LA TESTE - 22nd June Trainer of the day : Christophe Ferland (101, 305, 303, 507, 608) Jockey of the day : Christophe Soumillon (203, 306, 508, 704) Horse of the day : Cox Bazar (101) Dark Horse : Hilarant (603) Race 1 1. COX BAZAR - Progressive sort. Rewarded for consistency last time and can follow up, despite a resultant penalty - hard to oppose 2. CRACKER'STAR - Appears to have lost his way recently. Reverts to sprinting again but makes little appeal 3. EL SUIZO - Is better than recent efforts suggest. Capable of earning on earlier form this year 4. SEA TRIAL - Veteran gelding who has disappointed of late. Is better than recent effort suggests - place chance 5. LUNA LADY - Poor recent form over further inspires little confidence. chances, though better is expected reverting to a sprint

(1) COX BAZAR is a standout on form and can get favourite backers off to a winning start. Still on the up and a winner last time out, a resultant penalty may not be enough to prevent him from going in again and he should take a power of beating. The battle for 2nd is likely to be a closely fought affair between (3) EL SUIZO and (5) LUNA LADY. The remainder make little appeal. (1) COX BAZAR - (3) EL SUIZO - (5) LUNA LADY - (4) SEA TRIAL

Race 2 1. BHARUCH - Outclassed in a Listed race in Bordeaux last time but had solid form prior to that. Can have a say dropping in class 2. JUNGLEBOOGIE - Prolific seven-time winner from 15 starts. Runaway scorer at Nantes recently, should go well again 3. FEDERICO - Needed his comeback then bounced back to form last time. Nearing full fitness and enjoys the extra - go close 4. SPAGNOLO - Poor recent form is probably reflective of his chances. Others preferred 5. SEA DREAM - Two starts back this year after a long layoff inspire little confidence. Needs to show more to warrant inclusion 6. JARDIN FLEURI - Seldom runs a bad race, though her best recent efforts have come against weaker opposition. Place chance (2) JUNGLEBOOGIE and (3) FEDERICO could dominate the outcome of this contest. The former completed a hat-trick last time, when scoring impressively at Nantes, and should stake a serious once more. He will be severely tested, though, by the latter who is quickly nearing both form and fitness. (1) BHARUCH makes most appeal of the remainder and could have a say dropping in class. (2) JUNGLEBOOGIE - (3) FEDERICO - (1) BHARUCH - (6) JARDIN FLEURI

Race 3 1. RACING BAY - Won 3 of 4 starts this year and completed the hat-trick at Lyon-Parilly last time. Unlikely winner given resultant penaltiy 2. MY SWEET LORD - Dual winner at this level. Does appear a tad high in the ratings, but make most appeal of these on current form 3. ALENCON - Is better than recent efforts suggest. Has won in this grade and is capable of earning on best form 4. SOLMINA - Last-start winner whose recent efforts in similar contests inspire little confidence. Is capable of better 5. FUNNY KID - Back on track and a competitive mark after issues earlier in his career. Should not be long in winning - include 6. IMPRIMEUR - Runner-up in a similar contest over 2100m at Strasbourg last time. Yet to win at this level but could be factor again 7. SENOR CHARLY - Prolific 10-time winner from 21 starts. Disappointing in last 2 outings, including once at this level - place chance 8. MIXER SWING - Lightly raced veteran. Capable on his day, but could struggle in this grade - more needed 9. BAMBA - Won 3 of 5 starts this year, which includes a last-start success over this trip at Nantes. Up in class, a repeat is unlikely - outsider 10. SHEHAB - Ultra-consistent this term, winning twice. Has risen in the ratings as a result which makes his task a difficult one 11. MAIZE AND BLUE - Consistent sort who was not disgraced in only start at this level at Saint-Cloud in April. Has unfortunately drawn wide - place chance 12. PRINCE ADMIRAL - Finished close-up in both starts at this level. Holding form and should give a good account once more - include 13. VOLCANCITO - Won his first start this year but has failed to reproduce that form in 3 subsequent outings. Others preferred 14. LOANNE - Boasts two 3rds in four starts in Quinte+ events. Proven over this trip, she should be in the mix again 15. ESPRIT DE BAILEYS - Appeared in need of his comeback outing at Dax towards the end of May. Could be short an outing - watch for now 16. QUEEN FOSOOL - Difficult to assess. Has run well in this class but recent efforts inspire little confidence - outside chance

Typically wide open Quinte+ affair from which (2) MY SWEET LORD can emerge victorious. A winner in this grade 2 starts back and close-up in a similar contest last time, he should go well again. Both (6) IMPRIMEUR and (12) PRINCE ADMIRAL can make their presence felt too, if building on solid recent efforts at this level last time. That said, (5) FUNNY KID and (14) LOANNE are others with claims in a competitive event. (2) MY SWEET LORD - (6) IMPRIMEUR - (12) PRINCE ADMIRAL - (5) FUNNY KID - (14) LOANNE - (4) SOLMINA - (15) ESPRIT DE BAILEYS - (3) ALENCON

