Anne Kursinski and UK winner of the 2017 Princeton Young Championship The $100,000 Princeton Young Championships 2018 Open to all 4, 5, 6, & 7 year-old PSJ Registered Young s Registration: $100 per horse until June 30, $200 until PYJC closing date of entries. $300 after PYJC closing date. Eligibility: All young jumpers must provide USEF age verification with show entry. **All PYJC registered young jumpers may show in any class up to and including 1.30m at Princeton Show Jumping in 2018 for no class fee, no grounds fee, no ship in fee, no office fee, no EMT fee. Any applicable USEF/ USHJA Fees will be charged. *This offer does not include The Princeton Young Championships October 3-7 and all classes restricted to Children, Adult, Junior or Amateur riders. Entries must pay any applicable USEF, USHJA and stall fees. You must register young jumpers and provide USEF age verification prior to showing. Registration and USEF age verfication instructions can be found at Prize Money: Registered PYJC horses showing for free will not receive prize money. Horses will be listed in all results and will be eligible for all awarded trophies, coolers, and ribbons. Young jumpers will be eligible for prize money by paying all normal show fees. You must indicate paid status to the show office prior to competing. The show office will assume all undeclared paid horses as a PYJC registered horse. Stalls are NOT included in this offer. The Princeton Young Championships will once again be the highlight of the Fall Season for all Young s. Two divisions of classes will be offered. The Championship Division and The Corinthian Division (10cm lower than the Championship division for 5, 6,and 7 year-olds.) 4 year-olds will only be offered in the Championship division. 7 USEF Class Specs TAKE2 is open to all Thoroughbreds verified by The Jockey Club registrations papers or lip tattoo number at time of entry. Raced and unraced Thoroughbreds are eligible for the program. A minimum of three entries must compete in each class to complete the division and award points toward the year-end TAKE2 High-Score Championships. Champion or reserve will not be awarded for.70m-1.00m divisions. The Low and High Children s/adult divisions will be run in accordance to USEF and USHJA Zone 2 rules and specs. Low Child/Adult Classic: The horse must have been entered in at least one other Low Child/ Adult class at the same show. 10 to fill. Formal Attire Required. High Child/Adult Classic: The horse must have been entered in at least one other High Child/Adult class at the same show. 10 to fill. Formal Attire Required. Junior/Amateur s: $175 nominating fee. The 1.20m and 1.30m Junior/Amateur divisions will run combined if there are less than 8 entries in each section.. No martingale restrictions at 1.30m or below if used in the conventional manner. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. Riders may have never shown in any division, at any show, where the fence height specifications are 2 or higher. To be shown over a course less than 2 in height. 16 USEF/Princeton Show Jumping Rules & Regulations 1. The right is reserved to cancel, combine or divide any classes if entries so warrant. In addition, the right is reserved to refuse any entry before the start of the competition without being liable for compensation. 2. All Prize money will be distributed 30%-22%-15%-12%-11%-10% unless otherwise specified. 3. Championships will be offered in all sections and be calculated at for hunters. s will be except the final class will be with the bonus class breaking all ties. An office-processing fee of $25 per legitimately excused animal will be deducted from the refund. Riders must be properly attired for all classes. Jackets are required in all classes unless waived due to inclement weather. Protective headgear is required at all times when mounted on the show grounds. Formal attire (white breeches and riding jacket) for Classics and Grand Prix. 10. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have CURRENT MEMBERSHIPS and measurement cards for any and all classes, which require the same. 11. ENTRIES CLOSE by the date marked on the entry blanks. All entry & stall fees must be paid by the closing date of entries to not incur a late fee. No entry will be considered valid unless accompanied by full payment. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. 23. Breaking ties for other than first place will be done by time taken in the first round needed to run the Grand Prix. All other classes with prize money need 10 to fill. 25.
