What this means for me is continuing to excel academically, improving my consistency and play on the golf course, as well as growing my social network at UBC. As for after University, I plan to play professional golf once I have finished my Kinesiology degree. However, as my interests changed, and I began to develop a passion for teaching, I realized that I would need to be very diligent about earning enough money to pay for the additional two years of teacher's college, and I had little time to do so. With this Golf Canada Scholarship, more specifically, the Robert Salsberg Scholarship, the stress and concern of earning enough money to pay for school has been greatly alleviated, and I can focus my time and effort on my studies, teaching practicum, and golf game. I am looking forward to taking the next step in my pursuit of a career as a teacher and having the opportunity to represent the Lancers on the golf team at the same time.