Race 4 1. FUENTEESTEIS - Course-and-distance winner who continues to run well. Holding form - Eachway chance 2. ELEGANTE BERE - Would only have improved from her comeback run. Has ability and scope - respect 3. NIEDZIELA - Not disgraced in 2 Listed races recently, though does need to show more to warrant inclusion. Place chance 4. MAYTIME - Finished in midfield in a similar contest last time. Consistent type, not without a chance 5. HONEYMOON TRIP - Progressive Myboycharlie filly raiding from Spain. Has has won both starts over 1600m - don't discount 6. SPANISH FLY - Proven Stakes performer up to 1400m. Has the class to be competitive, though the trip remains an unknown 7. GOLDEN STATE - Last-start winner of a significantly weaker contest at Redcar. Has scope but would need to improve to feature 8. DENITZA - Winner over this trip at Bordeaux in April. Still lightly raced, though would need to improve to have a say 9. GARANCE - Yet to finish out of the first 2 in 3 starts, winning twice. Obviously above average but has more to do now 10. DALLAS AFFAIR - Progressive, last-start winner who handled herself with distinction in a Quinte+ event. More to come - go close 11. WESTIT - Has struggled when thrown into the deep end of Stakes races. Needs more to warrant consideration Good race. (10) DALLAS AFFAIR took out a Quinte+ event with aplomb when on handicap debut last time. She continues to improve and should go well once more. (9) GARANCE had subsequent Sandringham winner La Sardane behind last time, so should pose a significant threat in challenging for top honours. (6) SPANISH FLY boasts solid form but must prove as effective over the extra to have a say. (10) DALLAS AFFAIR - (9) GARANCE - (6) SPANISH FLY - (2) ELEGANTE BERE

Race 5 1. LOTUS CAFE - Improving with every start and has shown enough to be competitive. Leading player 2. FAST BUCK - Consistent type who is rarely beaten far. Extra could suit - place chance 3. YONA - Has shown little in either start over similar trips. Would need to improve to earn 4. VIEWBANK - Soundly beaten on debut over 2100m. Best watched for now - others preferred 5. SEVERO - Not beaten on debut over 1800m at Salon-de-Provence and can only improve from that outing. Place chance 6. MISS MELBOURNE - Improved on her debut effort to finish a close-up 3rd next time out. More to come - will be competitive 7. AKABA - Improved on her debut outing to take 3rd over 2300m at Tarbes last time. Still improving - Eachway chance 8. SEA THE FUTURE - Closely matched on recent form with Akaba. Engaging of Soumillon, however, bodes well for her chances The fairer sex may be worth siding with in this small yet competitive line-up. Little separated (8) SEA THE FUTURE and (7) AKABA in a similar contest at Tarbes last time. The latter edged that duel, though the engaging of Soumillon aboard the former could well see the tables turned this time around. (1) LOTUS CAFE has shown enough to suggest that he will be competitive. (8) SEA THE FUTURE - (7) AKABA - (1) LOTUS CAFE - (6) MISS MELBOURNE

Race 6 1. BAILEYS ECLAT - Refused to jump last time but has solid form at this level. Leading player if getting away on terms 2. PERFECT SCRIPT - Caught the eye over shorter last time and the extra 300m should be to her liking. Do not discount 3. HILARANT - Disappointed in this grade last time. Continues to drop in the ratings, though, and faces weaker - respect 4. MILLIONDOLLARBABY - Well beaten on his French bow at Lyon-Parilly earlier this month. Could show more dropped in class 5. BEST PLACE - Has shown little in each of her 3 outings to date. Must improve, could do so taking on weaker - outsider 6. MONSIEURBRUN - Moderate individual whose current form makes little appeal. Others preferred 7. MC ENROE - Is better than recent effort suggests. Capable of earning on best form over this shorter trip 8. SUGAR BAY - Outclassed in Quinte+ events this year but had solid form in Debut in this grade - can capitalise 9. TARFA - Moderate individual whose current form makes little appeal. Others preferred 10. WHAT ABOUT MONDAY - Dual winner in this grade. Made little impression in a handicap last time but should fare better in this grade 11. ALIVSKAIA - Poor recent form is probably reflective of her chances. Unlikeliest winner (8) SUGAR BAY displayed enough ability during 2016 to land the spoils in this contest. She may have been outclassed in 2 starts this year but those were in Quinte+ events and she should prove a totally different proposition in this grade. If in the mood, (1) BAILEYS ECLAT could pose a threat. (2) PERFECT SCRIPT caught the eye last time and could make her presence felt too, with the extra likely to suit. (10) WHAT ABOUT MONDAY, (3) HILARANT and (7) MC ENROE could run into the money. (8) SUGAR BAY - (1) BAILEYS ECLAT - (2) PERFECT SCRIPT - (10) WHAT ABOUT MONDAY

Race 7 1. TRUFFLE BLACK - Last-start winner of a handicap over this trip. Winning chance in this grade, despite resultant penalty 2. MI VIDA - Disappointed last time but is better than that run suggests. Not without a chance 3. SEPT EXTRA - Five-time winning veteran, continues to hold form off current mark. Proven in this grade - place chance 4. CIRIACO - Ultra-consistent, last-start winner. Form choice in this line-up and rates the one to beat 5. LONGRAY - Outclassed in a Quinte+ event at Chantilly last time. Won his penultimate start off a higher mark - consider 6. MESIMA - Runner-up in her last 3 outings. She could go one better dropping in class - for the shortlist 7. ELUSIVE VENICE - Moderate recent form probably says all one needs to know regarding her chances. Unlikely winner Tricky little race from which ultra-consistent (5) LONGRAY can emerge victorious. This veteran performer continues to run well and should give another good account of himself. However, he faces stiff competition from last-start winner (1) TRUFFLE BLACK and the luckless (6) MESIMA, who has finished second in her last 3 outings. (5) LONGRAY makes most appeal of the remainder. (4) CIRIACO - (1) TRUFFLE BLACK - (6) MESIMA - (5) LONGRAY

