Once entries are closed on Agst 10, 2018 entries fees will be increased to the Post-entry fee. 3 DRAFT HORSE SHOW RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Standards of Condct of Fair General Rles and Reglations of Dtchess Conty. Fair and General Rles of Dtchess Conty Fair Horse Show are available on reqest and will be posted for yor review on the day of the show. 2. Loss, injry or damage to horse or owner (inclding driver/handler or other employee) is in no way the responsibility of the Dtchess Conty Fair Management or the Horse Show Committee. 3. Online entries close 10 days prior to the Dtchess Conty Fair. Post entries will be accepted with $10 overall fee. Make checks payable to DCAS Inc.. 4. At no time will horses be allowed to be driven on any vehicle in areas of the fairgronds where the fair management has not previosly granted permission to do so. 5. Nmbers mst be visible at all times. 6. In all halter and hitch/driving classes horse or horses mst be sond. In hitch/driving classes horse or horses shall be shown hitched to a sitable vehicle and the driver shall be clean and neatly dressed. 7. In all hitch/driving classes, the driver will be allowed one helper, no other riders will be permitted on the wagon while the horses are being shown. In any driving classes where more than two horses are shown, two capable drivers mst be on the wagon. 8. In driving classes where more than two horses are shown they may be owned by one or more exhibitor. Be sre only one entry is made for each hitch. 9. Insfficient entries in a class may reslt in the cancellation of that class. The Jdge and Ringmaster reserve the right to divide, combine or add any classes it deems necessary for the good of the show. 10. Jnior s age will be determined as of Janary 1 in the year of show. Jnior to drive classes will be jdged on driving ability and not on the qality of horses. All jniors mst be accompanied by an adlt capable of driving horses. Jniors may not show a stallion in any class. 11. NEW YORK STATE HELMET LAW: Article 34-B. S1265 No person less than forteen years of age shall ride/drive a horse/horses nless sch person is wearing a helmet meeting or exceeding ASTM F1163 (Safety Eqipment Institte certified) Eqestrian Standard. 12. Farm teams may not be shown in hitch classes and hitch teams may not be shown in farm classes no scotch collars or scotch shoes in all farm classes. 13. Hitch/driving classes will be jdged according to qality of horses, eqipment and the ability of the driver to handle his/her horses at the command of the jdge. An ncontrolled horse/s may be excsed at any time by the discretion of the jdge or ringmaster. 14. The Fair sperintendents or management may deny admission to, or reqire segregation or removal from Fair premises any animal fond to be infected with or exposed to any commnicable disease whether internal or external and whether sch disease is specifically mentioned in these reglations, if in his opinion sch action is necessary for the protection of other exhibits. 15. In the registered classes, all registration papers mst be available if reqested. 16. The Dtchess Conty Agricltral Society shall reserve the right to reject or refse and to order the removal of any exhibit which, in the opinion of the show sperintendent is not eligible or worthy of showing or has not met the livestock health reqirements. 17. 4 RULES AND REGULATIONS Contined 18. ALL HORSES ENTERING THE FAIRGROUNDS MUST MEET NEW YORK STATE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS. OUT OF STATE HORSES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A HEALTH CERTIFICATE. ALL HORSES MUST HAVE A CERTIFICATE OF COGGINS TEST PERFORMED CONDUCTED WITHIN 12 MONTHS. ALSO REQUIRED IS PROOF OF A CURRENT RABIES VACCINATION. PLEASE SEE PAGES FOR NYS AG & MARKETS REGULATIONS FOR OUT OF STATE HORSES. 19. A $35.00 charge will be incrred for any retrned checks. 20. All Prizes and Ribbons mst be picked p the day of the competition.
