In fact, it was the doubles events which rescued England for the second night running. As in Portsmouth on Tuesday night, England lost both singles as Aamir Ghaffar lost to Bjoern Joppien and Tracey Hallam lost to Xu Huaiwen, both in straight games. But Robertson and Robert Blair won the match by beating giant Ingo Kindervater and Kristof Hopp after national champions Ella Tripp and Jo Wright had trounced Nicole Grether and Carina Mette in the women's doubles to make it 2-2 on the night. Thanks to William Kings for this report See longer reports on BAofE website Development Coaching as part of the Tour The women's doubles was always going to be pivotal.