Race 8 1. NOTAIRE - Winner of a similar contest at Maisons-Laffitte last time and could follow up, despite resultant penalty 2. CAPTAIN HADDOCK - Disappointed last time but is better than that run suggests. Not without a chance 3. JADALA - Erratic individual. Capable of running into the money, though last start at Saint-Cloud is uninspiring 4. BALFOUR - Stays well and is in good form. More to do in this line-up, but has Eachway claims 5. MARCOLOB - Much improved last start, albeit in weaker company. Could earn if building on that improvement 6. VEMIX - Steadily dropping in the ratings and, as such, a return to form could be imminent. Place chance 7. TAGOUNITE - Lightly raced mare, who won a lesser contest at Limoges last time. More needed here but has scope to improve 8. TRITALYS - Showed signs of a return to form last time. Needs to confirm to have a say 9. BUBBLE SEA - Stays well and is in good form. Can make presence felt if reproducing recent efforts 10. GOT RUN - Consistent, in-form veteran. Course-and-distance suited, should run well again 11. AND BAROKE - Seldom beaten far and has run well over the track and trip. Not to be dismissed under bottomweight (1) NOTAIRE stayed on in determined fashion to land the spoils in a similar contest last time and a resultant penalty may not be enough to prevent him from going in again. The veteran duo of (9) BUBBLE SEA and (10) GOT RUN should be competitive if reproducing recent efforts, and can pose a threat. However, the same could be said of (5) MARCOLOB, who improved last time. (7) TAGOUNITE is not without a chance either. (1) NOTAIRE - (9) BUBBLE SEA - (10) GOT RUN - (5) MARCOLOB

CHARTRES - 22nd June Trainer of the day : Jean-Paul Marmion (209, 202, 505) Driver of the day : Franck Ouvrie (309, 512, 812, 902) Horse of the day : Do It Cherie (607) Dark Horse : Cybèle Jheq (112) Race 1 1. CARPE DIEM OUESTRE - Less room for manœuvre now and is not a priority. Always unshod on all four 2. COQUINE DE FEROL - Has really a patchy form and is only unshod in front here. Not going to be easy 3. CAMILLE PHIL - Her last win was under the saddle but needs to find her best form in harness events 4. CHARMING LADY - Lacklustre last four attempts and needs to raise her game. Only unshod behind again 5. CORSAIRE DES PRES - Has not won since July 2015 but has been placed 3/6 on the podium unshod on all four. Proven with his apprentice 6. COCKTAIL ELEVEN - Not a model of consistency and acts better on righthanded tracks. Still unproven with his apprentice 7. CAROLINE DE FIRFOL - Unshod on all four here but not sure will be enough because has no room for manoeuvre 8. CHIPIE D'ABBEMONT - Made zero impact for a long time and needs to raise her game. CALIU DES BOSC - Reassuring fifth latest at Lisieux after two disqualifications in a row. Has the required ability 11. CRACK MAGIC - Right-handed tracks specialist who is of since April 30 and remains shod. Could quietly race 12. CYBELE JHEQ - Has really a patchy form but has not been unshod on all four since last February. Beware of her 13. CARABIN D'URZY - Has not stopped improving since is unshod on all four but is really better on right-handed tracks 14. CAPAC - One of the bests on class alone and has probably been prepared

for this event where is unshod on all four 15. COLOMBO VICI - Needs to prove himself over course and distance (sixth and disqualified) but is unshod behind here (14) CAPAC shaped-up nicely at Le Neubourg three weeks ago with this race in sight. All shoes come off this time round and he gets the vote ahead of (12) CYBELE JHEQ who showed improvement in her last start. She is barefoot today and this could add that little extra to score. (15) COLOMBO VICI has strong credentials and must be included in calculations. (14) CAPAC - (12) CYBELE JHEQ - (15) COLOMBO VICI - (5) CORSAIRE DES PRES - (13) CARABIN D'URZY

Race 2 1. CANCANNIER - Has clearly won the least prize-money and is outclassed here. Tricky read 2. CORSICO BELLO - Promising runner-up on his ridden debut on grass. Should continue improving in this new discipline 3. CHEMIN DU JACKY - Unproven under the saddle in one start and is in doubtful form. Not going to be easy 4. COW BOY DES OBEAUX - Has just got back in winning ways on grass and can step up in class with success 5. CELLO ALTO - Taking time to find his best form after a lengthy break and needs to reassure in priority. Again barefoot 6. CYBELE FUN - 2/2 failures after eleven months off and needs to find her best form. Tough task 7. CIMOKO D'ANKAR - Disqualified twice recently and is very complicated to use. Worth a race like this if does not gallop 8. CARABI DU JACKY - Back under the saddle where has already scored after five race at harness. Could be more competitive unshod behind 9. CALICIO BELLO - Will be suited by extended trip and has to be highly shortlisted on his ridden comeback 10. CESAR LERWEN - Unconvincing recently at Caen but was quite reliable before. Ridden debut with an inexperienced apprentice up 11. CERES FLIGNY - Not a model of consistency but has scored two of her last five races. Disqualified on her sole ridden start 12. CAMANA - Honourable sixth on her ridden debut on provincial grass track. Her best titles are unshod on all four Trainer Jean-Paul Marion has a strong hand in this race with both (9) CALICIO BELLO who should be suited by the slight drop in distance and (2) CORSICO BELLO who displayed a sound effort when runner-up on turf on his first start under the saddle. (7) CIMOKO D'ANKAR does not make much appeal on paper but can definitely make the frame if in the mood. (9) CALICIO BELLO - (2) CORSICO BELLO - (7) CIMOKO D'ANKAR - (4)

