3 EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2)exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lessonprogram); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. Federation Entry Agreement By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation ) and the local rules of End of Summer at Quail Run Horse Show. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable - casts, broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. Exhibitor Information Stabling Stalls are temporary inside tents. Limited permanent stalls. All stalls have fronts. First bedding is not included in the stabling fee. No refunds unless stalls are canceled by closing date of each horse show. Barns will be open two days preceding the show at 1:00 p.m. Barns will close on Monday after the show at 10:00 a.m. No horse or pony may be stabled overnight in a trailer or van on the show grounds. Be sure to add stabling information to entry form. Every horse will be charged a stall fee, unless specifically arranged with management. Stabling: Tom Urban, (402) or Patrice Urban, (402) Feed & Bedding Feed and bedding is available through the horse show office. For deliveries prior to arrival, please call the horse show office at (402) , (402) Exhibitors who bring their own shavings may be charged a $25.00 per horse disposal fee. Entries Entries must be postmarked by March 24th. The following must accompany entry form: 1. Stabling fees of $165 non refundable after entries close. 2. Office Charge of $ Check made payable to: URBAN EQUINE EVENTS, LLC Post entries will be accepted as space permits and will be charged a $50 post entry fee. Each entry must complete the enclosed entry form including all required numbers and signatures and fees stated above. Open checks will be written for the stall fee and office charge. Adds/Scratches Declare/Add all classes by 5:00 p.m. the day before classes are held. A transaction fee of $5.00 per add/scratch sheet may be charged if changes are made on the same day as the classes are held. Once a class has begun, no entry fees will be refunded & adds might not be accepted. Any entry riding in a class in which they have not entered will be charged a $10 Rode Without Entering charge, except warm up classes. Non Negotiable Checks Checks returned by the bank for any reason will be accessed a $25 fee and subject to USEF rule, GR913. Dogs All dogs on the show grounds must be held or tied on a leash or locked up when on the show grounds. Owners of loose dogs will be subject to a $100 fine. 04 Urban Equine Events Urban Equine Events 5

4 Exhibitor Information Exhibitor Information Poling Manual poling and use of offsets are prohibited at all times while on the grounds of Quail Run Horse Centre. Exhibitors found in violation will forfeit all entry fees for that showing day or day afterwards and may be excluded from showing for 24 hours upon any incident recorded with Management and USEF Steward. Parking Horse trailers and cars will be asked to park in designated areas only. Trailers will be allowed in the stable area to load and unload only. Show management reserves the right to ask anyone to move their cars, trucks, trailers and vans at any time. NO PARKING IN FIRE LANES. Campers There are no camper spots on the show grounds. Limited spots available in Waterloo at River West Park or riverwestpark.net. Motorized Vehicles Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. Medical Waste Due to Federal Regulations, all medical waste must be separated. Receptacles are provided for disposal of hypodermic needles in aisle of barns. Failure to use them will result in a $100 fine. Please do not mix with manure waste or in trash cans. Credentials All participants (rider, driver, handler, owner, trainer, coaches, agent or lessee) must present to the competition secretary a current USEF and USHJA Equestrian Membership card or copy thereof, or pay a $30 show pass fee for each organization. All Amateur-owners and adult amateurs must present their amateur cards at the time of number pick up. There is no longer AMATEUR non-member certification. Measurement Cards: All junior and ponies must possess and present to the horse show office, a current USEF measurement card. To speed the entry processing, enclose photocopies of these cards with entries. All horses competing in federation non breed licensed competitions with breeding, jumper and hunt seat equitation classes (exception activities enumerated in GR 901.9, items 1-9) must be properly identified and must obtain a Registration Number from the USHJA. A registration number for each horse must be entered on all entry forms for licensed competitions. Only one registration number will be issued per horse, and must remain with the horse throughout its career. Anyone knowingly applying for a duplicate registration number may be subject to disciplinary action. The USEF and/or USHJA as applicable, must be notified of any change of ownership and/or competition name of the horse. Owners are requested to notify USEF and/or the USHJA as applicable of corrections to previously submitted information, e.g., names, addresses, breed registration, pedigree, or markings. Applications for Horse Registration Numbers can be completed online at or or can be downloaded from the USHJA or USEF website, or are also available from the USHJA, USEF, or from Competition management. Horses must still be recorded with the USEF (either Lifetime or Annual) to receive National or Zone Points. Jumping Order A rotating jump order will be established and posted for all jumper classes, equitation, medal and any other classes that have priority. All horses must be ridden in the posted order. Trainers with conflicts must see starter so that adjustments can be made. No show ring will be held up due to conflicts for more than three minutes. All accepted post entries will show at the top of the starting order. Trainers All trainers are requires to leave an open check in the horse show office. Trainer splits will be offered for fee, hay and tack stalls. Only dollar amounts will be split (not quantities). Any splits uncollected from the client will revert back to the trainer for payment. Trainer splits must be completed by noon on Friday of each show week (no exceptions). Health Requirements Nebraska and Quail Run Horse Centre, Inc require that all horses entering the state/quail Run property respectively, have current and valid Negative Coggins, AND health certificate issued no longer than 2 weeks prior to arrival, must be presented to show secretary. Numbers will not be issued without verification. Responsibility All owners and exhibitors shall be held responsible for any damage incurred by them, their agents, employees and animals to stalls, buildings and any other properties on the show grounds and will be billed accordingly. 6 Urban Equine Events Urban Equine Events 7

