Unit 2 had green light and Unit 1 had flashing yellow left signal. Unit 1 collided with Unit 2 in the intersections causing heavy damage to both vehicles. Both vehicles impounded from the scene. Driver #2 stated she was traveling Eastbound on Excelsior Blvd. Driver #2 stated her traffic lane had a solid green light on on the semaphore. Unit 2 traveling eastbound Excelsior Blvd continuing eastbound through Shady Oak Rd, green light. Unit 1 stated did not see Unit 2 when pulled out in front due to semi blocking his vision that was in intersection going southbound Shady Oak Rd turning eastbound Excelsior Blvd. Unit 2 stated semi was eastbound Excelsior Blvd turning northbound Shady Oak Rd in intersection. Witness 1 stated he was westbound Excelsior Blvd behind Unit 1, and that semi was eastbound Excelsior Blvd turning northbound Shady Oak Rd in intersection, stated semi blocked Unit 1's vision. 8 Remarks Vehicle # 1 and vehicle #2 were coming to a stop in the left turn lane of Plymouth Road to Ridgedale Drive. Vehicle #3 was directly behind vehicle #1 and attempting to proceed south on Plymouth Road. The driver of vehicle #3 stated that when the driver of vehicle #1 merged into the left turn lane it came to a quick stop and was still partially in the south bound lane of Plymouth Road. The driver of vehicle #3 was unable to stop before colliding with vehicle #1. The collision caused vehicle #1 to move forward and collide with the back of vehicle #2. 10 Remarks Veh #2 was traveling NB on Hopkins Crossroads. Veh #1 was following behind Veh #2. Veh #1 ss a Police officer who was on routine patrol in a fully marked squad car. Drv#1 was running the plate of Veh #2 and looking at his computer. Veh #2 was slowing down to make the turn into her driveway off of Hopkins Crossroads. Drv #2 noticed that Veh #1 wasn't slowing down and she let off the brake prior to the collision. Drv#1 tried to avoid the collision by swerving to the right off of the road. inor damage to Veh #1 right front rim and hit the rear passenger bumper of Veh#2 with the push bumper. No injuries.