COW BOY DES OBEAUX

Race 3 1. ERFOUD VALIERE - Disqualified recently on grass after an easy win in the little provinces. Needs to prove himself on sand tracks 2. ESPOIR BENOIT - Only 1/9 on the podium since his debut and looks held by few rivals on class alone 3. EDWARD PRINCE - Has just got off the mark on grass after having lead the field. Steps up in class here 4. ECU DE LEAU - Improving nicely every run and is close to get off the mark. Eric Raffin has been retained 5. ESTON DU QUENNE - Always placed in the first five since his debut including a win on grass but often starts slowly 7. ENSKA - Scored her sole race on a left-handed track and this really well-bred filly can be in the shakeup 8. ELIOT DU LOUVET - Stylish winner on penultimate start at Graignes but finshed down the field since at Laval after making a break at the start 9. ETERNELLE BEAUTE - Runner-up in her first two races and is very close to get off the mark. Franck Ouvrie has been booked for the first time 10. EDEN DU HEURT - Has just got off the mark on grass after having lead the field but needs to prove himself on left-handed tracks 11. ELIUM DE L'INAM - Has already run against decent colts but was disqualified on his sole run at this track 12. EXTRA DU RENOUARD - In doubtful form and is unproven on left-handed tracks. Difficult to recommend 13. EGO DE VANDEL - Now trained by Marc de Cock after Vincent Martens. Off since March 4 and could need the race but has already shown some abilities 14. ESPOIR D'IDEE - Irreproachable in his first two races but is debuting on sand tracks stepping up in grade Runner-up on both career starts thus far (9) ETERNELLE BEAUTE is likely to go off the mark rather sooner than later and today could be the day. A sound winner when off the mark on turf at Thouars, (14) ESPOIR D'IDEE is now set to take on better horses and is worth a good look in. (4) ECU DE LEAU was much improved in his last run and can feature if capable of building on this effort.

(9) ETERNELLE BEAUTE - (14) ESPOIR D'IDEE - (4) ECU DE LEAU - (8) ELIOT DU LOUVET

Race 4 1. VENT GLACIAL - Has clearly won the least prize-money. Showed a glimmer of form latest over Nantes 3000m (1'15''5) being fourth 2. UNDER THE SUN - 3/3 failures this year after six months off and is back under the saddle where has often gait problems 4. UNIAXE EREM - More reliable since is trained by Fransisco Criado and is often in thereabouts under the saddle. Unshod in front here 6. BIJOU PETTEVINIERE - Back in his favourite discipline after a harness disqualification. Really better without his shoes 7. BANCO DE L'ITON - In his category and is alos competitive remaining shod. New apprentice up 8. VESUVE D'ENFER - Runner-up, fourth, sixth and disqualified in ridden events. Always unshod on all four but new apprentice up 9. AUBADE CARISAIE - On the rise after a short dry period and is back under the saddle with some logical pretensions. Really better without her shoes 10. AZALEE DE BOMO - Made zero impact for a long time and needs to show improvement. Unshod in front here but not sure will be enough (9) AUBADE CARISAIE has shown good recent form in harness races and looks a sound winning prospect on switchback to ridden racing. She will lead the charge ahead of (6) BIJOU PETTEVINIERE who is expected to make amends after his last two below-par efforts. (7) BANCO DE L'ITON is very competitive in this class of event and should not be too far off at the finish. (9) AUBADE CARISAIE - (6) BIJOU PETTEVINIERE - (7) BANCO DE L'ITON - (5) UNIAXE EREM

Race 5 1. D'ELLE DE MARIONS - Has won the least prize-money. Unpredictable filly who trotted 1'15''8 last time out over Le Croise-Laroche 2700m 2. D'ACTUALITE - Right-handed tracks specialist who is unshod behind for the first time on her left-handed debut 7. DAME D'ELISE - No room for manœuvre now and her best titles are on righthanded tracks. Not a priority 8. DUNE DE LA LUNE - Model of consistency who has just got off the mark on her reappearance run after seven months off. Should go close 9. DOUCEUR DIVINE - Disqualified twice recently but was very reliable before. Can redeem herself without her shoes 10. DIVA ERMITAGE - Bounced back to form latest on grass being third but is held by some rivals on sand tracks 11. DEVERINA D'ECHAL - Lacklustre last three attempts but was reliable before. Scored her sole run with her trainer in the bike 12. DIANE DE CORBERY - Brave filly who is still a maiden in thirteen outings. Totally barefoot here and Franck Ouvrie is back in the bike (5) DIXIE BOND has shown ability in three starts last year and is well-spoken on return to action. She should prove hard to beat if anywhere near her peak form. (8) DUNE DE LA LUNE went off the mark on seasonal debut and is likely to come on for the race so needs to be on the shortlist. If she can keep in stride all way round (9) DOUCEUR DIVINE is another who can make the frame. (5) DIXIE BOND - (8) DUNE DE LA LUNE - (9) DOUCEUR DIVINE - (12) DIANE

DE CORBERY

Race 6 1. DIVA PERRINE - Bounced back to form latest on grass being third against sole fillies. Higher opposition here 2. The one to beat 8. DOLITA - In ascending form after a four months break and is again unshod on all four. Has to be considered 9. DIVINE DU FOSSE - Lacklustre last two races and needs to reassure. Again unshod on all four 10. DOUBLETTA - Brave filly who was very disappointing five days ago at Enghien. Moves down in class here 11. DIVA DE POULINE - Scored her last two races on grass including on penultimate start beating Dolita. Unshod on all four for the first time 12. DIVA DE NGANDA - Lacklustre last four attempts and is really more competitive without her shoes. More of a secondary chance Swedish raider (7) DO IT CHERIE has won both starts on french soil thus far and is can make it three in a row. She clocked a sound chrono at Argentan while never under any pressure so she must have plenty more to offer. A winner of her last two starts on turf (11) DIVA DE POULINE switches to sand with big expectations and looks the main threat to the selection. (7) DO IT CHERIE - (11) DIVA DE POULINE - (10) DOUBLETTA - (8) DOLITA

