1 Media Release Printed on December 22, 2017 Reported Date/Time Address Description 12/20/17 21: COUNTY 30, LONG PRAIRIE, MN Car Deer On at approximately 2123 hours Sahra Gugglberger, rural Browerville, was traveling east on County Road 30 in Long Prairie Township when she stuck a deer with her 2008 Mercedes Benz C300. The vehicle sustained front end and hood damage. Gugglberger was uninjured in the crash. 12/20/17 19: TH ST W, BROWERVILLE, MN Accident Property On at approximately 1915 hours Lucas Recknor, Richmond, was traveling east on 6th street west in the city of Browerville. When Recknor attempted to turn left his vehicle he was struck in the left rear by a vehicle driven by Jaymi Nelson of Browerville. The roadway was snow covered and road conditions were icy. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Nelson sustained minor injuries in crash while Recknor stated he was uninjured. Browerville Ambulance assisted the Todd County Sheriffs Office at the accident scene. 12/19/17 17:59 COUNTY 73 / 494TH ST, HEWITT, MN Car Deer On at 1759 hours, TCSO received a call of a car deer accident that occurred on County 73 near the Todd Line Road in rural Hewitt. 41 year old Chad Bernstetter, rural Hewitt, called to report that he struck a deer in the traffic lane while heading southbound on County 73 in rural Hewitt. Chad was not injured in the incident and his Chevrolet Truck received minor damage to the passenger side front. 12/19/17 15:58 Information The Todd County Sheriff's Office would like to remind citizens that ice conditions remain unpredictable on lakes throughout Todd County. There may be several inches in one area and only one or two inches just a short distance away. Areas of open water have also been reported on many Todd County lakes, including the east side of Horseshoe Lake. 2 12/18/17 17:10 COUNTY 7 / 460TH ST, STAPLES, MN Car Deer On at 1710 hours, TCSO received a call of a car deer accident that occurred on County 7 near 460th St in Villard TWP. 76 year old John Schultz, rural Browerville, reports that he struck a deer in the traffic lane while traveling southbound on County 7. John was not injured and his Ford Windstar van received minor damage to the drivers side front. 12/16/17 21:30 HACKBERRY RD / COUNTY 38, LONG PRAIRIE, MN Accident Property On at 2130 hours, TCSO received a call of a one vehicle accident roll over that occurred on Hackberry Road south of County 38 in Leslie TWP. 17 year old Cristy Blumer, city of Clarissa, was southbound on Hackberry Road when she lost control of her Ford Truck causing the truck to roll over on the drivers side. Cristy and her passenger, 16 year old Abbie Eckel, city of Eagle Bend, were transported by private vehicle to the hospital to get treated for minor injuries. The truck received moderate damage. 12/16/17 11: QUIKEN RD, BROWERVILLE, MN Burglary On Brian Rapaway reported a theft of several items form his property on Quicken road near Staples, misc hunting gear along with a front seat from a jeep where taken. The theft happened sometime within the last week. 12/15/17 22: COUNTY 100, SAUK CENTRE, MN Accident Injury On at 2213 hours the Todd County Sheriff's Office received a report of a one vehicle crash on County Road 100 near Long Lake Public Access. Mitchell Tesch age 19 of Long Prairie was traveling eastbound on County Road 100 in his 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix when he lost control of the vehicle in snowy conditions going off road causing damage to his vehicle sustaining minor injuries in the crash. The driver was wearing his seat belt at the time of the incident. 12/15/17 19:59 us10 mm 114, MOTLEY Vehicle in Ditch On at 1959 hours, TCSO received a call of a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 10 near Spruce Road in Villard TWP. 47 year old James Sequeira, city of Pillager, was eastbound on Highway 10 in his Chevrolet truck pulling a fish house when he blew a tire on the trailer, causing the fish house to start sliding on the snow covered roadway. James left the roadway and struck some trees in the ditch. James was not injured in the incident. The fish house received damage from the incident. Made by Page 2 of 9

3 12/15/17 07:49 COUNTY 14 / COUNTY 11, CLARISSA, MN Car Deer On Joesph Wimmer,54, from Alexandria was driving east on county road 14 near county road 11 when he hit a deer with his 2017 ford truck, the truck had damage to the driver side front and side. 12/14/17 17:53 COUNTY 21 / State 210, STAPLES, MN Car Deer On :53 hours, Amanda Larson of Staples was North bound on County Road 21 3/4 miles South of Highway 210 when she struck a deer in the traffic lane with her 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Amanda was alone at the time was not hurt and her vehicle sustained moderate damage. 12/14/17 07:22 COUNTY 2 / 337TH AVE, GREY EAGLE, MN Car Deer On Lisa Newhouse, 28, of rural Burtrum hit a deer with her 2009 Kia mini van on county road 2 east of Grey Eagle, the van had damage to the front driver side. Newhouse was not injured int he accident. 12/13/17 20:19 County 14 / 225TH AVE, BROWERVILLE, MN Car Deer On the Todd County Sheriff's Office received a report of a car deer crash on County Road 14 near 225th Avenue. Andrew Vaverek, age 29 of Browerville was traveling eastbound on County 14 in his 2004 Ford F-250 when he struck a deer causing damage. No injuries were reported. 12/12/17 09:46 260th St, LONG PRAIRIE, MN Car Deer On 12/12/17, approximately 0635 hours, Judith Schultz of rural Long Prairie struck a deer on 260th Street in Reynolds Township. Schultz was driving a Ford Edge which sustained passenger side damage, Schultz was not injured. Made by Page 3 of 9