5 Exhibitor Information Liability Neither the sponsor, beneficiary, show grounds, show committee, show management, nor their respective officers will be liable for (1)injuries sustained in any way to exhibitors, spectators, sub contractors, or employees;(2) any article of any kind or nature that may be lost, destroyed, stolen or injured in any manner - although every precaution will be undertaken to protect the property of the exhibitors; (3) any loss or damage that may occur to any horse on the grounds. Every horse entered for competition will be under the control of the Horse Show Management. By participating in the show in any way, to include spectator, exhibitor, rider, trainer, agent, owner or employee or agent of any of the above agree to hold the Quail Run Horse Centre, Inc, this horse show, directors and employees, officials and employees, the beneficiary, the USEF, and their officials, directors, employees and agents harmless for any injury or loss suffered which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise, during or in connection with the show whether or not such injury or loss resulted directly or indirectly from the negligent acts or omissions of said officials, directors, employees or agents of the show, the beneficiary, or the USEF. It shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold this horse show blameless for any loss or accident to his horse(s), employee(s) or equipment which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise. Warning Under Nebraska Law, a domesticated animal professional is not liable for damages suffered by, an injury to, or the death of a participant resulting from the inherent risks of domesticated animal activities persuant to sections 25-21, 249 to 25-21, 253 N.R.S. You are assuming inherent risks of participating in this domesticated animal activity. Note: In the event of an acute and serious injury to or illness of a horse on competition grounds when the owner or trainer of the horse or agent of the owner is not present, after reasonable effort to contact that individual has been made, competition management, in consultation with a licensed equine veterinarian, may authorize the provision of emergency veterinary treatment of the horse. If competition management so authorizes treatment under the provisions of this rule, competition management and veterinarian are not liable for any resulting costs, damages, losses, claims or actions arising directly or indirectly from the treatment of the horse. Horse Registration Numbers See USEF Rules GR 1101,1102. All horses competing in Federation non breed restricted licensed competitions with hunter, hunter breeding, jumper and hunter seat equitation classes must be properly identified and must obtain a Registration Number from the USHJA. Applications for Registration Numbers can be completed online at org or using the Horse Registration application form HORSES MUST STILL BE RECORDED WITH THE USEF (EITHER LIFETIME OR ANNUAL) TO RECEIVE NATIONAL OR ZONE POINTS. See USEF Rules EQ 100.2, HU 101.1, And JP Exhibitor Information Order/Ring/Exhibitor Conduct If the courtesy circle is restricted, it shall be announced, and also be indicated on the course diagram. A corresponding barrier will be erected in the arena. If said restrictions are not observed, the rider shall be disqualified. Jumping orders will be posted at the ingate. Jumping orders will be pre-posted and rolled. Post entries will be added to the top or the bottom of the jump order, at management s discretion. Please advise the paddock master of any conflicts. Golf Carts Golf carts will be available for $225 per week. A lease agreement must be signed. Please call ahead to reserve one. The supply is limited, please reserve one early. Parents If not accompanying minor, please send permission for medical treatment (responsibility for care) with trainer or responsible adult. Measurement Horse and pony measurement will take place in the Quail Run Horse Centre barn on Friday at 8:00 am, and other announced times if necessary. Lunging Lunging is permitted in designated areas only. No lunging in schooling areas after tractor works rings. Competitors must exit all rings upon tractor entrance. Refunds Prior to arrival on the show grounds, entry fees minus $40 office fee shall be refunded if horse/rider is unable to participate. Stall fees shall not be refunded after closing date. After arrival, a Show Scratch refund for a horse s entries, less the $40 fee may be granted with a signed vet certificate indicating the inability, and reason(s) thereof, for the horse not being able to compete. Entry refunds resulting from the cancellation/rescheduling of classes due to extreme weather or an act of God, may be given only at the sole discretion of show management. Schooling Schooling will be available the day preceding each horse show from 1-6. All other schooling / rings / sessions will be at the discretion of show management. 6 Exhibitor Information Prize Money - Ribbons Eight ribbons will be offered in every class, unless specified. Championships and reserve will be awarded according to GR for hunter, The points method, JP is used for jumper and equitation divisions. Bonus point classes may be used to break Championship ties. JUMPER CLASS TIES FOR OTHER THAN FIRST PLACE WILL HAVE TIME BE THE DECIDING FACTOR. Amount of prize money awarded in the class is stated right after the class number in specifications of the section. See schedule on next page. Management reserves the right to mail checks after the conclusion of the horse show, however, premiums can be subtracted from payment due, and premium checks MAY be available after checkout on accounts completely paid. Management reserves the right to change jumper tables after due notice to exhibitors. Jump order will be computer drawn. The Points Method in JP will be used for determining jumper championships. Some classes are awarded BONUS POINTS and such CLASSES POINTS may be used to break TIES FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS Horses MUST compete in at least 1 or 2 other classes in the section to be eligible for STAKE CLASSES. All horses showing in 1.15m and above Jumper Classes, EXCEPT CHILDREN S/ADULT CLASSES must be nominated and a nominating fee of $80. Once a horse is nominated, it becomes entitled to compete in any jumper class for which it is eligible, upon payment of the showing fee for said class. Final obstacle of all combinations in pony jumper classes may not be spreads. All entrants will compete over the same heights, spreads and distances. The judge shall select a minimum of eight (8) riders, if available, from the over fences section to show back in the flat section. In the flat section, riders shall be shown as a group at the walk, trot and canter both directions of the ring. No martingales allowed in flat section. If necessary, the judge at his discretion may ask for tests 1-13 of the top four riders. Only one rider per horse. All eligible riders may enter this class at each INHJA approved show regardless of previous wins. Bonus points shall be awarded for this class. Gold, silver and bronze medals and five ribbons.