Race 7 1. DEFI DE LA BASLE - Has just got off the mark with style on grass but needs to prove himself at this higher grade 2. Could be better only unshod behind and Jean-Philippe Monclin has been retained 7. DU GITE - Disqualified twice recently but ran well on March 5 over course and distance (runner-up in 1'20''8). Unproven with his driver 8. DOMAINE DE L'IF - Lightly raced (six runs) but has always been placed on the podium when does not gallop 9. DURATON DU SAPTEL - Has just got back in the winner's circle after inquiry latest over Amiens 2400m (1'16''3) when was unshod on all four for the first time 10. DENVER DELO - Runner-up, nineth and disqualified since is unshod on all four. Has only trotted 1'21''4 over course and distance 11. DEUX EN UN - Has alreadu shown enough abilities to score a race like this. Can front run and go far with his usual driver 12. DARJEELING TEA - Stylish winner twice without his shoes but remains shod on his sand comeback 14. DANDY CHERI - Now trained by Franck Leblanc after Anders Lindqvist. Totally barefoot for the first time and improvement is expected (14) DANDY CHERI is not only running barefoot for the first time he is also having his first run for his new yard and therefore he should gather an awfull lot of interest. (11) DEUX EN UN finished fifth in what looks a better race at La Capelle and should go closer this time round. (9) DURATON DU SAPTEL made

a good impression when scoring at Amiens. He was running barefoot for the first time on this occasion and the same feature is used today. (14) DANDY CHERI - (11) DEUX EN UN - (9) DURATON DU SAPTEL - (8) DOMAINE DE L'IF

Race 8 1. BIG SMILE - Not placed on the podium since last November when scored at Graignes and needs to raise his current game 2. BALADE MAJYC - Showed a glimmer of form latest on grass being fourth behind Bambino des Flots. Again barefoot 3. BLANCHE NEIGE VRIE - Now trained by Louis Baudron after his grandfather Roger. Disqualified thrice this year and needs to reassure in priority 4. BABOUCHKA CEHERE - Complicated to use and looks more competitive without her shoes now. Driven by her trainer here 5. BAHIA DU FOSSE - Showed a glimmer of form latest on grass in decent field. Unshod behind on her sand comeback 6. BERCEUSE WINNING - Not a model of consistency and is now trained by Pierre Desaunette. Remains shod here 7. BACILLY - Back in harness events after four ridden starts. Remains shod and is driven by his trainer 8. BRABANT DE BULIERE - Perfectly placed on the first line-up but acts better on grass. Not going to be easy against a such opposition 9. BOUQUET DE LARRE - Badly entered on the second row. Off since last October, remains shod and driven by his trainer. Only watch 10. BOUTE EN TRAIN - Has just got back in the winner's circle with style on grass when was unshod in front. Remains shod here 11. BAMBINO DES FLOTS - At his best right now, acts better unshod on all four and is proven with Jean-Philippe Monclin. A solid choice 12. BIKINI - Reassuring runner-up latest over Vincennes 2850m (1'15'') but has only been sixth and disqualified at this track 13. BLUE LABEL - Ran better than placings suggest four days ago on grass. Totally barefoot and has already scored over course and distance in 1'15''9 14. BOLIDE DE L'OISON - Taking time to find his best form after a five months break and remains shod here. Driven by his trainer for the first time 15. BOLERO D'HOULBEC - 2/2 failures after five months off and is again shod. Best to watch being driven by his trainer 16. BETTY CASTELETS - Brave mare who is always in the shakeup but seldom wins. Needs imperatively to be held up. Only unshod behind here

Three of these horses look above the rest of the field and among them (11) BAMBINO DES FLOTS is the one who makes most appeal. He has been firing on all cylinders since April and barefoot again today he should be at the premises. (12) BIKINI went well at Vincennes last time and has a first rate chance on the back of this effort. The other good chance in the race is (13) BLUE LABEL whose last run is too bad to be true. (11) BAMBINO DES FLOTS - (12) BIKINI - (13) BLUE LABEL - (16) BETTY CASTELETS - (10) BOUTE EN TRAIN

Race 9 1. AUXANNE - No room for manœuvre now and is driven by her trainer. Not going to be easy 2. AVENIR DE L'ITON - Decent fourth latest on grass being fourth just behind Vent du Scion. Again unshod behind 3. VALMIN DE GUEUDE - Fifth twice recently but looks more competitive on right-handed tracks. Unshod on all four as always 4. AMBIANCE DU TRIO - Lacklustre last three attempts and needs to prove herself over course. Experienced with her driver 5. VINCI LE FOL - Showed a glimmer of form lately on grass being fourth behind Avenir de l'iton. Steps up in class here 6. VAGUE BLEUE - Brave mare who needs imperatively to be held up and has little room for manœuvre. However is driven by Eric Raffin 7. ARTISTE DU CANTER - Bounced back to form last time out being runner-up on provincial grass track but steps up in grade here 8. ASTON DU POMMEREUX - Brave horse who currently always gives his best and deserves to get back in winning ways. Totally barefoot here 9. VENT DU SCION - Perfectly placed on the first line-up and has just set the record straight on grass being third just ahead of Avenir de l'iton 10. ANGEL DARK - Badly entered on the second row. In doubtful form and needs to raise his game. Difficult to recommend 11. UDAKO - Made zero impact for a long time and can be neglected without risks. Best to watch 12. VANILLETTE - Far to her best form and needs to reassure in priority. 3/4 on the podium over course and distance including two victories 13. LET'S DANCE D.E. - Has just got back in the winner's circle on grass and has not stopped improving since is unshod on all four 14. TENOR D'YLEA - Brave horse who has little room for manœuvre now at this grade. Needs imperatively to be held up 15. TEMPETE ETERNELLE - Ridden specialist who needs to prove herself in harness events. Unshod on all four as usual 16. APPLE ROAD - Unstoppable since last summer and is unshod on all four for the first time of her career. First-rate chance

