In addition, a parking space for the recce cars is reserved near the Service Park at Jääkärinkatu 31. Trailers are not allowed at the parking spaces of the Rally Office or Service Park! CHANGING ROOMS AND SHOWERS FOR COMPETITORS The locker rooms of the gym in Building D of Mikkeli Campus (Service Park) are at

7 contestants use throughout the competition. Building D is open on Friday from 6am to 12pm and on Saturday from 7am to 9pm. There is a sauna for competitors at Sokos Hotel Vaakuna between 6pm 9pm. DISTRIBUTION AND RETURNING OF TIME KEEPING TRANSPONDERS AND SAFETY TRACKIN DEVICE Distribution of safety tracking device for competition Classes 1-16: Thu 15 Feb 5pm 9pm during the voluntary check-up of competition documents or on Fri 16 Feb 6pm onwards during the actual check-up of competition documents (Mikkeli Campus building D, Patteristonkatu 3 (service park) Seurantalaite is returned immediately after the recce to the Rally Office. Seurantalaitteita are not used in Special Stage 1. Distribution of safety tracking device for competition classes 1-16 on Sat 17 Feb 9.30am onwards at Rally Office classes Sat 17 Feb during the check-up of competition documents (Mikkeli Campus building D, Patteristonkatu 3, service park). It is not allowed to attach EMERGENCY BUTTONS with cable ties, but with the straps you receive with the emergency buttons. Distribution of time keeping transponders All race cars are equipped with time keeping transponders, that are given to contestants (classes 1-16) during the check-up of competition documents on Thursday or Friday at the Rally Office (Mikkeli Campus building D, Patteristonkatu 3, service park). To classes time keeping transponders will be distributed during check-up of competition documents at Rally Office on Saturday 17 Feb (Mikkeli Campus building D, Patteristonkatu 3, service park). The device is attached with a strap to the top of the wind shield next to the rearview mirror or with a strap/cable tie in the middle of the first rollcage pipe from the sidewindow The contestant is in charge of installing the time keeping device to the racecar. Time keeping transponders are not collected back for the night. Returning of safety tracking devices and time keeping transponders All classes 1-25 return the safety tracking system and time keeping transponders on Saturday to the finish AT of the race. In case of retirement the contestant or the service must return the equipment to Rally Office (Mikkeli Campus Service Park) with the retirement form. If the time keeping transponder is mechanically broken or not retuned the result service will charge 150.

8 IMPORTANT DURING THE COMPETITION The rally info and service actions START / SUPER SPECIAL STAGE The 1 st leg of the competition starts at the trotting track on Friday at 16.35pm. The starts happen every full minute. The first pair of SS1, which is a spectaror stage, starts at 6.45pm. There is no separate Parc Fermè area at the start area of the competition, but the organizer recommends that the contestants arrive to the start area no less than 10 minutes before their start. At the super special stage at Mikkeli Ravirata two cars start together (just like in other special stages) on tracks next to each other. The first car to arrive to the special stage is directed to track 1 and the next car to track 2. The cars follow the route switching the track at the tunnel/bridge combination and cross the finish line at the same spot where they started the special stage. The maximum time at Mikkeli Ravirata special stage is three minutes. If the super special stage needs to be retired, the drivers will be noticed with a red flag. The list of competitors entitled to start the race and the start times are available online at Time card A (classes 1-16) is handed over to contestant at the TC 0 (AT/TC 0) of SS1, which is located at Mikkeli Ravirata. RETIREMENT AND NIGHT BREAK If the contestant retires the part 1 of the competition or if his right to start part 1 is denied by the clerk of the course, the contestant has a possibility to repair the technical fault or the element the scrutineering has specified and to take part in part 2 of the competition. The contestant must inform in writing his willingness to continue the race by Friday 16 Feb 11pm. The object time for the special stage the contestant did not finish, will be the fastest time of the class + 5 minutes. After SS2, a contestant retiring before parc ferme is given a 5-minute penalty. The car of the contestant that retired but continues the race, is inspected at Parc Ferme in Mikkeli Toriparkki on Saturday 17 Feb, an hour before the start of the first contestant. Only the cars approved in inspection are admitted the right to start part 2 of the competition. LEG 2 The crews of classes get their time cards (time card B) on Saturday 17 Feb from the start area (AT/TC 1F). The ideal start times of the competition are announced online at

