3 Conditions of Entry for all Competitors Please read carefully Grade Champion: Champions will be awarded from a points system with the 1 st place winner in each class being given 5 points and working down to 5 th place gaining 1 point. 2 best placings in each grade to count. In the event of a tie on points the 2 highest percentage tests will count. SDC Member Supreme Champion: The winner will come from a Horse and Rider combination who have attained the highest percentage scores on the day from any grade. Champion Pony: Best 2%'s from any level on the day. Champion Young Rider: Best 2%'s to count. ALL RIDERS PLEASE PRESENT AT THE PRESENTATIONS IN YOUR RIDING ATTIRE. Ribbons will be awarded 1 st to 3 rd and then 1 in 4 starters, and prize money will be awarded 1 st to 3 rd. Champion rugs will be awarded for both Official and Associate class. (Prize money will only be awarded to events with 4 or more starters, FEI excluded) Previous Champion winners are ineligible for the Champion award at that level or below. (FEI excluded) Official tests: The rider must be over 12 years of age and a financial member of the EA. The horse must be EA registered and horse owners must also be a financial member of EA. No Hors Concours entries taken for this Championships This competition is held in accordance with EA and FEI Rules where applicable. Protests must be made within ½ an hour of the posting of the scores on scoreboard. A fee of $50, (which will be refunded only if the protest is upheld), must accompany all protests. All protests must be in writing and given to the chief steward. All competitors, both associate and official, must have a gear check before or directly after each test they have entered. If you fail to have a gear check you maybe eliminated. Horses that are not entered in the draw cannot be bought on to the grounds during competition days (Insurance rules apply). This competition is open to horses, galloways, ponies and stallions. Stallions must have their identification clearly displayed at all times. Horses may compete in two consecutive levels (e.g. Prelim/Novice), but no more than three tests per horse. One rider may only ride a maximum of two horses in any test. By 'placed' the committee means 1 st to 3 rd. Parents must sign for all competitors under 18 years of age. Callers are permitted. Except for FEI classes as per FEI rules. Whilst riding on the grounds an Australian approved helmet and correct riding boots must be worn. Club shirts may be worn in the associate events. Top Hats are permitted, provided they are only worn prior to competition, and not during warm-up. Please observe the speed limits when driving on the Common Grounds. The committee's decision is final. RISK WARNING AND DISCLAIMER 1. Horse riding is a dangerous activity and can result in serious injury (including death) and loss 2. All persons who ride, or tend horses on these grounds do so entirely at their own risk 3. Neither Equestrian Australia, Shoalhaven Dressage Club Inc, nor the Committee or any member thereof, accepts any liability for any personal injury (including death) suffered by any person from or relating to any incident involving a horse whether or not caused or contributed to by the negligent act, error or omission of Shoalhaven Dressage Club Inc, the committee or a member thereof.