Winner of four races from five starts this term (16) APPLE ROAD is running unshod on all four for the first time of her career today and could prove hard to get passed. Nonetheless it may be worth keeping a close eye on (13) LET'S DANCE D.E. who has shown significant progress since racing barefoot. (8) ASTON DU POMMEREUX and (9) VENT DU SCION need to up their game to win this race. (16) APPLE ROAD - (13) LET'S DANCE D.E. - (8) ASTON DU POMMEREUX - (9) VENT DU SCION - (2) AVENIR DE L'ITON

CAEN - 22nd June Trainer of the day : Dominique Mottier (111, 505, 808, 906) Jockey of the day : David Thomain (106, 206, 317, 809, 909) Horse of the day : Effigie Madrik (616) Dark Horse : Dream Zaeri (116) Race 1 1. DERBY DE CHOISEL - Has not once finished closer than fourth in eight appearances and will simply have too much to do 2. DAKOTA DREAM - Pleased in a modest field at Graignes ten days ago. Starts in front but a repeat looks highly unlikely 3. DREAM DANCER - Very delicate sort that seldom leaves his mark and is not about to change his ways 4. DICARIO DU DOUET - Has just once made an impact on the track. Unraced since January and will need the outing 5. DOUBLE CHARM - Promising colt but progress hampered by stride issues. Tries going without hind shoes again and with application will have a decent place chance 6. DUEL D'ERABLE - Sanctioned more often than not but has ample talent. Encouraged at Saint-Malo earlier this month. Barefoot this time and starting from the front looks a major player 7. DISCO JET - Demonstrated good aptitude last year and although sanctioned at Amiens on re-entry he will have come on for the run and should play a small part 8. DRAGON ROUGE - Nothing to like on his formsheet for almost a year and can be confidently disregarded 9. DERBY BOX - Moderate type that has put in some respectable performances since his return but faces a tougher bunch this time and chances limited 10. DASSERO - Regularly in the action and pleased last time at Chartres but steps up in class and others preferred 11. DELFINO - Good class of colt that has previously made his mark here. Sanctioned in both since comeback but goes unshod behind for the first time and can return to winning ways 12. DIADEME BLUE - Has not been at his most productive this term and latest results do nothing to inspire confidence

13. DIRTY DANCING - Only once out of the first four when not disqualified. Sanctioned when full of running at Nantes last time and if applied can go close 14. DOLLAR GEDE - Good consistent individual that came a cropper at Vichy last week but with application can play a minor role 15. DAVCOL - Complicated trotter but reassured when winning here last month. Incurs the penalty this time though and will need to be at his best 16. DREAM ZAERI - Delicate but otherwise very rewarding with three wins from four races finished. With stride in check he could yet prove a spoiler 17. DOUX DOUX - Somewhat unreliable this year but looked a horse reborn at Argentan when barefoot for the first time. Same formula here and can make the first five 18. DEFI DE CASROUGE - Got the year off to a good start but has looked ordinary in his last five and will need to reaffirm After two comeback races the well-regarded (11) DELFINO is unshod behind for the first time and should return to his productive ways. The delicate (6) DUEL D'ERABLE goes barefoot for the occasion and from the front line looks dangerous. (13) DIRTY DANCING's ability and current form are not in doubt and if he can keep his action together he should be able to apply the pressure. (5) DOUBLE CHARM and (7) DISCO JET are not immune to breaking stride either but both are capable sorts with respectable first-five prospects. (11) DELFINO - (6) DUEL D'ERABLE - (13) DIRTY DANCING - (5) DOUBLE CHARM - (7) DISCO JET

Race 2 1. CHICHA - One of the least productive horses in the race and three straight sanctions do nothing to inspire trust 2. CARLA LA MAZURE - Respectable type that was disqualified on comeback last weekend and will need another outing 3. CALYPSO D'HARCOUEL - Decent mare that seldom lets the side down but with shoes on is unlikely to influence the outcome 4. CIRCE QUESNOT - Erratic but currently in good shape. Sanctioned at Reims with a lot left in the tank and with stride in check can make a big impact 5. CHIPIE DU MIREL - Useful on a good day but form has begun to regress and she will have to find more 6. CYLINDREE - Fine mare with good references. Unraced for the past twelve months but has the class to overcome her long absence. Place chance 7. CAGNOISE D'AGON - Unseen in the first three for the past 15 months and is not about to buck the trend 8. CATHY DE LA ROUVRE - Very useful when barefoot but races fully shod this time and can be passed over 9. CAPUCINE FANAC - Regular for the most part but disappointing in last two and must raise her game 10. CAMOMILLE DE BLAY - Sanctioned as often as not but is not devoid of talent and with her action together can play a small role 11. CRYS DREAM - Mare with considerable talent and although unplaced at Alencon last time she can expect to be well supported 12. CHOUPETTE JALLERIE - Appears to have overcome her stride problems and is currently on a roll. Gave a fine account last time out and has a decent shot once again 13. CARLITA DU KLAU - Has looked very modest since her Angers win last February and cannot expect to generate much interest 14. CARA JUELA - When applied she tends to acquit herself competitively but has no love affair with Caen and not an obvious choice 15. CLEAR WATER SPRING - Has made good progress over the past month and on similar form can finish in the mix (12) CHOUPETTE JALLERIE has been enjoying a productive run over the past two months. She caught the eye at Durtal and on similar form will have the edge

over the hardy (11) CRYS DREAM whose latest result belies her true value. (4) CIRCE QUESNOT has been flying of late and with stride in check will have every chance of making the frame. The classy (6) CYLINDREE makes her first appearance for a year but is unshod behind and could throw a spanner in the works. (12) CHOUPETTE JALLERIE - (11) CRYS DREAM - (4) CIRCE QUESNOT - (6) CYLINDREE