The Service Park is concentrated. Service is allowed only in this area. In other areas only, the crew is allowed to do repairing actions using only the tools in the race car. SERVICE 1, SERVICE TIME: 33 min Service park has an incoming TC (free check-in) and outgoing TC (free check-in) CHANGE TO NORMAL TRAFFIC TYRES! The competitors can enter the Parc Fermé only with normal traffic tyres NOTE! Service Park TC s (TC 1C and TC 1D) have free check-in / Arrival to night break / Parc Fermé (TC 1G) is free. SERVICE 2, SERVICE TIME: 15 min Service park has an incoming TC (TC 1G) and outgoing TC (TC 1H), please see the service park map SERVICE 3, SERVICE TIME: 33+3 min Service park has an incoming TC (TC 3C) and outgoing TC (TC 3D), please see the service park map SERVICE 4, REGROUP MAX. 30 MIN, MINIMUN 3 MIN + SERVICE TIME 30+3 MIN Regroup time is to be spent in competitor s own service area. The organiser will provide a time to the windscreen when the service actions can be started.

10 The service park is available for use on Friday at 12am onwards. The organizer reserves an area from the service park for each contestant, as it states in the rules of Finnish Rally Championships. Please note that there IS NOT ANY surveillance guards at night time. Only one service car per each contestant pair is allowed at the service park. The organizer will give a sign that states service car and the sign with the service car s registration number must be attached to the service car s wind shield. The sign must be visible throughout the competition. Stewards will monitor the service area. Smoking is allowed only in the places stated in the service area map. In case of something important to inform to the contestants or their service, the organizer of the competition can send group text messages. The messages are sent through MESSTO text message system and can t be replied to. FINISH The finish of the competition is located in Mikkeli market square (Mikkelin tori). The finish is check-in free.

11 All the contestants drive through the podium, where the drivers to be rewarded get out of the cars to be photographed. CHECK-UP OF COMPETITION DOCUMENTS The voluntary check-up of competition documents and distribution of pre-introductory materials for classes 1-16 takes place in Rally Office (Mikkeli Campus, Building D, Patteristonkatu 3) on Thursday 15 Feb at 7pm-9pm. Actual check-up of competition documents is on the same address on Friday 16 Feb at 6am onwards. The check-up of competition documents for classes takes place in Rally Office on Mikkeli Campus on Saturday 17 Feb at 8am onwards. During the check-up of competition documents the contestants are also checked: A valid driver s license from driver A valid driver s license, a picture ID or passport from co-driver An entrant license (in case the informer is not a crew member) During the document check-up also a signature for the registration and handed material is collected a filled pre-registration form is collected a filled information sheet is collected Please remember to inform possible changes (driver, entrant, car) as soon as possible. The contestants will get 1 road book 2 route maps 2 recce car number plates, classes notification against a time marking 1 service car sign 1 service park map 2 competition numbers tyre-/additional light waiver If the contestants don t want to receive all the distributed materials, they can name a representative (e.g. mechanic) to collect the material later from the Mikkeli Campus Rally Office.

12 ORGANISER S NOTICES FOR THE RECCE Reconnaissance starts on Friday 16 Feb at 7am and ends 5pm. As an exception the recce of SS1which is 7am-12am. Please note when choosing a recce car, that there is a bridge on SS1 which free height is 2,2 meters. SS1 bridge (photo: Jari Outinen) During the recce the contestants can drive the track two times, starting from track 1. A separate recce for track 2 is not conducted. During the recce all the signs marked in the road book are visible on the special stages except SS1 where the signs are marked with the official signs.

