1 European Fencing Confederation Confédération Européenne d Escrime Dear Member Federation, Information Letter no Reminder for Montreux we follow a request of the Swiss Fencing Federation who noticed that not many participating federations have yet made their reservations for a bus transfer from Geneva airport to Montreux. And the same applies for those federations who arrive by private cars of bus and need a parking place in Montreux. 2 FENCING EURO 2015 MONTREUX INVITATION Welcome in Montreux - Switzerland Welcome to the European Fencing Championships 2015 in Montreux Swiss Fencing is very happy to welcome the elite of European fencing to the 2015 European Championships which will take place in Montreux from the 5th to the 11th of June Our federation has not organised a big fencing event since 1998, but to celebrate our 100th year of existence, we decided to organise these European Championships. For this we have chosen a particularly special venue: the Montreux Music and Convention Center (2M2C), meeting place of the greatest music artists on the planet during the traditional Montreux Jazz Festival. The location is also very special for we will find ourselves in an idyllic spot along the shores of the Lake Léman, one of the most frequented areas in all of Switzerland. We hope that all delegations will enjoy this event which itself is also of great importance for qualification to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. Olivier Carrard President Swiss Fencing

If that s not possible, the entry fee has to be paid upon arrival by the head of delegation at the accreditation desk in cash, in Euro only.

5 WEAPON CONTROL All fencers have to be equipped according to the FIE regulations. The weapon control will take place for each category the day before competitions in the Sports Venue 2m2c, in the training hall. The Weapon control will be open the 4 th of June from 10 a.m. and all the other days from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. ANTI DOPING RULES Anti - doping control will adhere to article of the FIE Anti-Doping rules. Doping Controls will be administered by the Organizing Committee. HOTEL RESERVATION The official reservation for the hotels is closed, but for any questions and demands please contact directly Montreux Vevey Tourism, they will be happy to help you. Booking Center reservation@montreuxrieviera.com Fax: phone: /70 TRANSPORTATION Bus transfers between the OFFICIAL airport in Geneva and the OFFICIAL hotels of the competition only are available at 75 CHF round trip ticket per person. Transfers are provided from the 3rd to the 12th of June. You will find a Fencing Euro 2015 Welcome Desk upon your arrival at Geneva airport. The reservation for the transfer of the delegation has to be sent with the official form on the website ( to the responsible person by transfer@fencingeuro2015.com till the 20 th of March at latest. TRANSFER TO THE VENUE All official hotels are located along the region s public transport (VMCV) bus line 201. Guests at official hotels in the region receive a card entitling them to free transportation on the VMCV s lines for the duration of their stay.