Race 3 1. CHIPIE DANOVER - Late developer with significant talent but makes her first start for five months and with shoes on can be passed over 2. BETTY QUICK - Nothing of note on his formsheet for the past twelve months and is not about to break the mould 3. AKARLINA - Moderate sort that encouraged at Ecommoy last time out but has not raced for two months and is expected to need the run 4. CINARCA - Got back to rewarding ways when runner-up in a mares-only race here late last month. Up against her elders this time but worth a second look all the same 5. COALINGA CITY - More often seen under the saddle but made quite the impact at Vichy two weeks ago. Breaks from the front and with just hind shoes on will be one to note 6. CELESTE DRY - Delicate sort but has talent in spades. Left a good impression over shorter here mid-may and from the first line has another solid chance 7. CIGALE MADRIK - Erratic but not without merit. Unraced since January though and will need the outing 8. CORONA GEDE - Seldom seen in this discipline but acquitted herself well behind Celeste Dry last month and on that basis is worth some consideration 9. BEA THORIS - Ended last season on a good note and has picked up where she left off. Comes here off a pleasant win and is well-placed to give this a good go 10. BARAKA PRIDE - Capable type but has been showing a lack of discipline and is not the easiest to trust 11. BAHIA DE BOUGY - Very useful for the most part and has form at the venue but disappointing in her last two and will need to reassure 12. CITY SEES - Well-regarded although somewhat reliable. Is not however incapable of finishing in the mix 13. COCONUT CITRUS - Gave a good account last time here but has just one race in her since the spell and with shoes on can be ruled out 14. ALLURE DE MALLOUET - Has been completely off the boil in both codes for the past three months and can be written off 15. AROSA DU BOUILLON - Put in a brace of good efforts in the provinces since her layoff and although on the back line should not be ignored 16. CORAL SEA - Not the most dependable but when on form is a tough opponent. Reassured at Enghien on penultimate start and a similar effort should

assure her a spot in the frame 17. BAILA SPORT - Serious trotter that has nothing to prove at this level. Received a solid thumbs-up on her comeback at Argentan and should be able to wrap this up 18. VIVA WELL - Acquits herself well for the most part when unshod behind. Scored convincingly at Saint-Malo earlier in the month and should again garner support (17) BAILA SPORT made a fine comeback at Argentan and returns to a track she appreciates with every chance of imposing. (6) CELESTE DRY starts in front and if applied should put on a good show. (16) CORAL SEA was not entirely at her ease at Vincennes last time but is on form and should redeem herself. (9) BEA THORIS has continued her rewarding ways since returning from her break and should not be far from the action. (8) CORONA GEDE sprang something of a surprise behind the favourite last month and the 25m advantage can only work in her favour. (17) BAILA SPORT - (6) CELESTE DRY - (16) CORAL SEA - (9) BEA THORIS - (8) CORONA GEDE

Race 4 1. CRENNES - Has shown signs of encouragement recently but in this event she looks to have a mountain to climb 2. CAMBADA D'OR - Gave a fine account last time here in better company and looks good enough to finish in the mix 3. CELIA DE ROWA - Tends to give a better account in the amateur division and will struggle to make any impact 4. CAME DU CALORNE - Fine mare that has nothing to prove at this level. Less effective with shoes off but returns to racing shod will have a part to play 5. CHANELLE TEJY - Last made the frame nine months ago and with just one race in her this term she can be disregarded 6. CALINKA PENEME - A shadow of her former self this year and will again have nothing to offer 7. CHIPIE NONANTAISE - Tricky sort but not entirely without merit. Last three below par though and will need to reassure 8. CARESSE - Delicate but has considerable ability and is confirmed over course and distance. Gave a fine account despite the sanction last time and if applied can pull this off 9. CARTOUCHE JEMISKA - Has considerable talent but not always the most dependable. Can make the first five if she can get off on the right foot 10. CERISE MIKA - Has been showing a lack of discipline lately but gets a second crack at going unshod all four and if behaved can make her presence felt 11. CASAQUE D'AZIF - Returned to winning ways on just her second start back and on similar form can play a leading role 12. CATHY DU MARIN - Has made no impact on the track for the past five months and can be ruled out 13. COQUINE DU METZ - Beginning to show improvement but has a better chance in the provinces and already looks outclassed 14. CORBEILLE D'ARGENT - Dynamic of late going barefoot and no reason that she cannot maintain the productive run 15. CAPILLA TEJY - Very hard to fault at present. In somewhat better company here but should nonetheless acquit herself competitively The tricky but talented (8) CARESSE would have gone close last time were it not for her fault and if on good behaviour can impose this time. (11) CASAQUE

D'AZIF scored with ease at Lisieux earlier in the month and looks the principal challenger. (14) CORBEILLE D'ARGENT has never been in better shape and with shoes off again should figure prominently. If (10) CERISE MIKA can keep her action together she can fill a minor money spot. (8) CARESSE - (11) CASAQUE D'AZIF - (14) CORBEILLE D'ARGENT - (10) CERISE MIKA

Race 5 1. BON WINNER - Has pleased in all three ridden starts so far. Steps up in class but should still acquit himself respectably 2. CORAIL D'AURE - Complicated but has ample talent. Reassured at Lisieux earlier in the month and looks good enough to make the first five 3. CHIC DE JALK - Often a case of all-or-nothing for this one but is fully shod this time and can be passed over 4. COOPER - Gave a solid performance at Dozule on comeback last month and on good behaviour will be one to note 5. CAMBO MAJYC - Good class of trotter that remains unbeaten over course and distance and looks a serious player on just his second start back 6. AWA VICTORIA - Useful on a good day but sanctioned in her last two under the saddle and chances limited 7. CADENCE DES GIRES - Is beginning to get back in the game since her break and with stride in check can play a small role here 8. CERES D'ORTIGE - Very useful last season before showing a lack of discipline. Pleased on comeback last month at Vincennes and should not be underestimated 9. CAPUCINE DANCER - Has had nothing to show for her efforts for the past 16 months and can be ruled out 10. BILL PLEASE - Left a good impression at Cherbourg on her second appearance in ridden competition and can give this a good go 11. ARIOSO RANAIS - Has pleased in two of his last three when barefoot but will still need to find more 12. CALIE DE POMMERAYE - Well regarded mare returning to her favoured discipline and should not be far off the mark 13. BATATA - Very impressive in this branch of the business. Has never disappointed at Caen and should again make a big impact 14. CARAVELLE - Has taken very well to her new vocation with two straight wins. Barefoot again and a leading contender 15. BELMANN - Useful under harness but not currently at his best and switches codes with no more than a moderate chance The tough (5) CAMBO MAJYC is unbeaten under these conditions and comes here fresh after an easy re-entry. Hardy mare (14) CARAVELLE has won both

