3 Merdeka Day Run: 31 st August 2017 Dear Hash House Harriets Members, This year we will be celebrating Merdeka Day with a special committee run on 31 st August. As it is a holiday the run will start at 5.00pm and the venue is the Quarry at the Botanical Gardens. Guest fees are RM30 and includes food and a T-shirt. To facilitate catering and printing, please let us have your guests details, including T-shirt size by 21 st August 2017 (latest) via to: On On. Biking Sheila On- Sec

4 Run: 2373 Date: 03 August 2017 Venue: Bukit Gambir Chinese Temple Bunny: Virgin Handbag GM s Run Notes Speedhound was kind enough to give me a lift to the run site along with Molly. Upon arrival the bunny and her friends were congregated at a corner and I wondered why. The sun then came out from behind a cloud and I knew why, as even Molly and I searched for shade. The run had been set on Monday and once again on Tuesday, with a number of people and the bunny going in, which gave me a rest from setting for once! As soon as the hashers went off to climb the hill behind the Temple, Akz Hole and I headed for the Tea House past the horse stables. It was a good 40 mins walk up and about 20 down, so the timing was great for the return of the FRBs showing up just as we got back. It must have been a relatively short run for all were back quite soon with the exception of Silentman who kept a guest company. By that time the food had arrived, beers were being drunk and the weather discussed. As soon as the late ones had eaten we had the circle. Whilst waiting however, I took the opportunity to look around from the vantage point and it can be clearly seen the face of Bukit Gambir is changing, as hills here today are seemingly gone by the third day, all in the name of progress and more expensive housing that local people cannot afford but money for the developers. It seems we will become a mirror image of Hong Kong one day!! Shame as the Penang I love is changing and not for the better. Next week we are at Pekaka (Lebuh Pekaka 1 Street parking) for Palani Mission Impossible run. Please all come along to support him. It should be a great night as he is celebrating his birthday!

11 The Circle Welcome to all our guests, both paying and invitees but no beer!!

13 The Circle The GM called Johnny Walker and Black Label to the ice. It was announced that although they have been in Penang a short time and do like it, they are returning home to LANGKAWI of all places. The beer is cheaper says JW!! We do hope you will pay us a visit sometime and run with us.

14 The Circle A spurious charge by the GM saw ex-member Adelya on ice. She had complained that she got no beer when being called as a guest, so the GM put her on ice to give her a beer.

15 The Circle A charge from the floor by Itchy Bai put Black German on ice. The crime was picking passion fruit and then giving it to a female guest!! A new daughter perhaps??

16 The Circle Another charge from the floor by Counterfeit put Speedhound on the ice and she brought along Imposter as well. It appears that Speedhound doesn t get the right name for her husband, Imposter and insists he is Ian Jones and not Ian Jolley. But I like being on a Jolley not a Jones said Counterfeit!!
