9 Goals The general goals for the demand response element of this proposed fare policy update are to achieve a fare structure, which is: COMPASSIONATE: Providing a discounted rate for elderly and disabled riders CONSISTENT: Prescribing a pricing system wherein riders going similar distances pay a similar fare CONVENIENT: Allowing Drivers and Call Center Agents to easily quote fares 9
10 Policy Concerns The new fare policy will not increase net fare revenue. Senior trips to the nearest senior center (same city) will remain a zero dollar fare. Personal Care Assistant s fare will remain a zero dollar fare. The new fare policy provides equity across our current and future service areas. 10