starts under the saddle and legitimately bids to end the former's perfect streak. (13) BATATA has demonstrated exceptional aptitude for the code and will be no pushover. (10) BILL PLEASE has also given positive indicators but looks more a minor place prospect. (5) CAMBO MAJYC - (14) CARAVELLE - (13) BATATA - (10) BILL PLEASE

Race 6 1. ENVIE MESLOISE - Delicate filly that has shown good aptitude for the game. Finished fast at Laval before being disqualified and if applied this time she can finish close 2. ELITESNABE - Disqualified as often as not but has shown considerable talent. Left a good impression at Laval last time and can expect to be well supported 3. ELLA DE GLATIGNE - Well-campaigned filly that has just twice finished in the first three. Can prove tricky and others preferred this time 4. EAST ROAD - Winner of her first two starts before failing to fire at Argentan early June. If on form though she can make a big impact 5. ESCORTE VRIE - Beginning to show more on the track and was not disgraced here late last month but still needs to find more 6. ELISKA BERRY - Respectable fifth here behind Elite De Puch late May. Sanctioned next time at Laval but with stride in check can contest a spot in the frame 7. EVER DE L'ORMERIE - Has begun to make good on her promise. Winner of her last two and although in better company here she looks to have a decent hand to play 8. EFFRONTEE - Not the most reliable but has merit. Good third a month ago on Caen debut and will generate interest 9. ECUYERE D'OR - Gives a good account of herself for the most part but currently showing a lack of discipline and needs to get her house in order 10. EPONA DE DAIDOU - Won two on the trot but surprisingly lacklustre at Vincennes nine days ago. Will be more suited to Caen conditions and should garner significant support 11. ELITE DE PUCH - Just once out of the first four to date. Twice acquitted herself well at Caen last month and again represents a decent first-five chance 12. EASY LIGNERIE - Has given a good account in all three so far. Pleased at Laval a fortnight back and looks a solid challenger here 13. EXTRA CADETTE - Has finished in the frame just once since her return early May. Trounced in last two and will need to show more 14. ENGALA DE LOU - Was making good progress earlier this term but unplaced in two autostart events since. Returns to a regular start and should show improvement 15. EMMA BUCH - Demonstrated respectable aptitude last year. Unplaced at Nantes on comeback but should acquit herself more competitively this time

16. EFFIGIE MADRIK - Winner of both starts to date and latterly over course and distance. Comes in fresh and could well emerge unbeaten (16) EFFIGIE MADRIK has been impressive in both appearances so far and legitimately bids to maintain her unbeaten status. (12) EASY LIGNERIE however has proven she is no slouch either and should put up some resistance. Twotimes winner (4) EAST ROAD can put her recent clinker behind her and redeem herself here, but will need to keep an eye on (6) ELISKA BERRY, and (11) ELITE DE PUCH who has twice pleased at the venue recently. (16) EFFIGIE MADRIK - (12) EASY LIGNERIE - (4) EAST ROAD - (6) ELISKA BERRY - (11) ELITE DE PUCH

Race 7 1. CRACK DES NOYERS - Has looked very ordinary for the past year. Expectations exceeding reality 2. CALEDONIENNE - Capricious sort that has not been seen out since last November and is unlikely to shake things up on her first start back 3. CREDO BLUE - Sprang something of a surprise when third in the provinces eleven days ago but is unlikely to repeat 4. CAPPADOCE - Late developer with some ability but already looks outclassed and can be ruled out 5. CALIN DES MOISSONS - Modest type that has done nothing noteworthy in his last five and will need to find considerably more 6. CHIPIE DE VAUVILLE - Has endured a shocking run of form for the past 13 months and offers no hope 7. CLARA CELESTE - Back in business following a rough patch. Finished third at 68/1 over course and distance two weeks ago and will be at a much reduced price this time around 8. COCKTAIL DREAM - Lightly raced sort that encouraged in two of his last three. Goes unshod in front for the first time and will be worth watching 9. COLBAC BLEU - Has respectable form at Caen but has four shoes on this time and will have little to offer 10. CESAR DU POMMEAU - Disqualified on her only start in this branch of the game and latest results do little to inspire confidence 11. CLASSICA MUSICA - One of the least rewarding horses in the field. Sanctioned in her last six and can be ruled out 12. CHARMEUR LUDOIS - Complicated but tough sort that has been pleasing of late. Races fully shod though and others preferred 13. CALIBRA DU CLOSET - Has finished in the first three just once from nine this year and chances slim at best 14. CERAVIN FOR EVER - Last made any impact on the track eleven months ago and has no realistic chance 15. CASTA MADRIK - Delicate but otherwise very rewarding and if she can get off on the right foot her place is in the first three 16. COW BOY DE MIEUX - Occasionally shows his good side but makes his first start since February and is unlikely to be race-fit 17. CHERIE GIRL LOVELY - Good class of mare when racing barefoot as she proved at Meslay last month and should have the measure of most here
