Information and Regulations TRIANGLE FARMS Summer Indoors I, Summer Indoors II & Fall Classic are NCHJA C rated horse shows and are run in accordance with NCHJA rules.

3 Information and Regulations TRIANGLE FARMS Summer Indoors I, Summer Indoors II & Fall Classic are NCHJA C rated horse shows and are run in accordance with NCHJA rules. Friday of each show is unrecognized. Summer I & II will be held in the Main Arena, Covered Arena and the Jumper Ring. Triangle Farms Fall Classic C will be held in the new outdoor rings on the west end of the Horse Complex. Jumpers will be held on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10AM at the July and August shows. Stabling will be available for all shows. SCHOOLING is permitted on the day before the show, 1PM to 9PM, on show days from 5:30AM to one hour before start time in each ring, and at the completion of the show each day, ring work finished and time permitting. STALLS are available for $95. Bedding and hay are available upon request. Stall reservations and bedding orders should be made in advance. All non-stalled horses will be charged a grounds fee of $40. ENTRIES are $25 per class. The entry fee for the $500 Hunter Derbies and Jumper Classic at the July and August show is $ 50. The entry fee for the $2500 Triangle Hunter Derby at the September show is $125, minimum of 12 entries to fill. All classes must be added or scratched prior to the start of a class. Late Fee of $40 begins at 5:00PM the day before the show starts. All horses, showing and non-showing, must be entered on the proper entry blank, pay a $40 office/schooling fee, and a stall or grounds fee. Scratched entries will be refunded entry fees minus the office fee. All non-showing horses must pay the non-showing fee and office/schooling fee. ASTM-SEI APPROVED HELMETS must be worn by all riders while mounted on the show grounds. NEGATIVE COGGINS is required of each horse on the show grounds. NC State Law (effective October 1, 1999) requires that any horse not in possession of a current negative Coggins MUST be refused admission to the grounds. A copy of the negative Coggins must be attached to each entry blank in the show office and must be posted on the front of each stall for inspection by the State Veterinarian s office. Fines for non-compliance can be as high as $5000; exhibitor assumes responsibility for any fine. JUMP ORDERS, a dotted line, and/or the one minute rule may be imposed. DOGS must be kept on a leash or confined at all times. No dogs will be allowed in the arena, horse show office, or restaurant. CAMPER HOOKUPS are available for a fee of $25 per night, collected directly by State Fairgrounds Police. THE MANAGEMENT reserves the right to reschedule, combine, close, add, or delete any classes or change the announced officials as may be necessary and in the best interest of the show. All entries are made at the rider s, owner s, and trainer s risk with the understanding that there is an inherent risk in riding horses and participating in equine events. Neither Triangle Farms, Inc., Glenn or Joan Petty, NCHJA, the NC State Fair, the management, the officials, nor the employees will be responsible for any accident or loss which may occur to an exhibitor, owner, rider, animal, or equipment at Triangle Farms Horse Shows. Under North Carolina Law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting exclusively from the inherent risks of equine activities (Chapter 99E of the North Carolina General Statutes). Class Specifications Short Stirrup, Pony Hunter, Children s Hunter, Adult Amateur Hunter, Junior/Amateur Owner Hunter, Pre-Children Adult Hunter, Age Group Equitation, NCHJA Equitation Medals and Children/Adult Jumpers are run in accordance with NCHJA rules. Young Entry is open to junior riders in their first 2 years of showing, may not cross enter into any other division. Low Hunter, Modified Hunter, Performance Hunter, Schooling Hunter and Hopeful Hunter are open to all riders on horses or ponies. Pre-Green Hunter is open to horses in first 2 years of showing at NCHJA or USEF shows. Green Hunter is open to horses who have not shown over fences exceeding 3 at NCHJA or USEF recognized horse shows. Schooling Pony is open to juniors on ponies. Special Hunter is open to junior and amateur riders on horses or ponies. Long Stirrup is open to riders over 12 years of age. Walk-Trot is open to riders 12 and under, may not cross enter into any other division. Hunter warm-ups, time permitting, are open to all riders.