4 12/11/17 09:41 Lake Osakis Schultz Bay, OSAKIS Theft ON 12/11/17, the Todd County Sheriff's Office received a report of a number of fish house break-ins that had occurred during the overnight hours of 12/10 to the morning of 12/11. The fish house break-ins occurred on Maple Lake and Lake Osakis. Anyone with information regarding these thefts is urged to contact the Todd County Sheriff's Office. 12/10/17 19: Fairfax Ln, OSAKIS, MN Fire On at approximately 1956 hours the Todd County Sheriff's Office and the Osakis Fire Department responded to Lake Osakis near Buck Point Resort for a spear house on fire. Upon further investigation it was determined that the fire was an arson. Anyone with information please call the Todd County Sheriff's Office. 12/10/17 16:36 COUNTY 5, LONG PRAIRIE, MN Accident Injury On at approximately 1636 hours the Todd County Sheriff's Office responded to an ATV accident on County 5 near 250th St. Reilmi Castro, 25 of Long Prairie, was injured after rolling the ATV he was riding. Castro was brought to the CentraCare Hospital by a passerby. Castro was not wearing a helmet. 12/09/17 17: COUNTY 23, BERTHA Car Deer On at approximately 1745 hours the Todd County Sheriff's Office responded to a car vs deer collision on County 23. Judy Lamb, of Bertha, had struck a deer with her car causing front end damage. No injuries occurred during the collision. A passerby, Joshua Bahls, was given a car deer possession permit for the deer. 12/09/17 17: COUNTY 86, LONG PRAIRIE, MN Car Deer On at approximately 1715 hours the Todd County Sheriff's Office handled a car vs deer collision on County 86. Danielle Clasemann of Long Prairie had struck a deer with her SUV causing front end damage. No injuries occurred during the collision. A passerby later took the deer and was given a car deer possession permit. Made by Page 4 of 9

5 12/08/17 16:23 Us 71 / County 14, BROWERVILLE, MN Accident Property On at approximately 1623 hours the Todd County Sheriff's Office responded to a hit and run accident at the intersection of US 71 and County 14 in Browerville. Angela Schultz, 40 of Cushing, was Northbound on US 71 when a white, Toyota Tacoma failed to stop at the stop sign on County 14 and collided with Angela's vehicle near the front, driver's side tire. The white, Toyota Tacoma fled the scene immediately. Anyone with information on the driver of the Tacoma is urged to contact the Todd County Sheriff's Office. 12/07/17 17: TH AVE, EAGLE BEND Car Deer On 12/7/17 Jamie Joseph Wieling was traveling southbound in a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado on 135th Avenue near County Road 14 when he was unable to avoid colliding with a deer. The vehicle suffered minimal damage. A car kill permit was issued for the deer. 12/07/17 07:33 County 51, OSAKIS, MN Car Deer On 12/7/17, at approximately 0733 hours, Timothy Hartokolis of Alexandria reported that he struck a deer on County 51 east of Osakis in Gordon Township. Hartokolis was driving a Acura which sustained driver's side damage, Hartokolis was not injured. 12/06/17 17:12 COUNTY 21 / COUNTY 81, BROWERVILLE Car Deer On 12/6/2017, at approximately 1712 hours, Roxanna Talley of rural Clarissa struck a deer near the intersection of County 21 and County 81 in Moran Township. Talley was driving a 2014 Town and Country which sustained minor damage, no injuries were reported. 12/06/17 12: County 21, STAPLES, MN Theft On December 12th Tyler Lagasse reported the theft of a chainsaw from Staples Township section 26. 6 12/06/17 07: County 39, LONG PRAIRIE, MN Burglary On 12/6/17, Jerry Ager reported a burglary at an out building (turkey barn) at the address of County 39. Unknown individual / individuals entered the barn and stole a number of tools. The incident occurred between 12/1 and 12/2. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Todd County Sheriff's Office. 12/05/17 09: GILLIS AVE S, BROWERVILLE, MN Accident Hit & Run On sometime during the night someone ran into a parked boat and trailer 1t 120 Gillis Ave in Browerville. The boat did not appear to have any damage but the trailer was damaged. 12/04/17 10: ND ST, LONG PRAIRIE, MN Theft On December 4th the Sheriff's Office investigated a theft of yard ornaments from a residence in Round Prairie Township. The incident is still under investigation. 