1 Results of the Stars of the Future Show Saturday 11 November 2017 Judge: Mr Alan Bosomworth There was a fantastic display of young cattle from all breeds at the Stars of the Future Show held on Saturday 11 November 2017, at Stirling. Not least was the magnificent display of Highland young stock put in front of Judge Alan Bosomworth from Ormsary. The Highland Cattle Society would like to thank Adrian Ivory, Carol Rettie and all the Stars of the Future organising committee for the efficient and well run show and United Auctions for their stewarding and the use of their facilities. Senior Championship Classes Senior Male Champion & Overall Senior Champion Lot 103 Alasdair of Clackriach a red bull by Alasdair 4 th of Woodneuk that was born on 5 February 2016 from Veronica & Kevin from Maud, Aberdeenshire. The Thomson s had a fantastic day crowned when Shannon Thomson won the Senior Young Handlers class for those aged between and Callum Thompson was a runner-up in the junior young handlers section.

Skye of Little Rannoch a red heifer born on 10 January 2016 by Fearghus of Balmoral out of Skye 3 rd of Rannoch. Reserve Senior Male Champion Lot 104 from H M The Queen with Coirneal of Balmoral born on 15 February 2016 by Prionnsa Dubh of Craigowmill. Reserve Senior Female Champion Lot 114 Sidonia 5 th of Balnabroich from Michael & Sally Nairn. This red heifer born on 16 March 2016 by Cliadhamph Mor of Balmoral is out of Sidonia 8 th of Ormsary.

3 Junior Championship Classes Junior Male Champion & Overall Junior Champion Lot 124 from H M The Queen with a Black bull by Prionnsa Dubh of Craigowmill out of Connachat 66 th of Balmoral, called Ozzie of Balmoral, born on 13 February Junior Female Champion and Reserve Overall Junior Champion Alan Prentice had a fantastic day winning the Junior Female, Reserve Junior Female and Reserve Overall Junior Champion. The Junior Female Champion and Reserve Overall Junior Champion was Lot 147 Banrigh 8 of Hyndford. This red heifer was born on 15 April 2017 by Alexander of Glengorm and out of Banrigh 3 rd of Hyndford. Reserve Junior Female Champion Lot 145 June 22 nd of Hyndford from Alan Prentice born on 12 April 2017 by Alexander of Glengorm out of June 11 of Hyndford. Reserve Junior Male Champion Lot 119 from Ian Adams, Fergus Dubh of Brathens a January 2017 black bull by Iain Dubh of Gleann Dadh out of Frangag Dubh of Cladich.
