The 1 st round and jump-off, if any, are decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course and any penalties for exceeding the Time Allowed (We will break jumpoff ties by time taken). If there are no clean rounds and a tie exists for first place, there will be one jump-off in which time will decide in the event of equality of faults. If necessary, a competitor with a clear 1 st round may dismount, and with or without assistance, adjust tack, provided they remount and begin their jump-off within the prescribed 45 seconds. Table II, Sec 1 Only one round is ridden. This round is decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course and any penalties for exceeding the Time Allowed. Horses with clean rounds or equal faults are classified according to their time taken to complete the course. Modified Table III This is a power and speed class. Only clean rounds in the power phase, may continue immediately into the speed phase of the course. Faults 1. Knockdown of obstacle or standard with any portion of horse, rider, or equipment, when jumping - 4 faults 2. Knockdown of timing equip, marker on start & finish line, or flags 4 ft 3. Second disobedience anywhere on course 4 faults 4. One (1) fault for each sec. over Times Allowed. ELIMINATION FOR THE FOLLOWING Second disobedience anywhere on course, exceeding Time Limit, resisting forward movement for 45 sec., taking 45 sec. to jump the first obstacle after the round has begun, taking 45 sec. to jump the second obstacle on course, crossing own jump line, fall of horse and/or rider, jumping an obstacle before it is reset or without waiting for the signal to proceed, starting before the start signal, failure to cross the start line within 45 sec., Off course, failure to enter arena after 1 (one) minute of being called, leaving the arena before finishing the course, abuse or excessive use of whip or spurs any time within the arena. Gambler s Choice Time allowed ~ 45 and 90 secs. Each fence is assigned a point value. The time begins when the rider crosses the start. Any fence in the course can be jumped up to a max of two times per jump in the designated time allowed. Once the whistle is blown only a completed fence is counted. Rider must cross finish line, as in case of tie fastest time wins. The Joker may be jumped twice; 200pts are awarded each time this obstacle is jumped correctly; but if knocked down, 200 pts must be deducted from the total pts obtained. Pts will not be counted for knockdowns, downed fences cannot be jumped again. Gambler s Choice is restricted to highest Level competed.
