that come after us as well. Everyone today helped to improve each others round and benefitted from others helping them. We were all a large team. This is true on the golf course and in our daily lives. We all have a role in improving America for our future generations, just remember to take it one stroke at a time. HONOR THEIR SACRIFICE SCRAMBLE: Each team will consist of four golfers. Each golfer will hit their tee shot, the team will select the best shot and play the next shot from there. Each golfer will be allow to play the next shot except for the golfer whose shot was chosen. The team will then choose the best shot and that golfer will not be allowed to hit, but the first golfer will be able to again so that three golfers are hitting each of the remaining shots for the hole. The team will continue this format until the ball is holed. All four golfer will tee off on the next hole, then follow this same format for that entire hole. THE SACRIFICE : The team will have to complete the next shot on each hole without the help of the golfer who just hit the best shot for the team. This will symbolize the families that have to continue their paths in life without an important member of their team. While the golfers on the course are only gone for one shot, these husbands, wives, children and parents are gone forever. THE WINGMAN SCRAMBLE : Each team will consist of three golfers. Each golfer will hit their tee shot, the team selects the best shot and all players will hit from there. This format will continue until the ball is holed. THE WINGMAN : Each team will also have one WINGMAN. The WINGMAN will be a fallen solder and each team will receive a short biography of the soldier including their rank, date of death and family left behind. Golfers will rotate hitting shots for their team in honor of the WINGMAN so that each group will consist of four total members: Three Golfers and One WINGMAN 9 10
