4 TERMS & CONDITIONS: 1. $15.00 per RIDER/EXHIBITOR payable as the Facility Fee (for ground levy/ registration etc.) at registration desk. After payment, provision of PIC number and completion of indemnity and waiver form, you will be allocated with your competition number/s. All riders/exhibitors must register prior to entering the competition arenas. 2. ENTRY FEES per class, per horse are given at the top of each page and/or section. 3. All charges & entry fees, prize money, trophies, ribbons and sashes include GST. (This year all entry fees are $4 except for Ring 6 - Showjumping) 4. PRIZE MONEY will be available from the horse steward's following the completion of each class. 5. Changes to the schedule are at the sole discretion of the Albury Show Society Committee. Note- There will be no competitive horse events at this year s Albury Show (held at the showground) on the 2 nd & 3rd November REGULATIONS: 1. The judges are empowered to withhold prizes in any section where the exhibits are, in their opinion, unworthy of the prize, and at all times the Judge's decision will be final. 2. Competitors must be ready when called. There can be no delay of judging for late entries. 3. The committee will provide every possible facility to competitors and every care will be taken, but no responsibility will be incurred by the Society. 4. Competitors taking part in any Show Competition do so at their own risk. The committee reserves the right to refuse entry without assigning any reason for doing so. 5. District - comprises the area within a 50km radius of Albury Post Office. Horses entered in the "District class" to have been resident in the district for at least one month prior to the show. 6. All riders in "District Class" must be bona fide residents in the district for six months prior to the show. 7. Novice Horses, Riders and Handlers are those who have not won a first ribbon at any open show. 8. Stallions: are not eligible to be ridden in classes unless otherwise stated. 9. All stallions must be paraded with a bit in the mouth. 10. Handlers & Riders of Stallions must be 17 years and over. 11. Stewards may request Registration Papers, current membership proof, height cards, and may order the measuring and/or drug testing of any horse or pony. 12. No exhibitor or associate will initiate conversation with a judge on judging day, before, during or after judging. 13. Any exhibitor or associate who behaves offensively on the showground (AWEC) will be removed from the ground and may be refused re-admission. 14. Drug testing may be carried out at this show. Any competitor found to have breached the ASC Disputes and Disciplinary Regulations, will be investigated by the ASC Disciplinary Committee and dealt with accordingly. These regulations can be found on INDEMNITY & WAIVER FORMS: All competitors in horse events will be required to sign forms indemnifying the Albury Show Society and waiving any claims against the Society for loss or damage to competitor s property or caused by the competitors or their animals at the show. On the Waiver competitors must name all horses brought to the showground together with the PIC of the property from which they have come. PROTESTS & PROCEDURES: A protest or complaint against any exhibit or exhibitor may be lodged verbally with the Chief Steward of the relevant section no later than ten minutes after the judging of the exhibit or exhibitor. The Chief Steward must be provided with the exact nature of the complaint and act, if necessary, to maintain competitive fairness. The Chief Steward may choose to refer the matter to the Protests Committee, which shall comprise the President of the Society, or a Vice President and two other members of the General Committee. A protest or complaint or an appeal against the decision of a Chief Steward may be lodged in writing with the Secretary no later than 10 pm on the day of judging. Such protest, complaint or appeal shall be accompanied by a deposit of $50 which shall be forfeited if the protest, complaint or appeal proves to be frivolous or vexatious. A matter lodged this way shall be dealt with by the Protests Committee within 24 hours of lodgment and the decision of the Protests Committee shall be final. NB: No protest or complaint will be considered if it refers simply to a judge s decision. 4 P a g e

6 JUNIOR JUDGING COMPETITION. Commencing 12 noon Sunday 16 th September - This competition is open to all competitors under 25 years The competition will be conducted as follows: 1- One class of Horse/Pony will be judged as LED - Paraded in a clockwise direction for 2 minutes. - Lined up side by side for 2 minutes. - Separately led straight away from the line-up at a walk for 20 to 30 metres; then right and trotted 20 to 30 metres straight across; then right trotting straight back and halting in front of the line-up. 2- Each competitor to complete a judging card placing exhibits from 1 st to 4 th. 3- Each competitor to give a short explanation/reason for his/her placing of the exhibits. The Competition Judge will preside over all entrants and evaluate each as follows: a) Overall Placing of Exhibits 50 b) Judging Technique 20 c) Oral Presentation 20 d) General Appearance 10 Dress- Competitors must be neatly attired in riding apparel or clothing appropriate for judging a LED Class at any Agricultural Show.
