Raced and unraced Thoroughbreds are eligible for the program. A minimum of three entries must compete in each class to complete the division and award points toward the year-end TAKE2 High-Score Jumper Championships. Champion or reserve will not be awarded for.70m-1.00m Jumper divisions. The Low Children s/adult, High Children s/adult, and Junior/Amateur Jumper divisions will be run in accordance to USEF and USHJA Zone 2 rules and specs. 8 USHJA OUTREACH CLASS SPECIFICATIONS Mini Stirrup: Open to horses & ponies ridden by junior exhibitors 10 years of age & under as of December 1st of the current show year. Riders may have never competed in any division at any horse show competition where cantering is required or fence height is 2 or higher. At that time, the rider is no longer eligible for Mini Stirrup Division. Fences are cross rails below 18 or rails on ground. Short Stirrup: Open to horses & ponies ridden by junior exhibitor 12 years of age & under as of December 1st of the current show year. Riders may have never shown in any division, at any show, where the fence height specifications are 2 or higher. To be shown over a course less than 2 in height. To be judged on manners, performance & suitability. Riders may not cross enter into any other division or class at any competition other than Short Stirrup Hunter & Equitation. This division may be combined with Beginner Hunter, if needed. Beginner Hunter: Open to horses & ponies ridden by riders of ANY age. Fences LESS THAN 2 in height. Section A: Rider may not have shown in a division, at any show, where the fence height specifications are 2 or higher. Riders in section A may not cross enter in any division or class at any competition where fences are 2 or higher. The rider will be no longer eligible for Beginner s. Section B: Horse or pony not to have shown in a division, at any competition, where fence height specifications are 2 or higher. Horses may not cross enter into any division or class where fences are 2 or higher at the same competition. This division may be combined with Short Stirrup Hunter, if needed. TROTTING ON COURSE NOT TO BE PENALIZED, ALTHOUGH AN UNINTENTIONAL BREAK OF GAIT WILL BE PENALIZED. Beginner Equitation: Open to exhibitors of any age who have not shown in a division, at any show, where the fence height specifications are 2 or higher. To be shown over a course less than 2. Riders may not cross enter into any other division or class where fences are 2 or higher. This division may be combined with Short Stirrup Equitation if there are less than 3 exhibitors in each section. TROTTING ON COURSE NOT TO BE PENALIZED, ALTHOUGH AN UNINTENTIONAL BREAK OF GAIT WILL BE PENALIZED. Modified Rider 2 3 : Open to junior and amateur exhibitors on horses or ponies. Riders to show over a simple course with fences at 2 3. Riders not to have shown over fences 2 6 or higher in the previous show year. Exhibitors cannot cross enter into any other class/division where fences are higher than 2 3 at the same competition. Riders who have competed in a rated division which includes Pre- Children s horses and Low Adult in the past show year are not eligible to compete in this class. This class may be combined with any other division with equivalent specifications. Low (Pre) Children s Equitation: Open to junior riders who are still eligible to compete as limit riders as of December 1st of the current show year. To be shown over a course of eight (8) fences, with one change of direction. Fences 2 for ponies. Fences 2 6 for horses. Riders may not cross enter into Children s Hunter horse or pony, Pony Hunter or any class at the same competition where fences exceed 2 6. Low (Pre) Children s Hunter: Open to horses & ponies ridden by junior riders who are still eligible to compete as limit riders as of December 1st of the current show year. Fences 2 for ponies. Fences 2 6 for horses. May be combined with low adult hunter. May be split between horses and ponies if more than three riders in each section. Riders may not cross enter into Children s Hunter horse or pony, Pony Hunter, or any class at the same competition where the fences exceed 2 6. Low Adult Equitation 2 6 : Open to adult amateur exhibitors. To be shown over a course of fences 2 6. Riders may not cross enter into any class or division with fences 3 or higher. Low Adult Hunter: Open to horses & ponies ridden by an adult amateur exhibitor. To be shown over a course of fences 2 6 in height. Riders may not cross enter into any class or division with fences 3 or higher. NJPHA/NJHSA Schooling Hunter 2 6: Open to all horses & riders. Judged on performance & soundness emphasis on manners. To be run in accordance with USEF/USJHA Zone 2 Specifications. Fences 3. M&S Children s Hunter Horse Classic: Must have entered and shown in two Children s Hunter Horse Classes at the same show. Adult Amateur Hunter: To be shown by exhibitors who are no longer eligible to compete as junior exhibitors, who possess a valid current USEF Amateur Card. 13 USEF/Princeton Show Jumping Rules & Regulations 1. The right is reserved to cancel, combine or divide any classes if entries so warrant. In addition, the right is reserved to refuse any entry before the start of the competition without being liable for compensation. 2. All Prize money will be distributed 30%-22%-15%-12%-11%-10% unless otherwise specified. 3. Championships will be offered in all sections except.70m-1.00m and be calculated at for hunters Jumpers will be except the final class will be with the bonus class breaking all ties. 4. Prize money will be applied to the exhibitor s outstanding account if any, or mailed to the exhibitor as listed on the entry blank within 30 days of the close of the show provided a W9 has been completed and is on file in the show office showing the taxpayer for each horse. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6.