12/04/17 08:20 COUNTY 11 / AGENT DR, SAUK CENTRE, MN Damage to Property On Loren Tank reported that his fish house had been broken into and set on fire on Fairy Lake, The incident happened around 1900 on /04/17 06:11 COUNTY 28 / 454TH ST, CUSHING Car Deer On Meridith Ringwelski,44, of Motley reported she was driving east on county road 28 near Philbook when she hit a deer with her 2013 Chevy Silverado truck. the truck had minor front end damage and Ringwelski was not injured. 12/04/17 05: ANNE TRL, GREY EAGLE, MN Damage to Property On it was reported that there where several mail boxes damaged south of Grey Eagle on angler drive by birch lake. 7 12/03/17 10:06 County 9, STAPLES, MN Car Deer On Sunday December 3rd Russell Ash of rural Aldrich struck a deer with his 1992 Dodge pickup on County Rd 9 by Hwy 210. Moderate damage and no injuries were reported. 12/03/17 02: COUNTY 93, OSAKIS, MN Accident Injury On 12/03/2017 at 0239 hours, TCSO received a call of a one vehicle accident that occurred near the address of County 93 in Gordon TWP section 11 in rural Osakis. 26 year old Randy Decker, rural Long Prairie, was driving eastbound on County 93 when he lost control of his 2001 Pontiac Bonneville car and left the roadway. The car rolled over and landed on the roof. Randy was pinned in the vehicle and extricated by the Osakis Fire Department. He was transported to the Long Prairie Hospital and later transfered to the St Cloud Hospital for treatment for non life threatening injuries. The crash is still under investigation. Long Prairie Ambulance, Osakis First Responders and Osakis Fire Rescue assisted at the scene. 12/02/17 19:24 COUNTY 2 / 241ST AVE, GREY EAGLE Car Deer On at 1924 hours, TCSO received a call of a car deer accident that occurred near the intersection of County 2 and 241st Ave in rural Grey Eagle. 54 year old Gregory Cipala, rural Sauk Centre, called to report that he struck a deer on County 2 while driving westbound in his Ford Truck. Gregory was not injured and the truck received moderate damage to the front end. 12/01/17 16: ASCOT RD, GREY EAGLE, MN Accident Property On December 1, 2017 at 1601 hours, the Todd County Sheriff's Office responded to a one vehicle rollover on Ascot Road near the intersection of County Road 47. Alexandra Hanson Roe of Melrose lost control of her 2005 Chevrolet Equinox and rolled the vehicle on Ascot Road. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Roe was wearing her seatbelt and did not receive any injuries. 12/01/17 09: TH AVE, CUSHING, MN Burglary On December 1st the Sheriff's Office responded to a burglary in Fawn Lake Township Section 25. Numerous household type items were stolen from a cabin. The incident is currently under investigation. Made by Page 7 of 9

8 11/28/17 18:40 COUNTY 17 / PACER DR, BROWERVILLE, MN Car Deer On the Todd County Sheriff's Office handled a car vs deer collision on County 17. Gail Anderson of rural Browerville reported that she had hit a deer which caused extensive front end damage to her Silverado. No injuries occurred during the collision. 11/27/17 17:27 281ST AVE / County 59, GREY EAGLE, MN Car Deer On 11/27/2017 at approximately 1800 hours Patrick Mensen, rural Grey Eagle, was traveling south on County Road 59 when he struck a deer with his 2004 Chevy Venture causing damage to the right headlight. Mensen was uninjured in the crash. 11/27/17 10: CEDAR LAKE RD, SAUK CENTRE Damage to Property On 11/27/17, Garry Nelson who resides at Cedar Lake Road reporting that sometime between 11/23/17 and 11/26/17 unknown individual / individuals egged his residence. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Todd County Sheriff's Office. 11/26/17 00: MAIN ST N, HEWITT Terroristic Threat On the Todd County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the address of 712 E 2nd Ave, Hewitt, MN. The search warrant was related to a prior domestic assault call on where the suspect barricaded himself in the home. Todd County authorities arrested Andrew William Goeden age 35 of Hewitt, MN. Goeden was taken to the Todd County Detention Center on a warrant out of Stearns County, and is being held in Todd County until he can be arraigned on charges of Terroristic Threats, domestic assault and 5th degree controlled substance crimes. Todd County Health and Human Services assisted the Sheriff's Office with the placement of four children in the home. The case remains under investigation. 11/25/17 22: County 5, LONG PRAIRIE, MN Theft On 11/25/2017 Jennifer Hudalla of rural Long Prairie reported the theft of Christmas decorations. The vehicle, a volkswagen Jetta, sustained front end damage. Johnson was uninjured in the crash. 11/24/17 17: County 20, CLARISSA, MN Car Deer On 11/24/2017 at approximately 1725 hours Kathryn Yates, rural Clarissa was traveling East on County Road 20 with her 2011 Ford Escape when she struck a deer causing front end damage to her vehicle. Yates was uninjured in the crash. 11/22/17 18:15 260TH ST / 221ST AVE, LONG PRAIRIE, MN Car Deer On 11/22/2017 at 1815 hours, TCSO received a call of a car deer accident that occurred on 260th St west of 221st Ave in Reynolds TWP. 48 year old Russell Bruder, rural Long Prairie, reports he struck a deer in the traffic lane on 260th St west of 221st Ave. russell was not injured in the incident and his Doge truck was not damaged in the incident.