On the station competitors can use a four different fuel pistol and an ATM! Please see the picture. Fuelings are marked on the road book is allowed only between the points mentioned on the road book. Fueling from a can is allowed immediately after the outgoing TC in the service park and at Juva ABD, Tulostie, Juva.

16 SAFETY CHECK-UP When arriving to safety check-up, the competition numbers must be attached to the car, and the car must have tires approved by the Finnish law CLASSES 1-16 The contestant must reserve a time for safety check-up online via website. You can choose from a basic and turbo check-up, you must also fill asked information. The basic one is only for those cars without a turbo charger. The time must be reserved between pm. If the time is not reserved, there will be a 50 penalty fee which must be paid 1h 30 min before competitor s start time. The competitor must be at the check-up 10 min before own time. Document will be checked. Arriving late will cause a penalty fee of 50 which must be paid to the rally office 1h 30 min before competitor s start time. It the fee is not paid the right to start will be withdrawn. After accepted document check-up the arrival time will be filled in the scrutineering book and given to the driver who can proceed to the scrutineering. If the competitor doesn t reserve a time, has the organiser right to locate him/her in any place and to collect a fee of 50. The same fee will be announced if the competitor is late and the organiser gives a new time. If the competitor is still late the clerk of the course can withdraw the right to start the competition. If the competitor wishes to change the time after choosing it via the system and after the system has closed, the organiser will announce a fee of 50. These fees must be paid to the rally office 1 h 30 min before the competitor s start time. If the fee is not paid, the right to start the competition will be withdrawn. In the safety check-up the car s safety equipment and all the driving equipment the crew plans to use (including HANS/FHR head restraint) are being thoroughly checked. In the safety check-up the competitor or his representative must show inspection card admitted by AKK (not needed from a non-finnish competitor and he s/her car registered abroad) homologation sheet rollcage homologation sheet or sertificate (if classified or sertified) registration document/transfer permit To speed up and streamline the safety check-up the contestants or crews must be presenting the car s papers no less than 10 minutes before the reserved inspection time. There s no actual TC point in safety check up but the administrative check will act as a TC point.

17 The inspection record will be distributed after the car s papers have been checked at the safety check-up place. The inspection record is left to the organizers after an accepted safety check-up. The safety check-up for classes 1-16 takes place in Etelä-Savon Katsastus (Uusitie 1) according to the reserved times. Safety check-up ends at 4pm. SEALING The competitors or their representatives must prepare the restrictors for measuring. The sealing wires must be ready on their place for sealing. After measuring the restrictors will be sealed and marked down to the scrutineering book. EQUIPMENT CHECK-UP The drivers driving equipment is checked in a separate space according to the inspection times. TYRE MARKING (classes 1-6) In classes 1-6 it s allowed to use maximum of 10 tires. The competitors must deliver a list of all the numbers of the FIA-codes on the tires with the Tyre Bar Code Form attached to this document by the time the car s papers are being checked at the safety check-up. The sheet is attached to the competitors guide. If there isn t a FIA code in the tires that the contestants use, the contestant must contact the Chief of Scrutineering Hannu Korkka ( ) no later than the day before the safety check-up and ask for alternative instructions. CLASSES The safety check-up for classes takes place on Saturday 17 Feb in Etelä- Savon Katsastus (Uusitie 1) according to the schedule below. The safety check-up ends at 11.30am. SCHEDULE numbers The safety check-up for classes ends at 9.30am. To speed up and streamline the safety check-up the contestants or crews must be presenting the car s papers no less than 10 minutes before the reserved inspection time. PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY The prizes for all classes are given in Bar n Night Vaakuna at Sokos Hotel Vaakuna. Classes 1-16 at 9pm and classes at 9.30pm. Best three competitors are awarded from each class.
